You’re doing just fine.

Other Random Facts:
Memory
Calgary is very intelligent - more so than the average RPW. She has a semi-photographic-memory, which means that for most anything, she can remember what happened word-for-word and moment-for-moment. Her mind takes pictures of the moments or words and saves them for later, and she can access them at any time she wishes. With certain things, however, her mind doesn't retain them as easily as it does the rest of stuff it contains. It is unknown why certain things give her difficulty, but these things are very few and far between - most anything that Calgary has read or witnessed she can remember with ease.

Etiquette
Etiquette? Calgary couldn't care less. She'll behave as those around her behave - if she's eating with her command squad and they're all shoveling food into their mouths, she'll do the same. If she's eating with beings who are more refined, she'll copy their behavior. Left to her own devices, Calgary isn't the most etiquette-conscious RPW out there - some would say she eats like a pig. She figures that it's better to eat enough and get the sustenance that you need than to be dainty and not eat what you need to eat to survive.

Grooming
Calgary doesn't care much for grooming. She'll keep herself looking presentable, but she doesn't put much stock into a nice-looking RPW if they can't hold their own in a fight. In her eyes, beauty is a useful tool to have for a certain amount of specific tasks, but besides those tasks, beauty is overrated and shouldn't be counted as the most important thing in anyone's life.

Posture and Gait
Even when she's feeling down, Calgary never lets anyone see what she's really feeling. Her posture is always erect, and she always tries her best to sit straight and walk with her wings folded neatly at her sides. If she's flying, she takes charge of whatever happens to be going on quickly just by her presence. Calgary stands tall and walks with pride. She knows that if you don't look tough, you won't be perceived as tough. She walks with purpose, with her head held high in every situation that she comes across. The very sight of her seems to instill fear in her subordinates, and she uses this fact to her advantage when she wants them to do something.

Coordination
Calgary has trained long and hard for years of her life, and she's very well-coordinated and not clumsy at all. She can hold any war instrument with ease, and doesn't mind having to deal with heavy items or paw-to-paw combat. You will never find her tripping over plants or running into rocks - she's quite light on her feet, and is very flexible.

Communication and Sociability
If Calgary goes into her battle mode, she'll snap orders at you and show no mercy. She doesn't care if you're a child or an adult - she'll treat you as she does any being alongside her in battle: harshly.
If you're just talking to her in every day chatter, she probably won't listen to a word you have to say and will clearly ignore you until you provide her with information that she actually needs or wants. On occasion she'll be willing to listen to what you'll have to say if it's not related to what she needs to know - but these moments are very few and far between.

Dominance
While in her past she wasn't very vocal and certainly wasn't leader material, Calgary's rough life since has molded and shaped her into a fine leader fit for any battle she may come across. Calgary is confident in herself, and this definitely comes across in her display of dominance towards any being who is under her supervision or under her command.

Humor
Calgary has a lack of achievement when it comes to laughing at a lot of things. She might fully understand a joke and see how others could find humor in it, but not laugh at it herself. Most of the time she's stone-faced and doesn't smile. Only if she's with the right being will she open up and smile, perhaps...but laughter is still very difficult to get out of her. In her past she smiled and laughed a lot - but due to the difficulties life threw her way, she no longer is the happy RPW she once was.

Habits/Mannerisms
Calgary undertakes very few habits or mannerisms. She often will blow her hair out of her face or use a headband to hold back her thick hair, and sometimes she fidgets with it, but this is quite rare to witness.

Ego
Calgary can be both egotistical and humble - it all depends on what her mindset is at that moment. She can be quite big-headed when she's bossing her subordinates around, but she can be meek and calm when she's having a conversation with a younger RPW. The measure of her ego honestly changes with how she feels and to whom she is speaking.

Emotional Stability
Calgary's emotional stability is very much like a train wreck...but you'd never know it by looking at her. She often snaps and gets angry at others for no apparent reason - this is due to her ravaged mind, haunted by her past experiences. She often will push others away when they only want to get closer to her, and she doesn't have many friends because of this. Her emotional stability is extremely fragile, and on certain days, even the smallest thing will set her off. She'll never let anyone know why she is this way, as she has a great distrust of everyone around her - even those above her in rank. She doesn't trust anyone - and this, in turn, causes a paranoia reaction in her, thus making her even less likely to make friends with others.

Moral Strengths:
Kindness
Gentleness
Patience
Goodness
Faithfulness
Self-Control

Moral Weaknesses:
Joy
Love
Peace

Primary Objective(s):
Win the war.

Secondary Objective(s):
Help others.

Greatest Achievement:
Saving Festus and Astaroth from certain danger.

Greatest Failure:
Never telling her parents how much she loved and appreciated them.

Earliest Memory:
Her mother, while not the most loving RPW in her later years was very loving towards Calgary when she was a pup. Calgary's earliest memory is of her mother singing her to sleep every night as she stared up at the star-streaked sky.

Best Memory:
Her father was very loving towards her, and often would take her outside for flying lessons. The little pup caught on quickly, and one of her best memories is flying alongside her father through the clear, open sky.

Worst Memory:
She was flying through a storm once, and the wind was so strong that it knocked her out of the sky and caused her to fall to the ground. Getting back up again, gritting her teeth as she was forced to stand and walk home through the wind and sleet, was the first absolutely bad thing that she had to do. It was a humiliating experience, and she doesn't like to dwell upon it very frequently.

Relationships:
Mother and Father

Calgary had an excellent relationship with her mother growing up...but when she reached adulthood, her mother turned sour towards her, and became calloused and rude. Her father was nicer, and certainly was the more loving of her two parents, but even he turned against her when she became an adult and started making decisions that both of her parents disagreed with. Calgary changed her name because she didn't want to be associated with the "weaklings" her parents had become. She felt she didn't belong, so she left home and cut off all communication with them. Over the years she found that she might have been too rash with them and too easily-angered, and wanted to make things right when she got the chance. When she'd found out they'd died, she felt crushed and upset that she never got to apologize for her bad behavior or mend her relationships with them.

Arzu

Calgary gets along well with Arzu. Arzu, like Calgary, is detached from a great many RPWs, and tends to be a loner. Whenever Calgary needs to find something rare, she'll head over to wherever Arzu is located and bargain with her to get her to part with the items she needs. Would Arzu be open to the idea, Calgary would consider her to be a friend - but seeing as Arzu isn't the most normal RPW around, she doesn't really understand the concept of friendship, and thus continues in her loner-like ways, even though Calgary would love to count her as a friend.
Ravendarus wrote:Arzu is ruthless… or at least seems like it. She will do anything to get what she wants and won't take no for an answer. She has a darker sense on the world and doesn't really see that much light; that being said she's never had anything precious to bring her light. Arzu has a habit of collecting rarer things of value, such as cursed objects, or even shadow's tears. Though she wouldn't hesitate on grabbing a jewel or two, she has a deepened desire for shiny things. Gold amuses her simply for it's shine, nothing else. Arzu herself doesn't really care for her past, it wasn't the reason she became like this, in a way she was born like that. She doesn't have any family that she knows of, so with no personal attachment she is very detached from others. If you insulted her, she probably wouldn't show that much care, nor would she insult back, though there is a small chance she might if you have nothing for her to take. Arzu doesn't understand the meaning of the word nice, she finds it to be a dull meaningless word, like most others, 'Talk is cheap' to her. Overall she is a dark girl with a strange past and a desire like no other.

Astaroth

Calgary has compassion for Astaroth, as she feels sad for the little pup. She'll help her out whenever she can, as she understands feeling like you're broken or left-out or on the outside looking in. She understands what this pup has had to go through, and finds comfort in being around the little one. She's very protective of Astaroth, as she knows that the pup needs defending against those that would wish to harm her. Should she need to do so, she'd be willing to sacrifice her own life so that Astaroth might live - yes, she truly does care for the pup that much.
Ravendarus wrote:Astaroth much like her mother Sephora has tone down emotions. She doesn't get overly excited for anything really. There are times where she can really shine with her emotions but it really depends on how she is feeling. Star was born without the ability to walk, being known as the broken child made it difficult for her childhood. She was pretty much raised by her siblings as her mother Sephora didn't have much time for her, and Zen wasn't overly gentle… though she could be. Star is usually very sad on her own, she dreams of being able to walk on her own and not need the assistance of others. Star very much enjoys the company of others, she really doesn't like being alone.

Festus

Calgary feels very protective of Festus, as she likes the little pup very much. The young one often gets stuck in places, and Calgary will go and fetch him and help him out of whatever pickle he's gotten himself into. She has a fondness for the little one, having saved him and helped him so many times...and she'll protect him with her life, should it come to that.
rainbowM&MsInSpring wrote:Festus is such a daring RPW who doesn't back down to any challenge. He tends
to be careless and makes lots of mistakes because of his ADHD (lack of attention).
He loves to joke around even if its about himself, though he does get a bit hurt
when others do that to him. Festus, overall, is lively and energetic with good intentions.

Nightengale

While it took awhile for Calgary to warm up to Nightengale, the two are now fairly close - almost friends, but not quite. Nightengale is an odd RPW, and often helps Calgary whenever the archangel needs anything from her, be it her services or items she finds. Calgary often will go to Nightengale, should Arzu be unwilling to help her with whatever she needs to obtain.
Ravendarus wrote:Nightengale can be seen as almost brooding, she seems dark and comes off as very mysterious. Nightengale is hardly shy and tends to distance herself away from others for their own protection despite her longing for company. Nightengale being alone most of her life has become very blunt, she only speaks the truth and doesn't really care if it hurts to hear it. She is rather clever and is always thinking ahead of any situation that comes before her, she is quick to think on her paws and rarely hesitates. In a sense she is also very lonely and can come off as cold, not having much company around she tends to be quiet. Overall Nightengale tends to hide herself away from others, and though she has a cold outlook on things, deep down she is rather curious about others.

Phoenix

Seeing as Phoenix has demon blood in her, Calgary is a little wary of this RPW. She wants to like the sweetheart, as she knows the wolf is easily hurt and vulnerable, but Calgary never lets her guard down when she's around her, as she doesn't find any RPW with demon blood to be trustworthy. Calgary doesn't like Phoenix's shy nature - she thinks of it as secretive and shady. If she can help it, Calgary will spend as little time with Phoenix as she possibly can. However, if forced to be in her presence, she'll suck it up and deal with her accordingly.
Ravendarus wrote:Quiet, shy, but truthly sweet, much like her mother, with a bit of a darker twist, she has a tender heart and can be easily hurt. Because of her demon blood she is shown to get jealous rather easily, but also angry. Phoenix doesn't like to hurt others and tries her best to just stay away. She is probably the loner of her family, she doesn't seek attention towards herself and does often prefer to be alone. Aside from when she is with friends, or those she trusts. Phoenix in truth is a little shy, hiding her face in her hair and rather afraid of being judged.

Atreyu

Calgary very much dislikes Atreyu. She almost hates him - but it's not quite hatred, so she considers it to be dislike. She can't stand his pompous attitude and his harsh personality. She doesn't like how he has such a disregard for the rules and doesn't respect those that he needs to respect. The more she can stay away from him, the better. She dislikes being in his presence, and cannot stand having to order him around, as she knows he'll just rebel and won't follow her orders.
Wolphee wrote:Atreyu is a daredevil and annoying jerk mostly, who thinks he's better than anyone, and doesn't need anyone and pushes most everyone away, even though he's inherently rather lonely. It takes a very long time for him to come to care about anyone, but even when he does he still treats them kinda poorly, he'll just jump in and stand up for them if anyone else tries to treat them poorly. He's very selfish and hedonistic and mostly just does whatever he wants and doesn't care what others think.

Adonna

While Calgary doesn't absolutely adore hanging around Adonna, she'd rather hang around Atreyu's younger sibling than Atreyu himself. She likes the fact that Adonna constantly annoys her older brother, as it honestly makes Calgary's job much easier. She also appreciates how protective Adonna is of her little sister, Eve, as Calgary understands the protective nature of the young one. While Adonna isn't Calgary's BFF, she doesn't mind hanging around the young one.
Wolphee wrote:Adonna is Atreyu's little sister, and is very close with her 'twin' Eve, and makes it her duty to protect her much more innocent sister. She is incredibly flirtatious (with males and females both) and can be manipulative, and loves nothing more than annoying the crap out of Atreyu. She's very blunt and doesn't really care if she hurts feelings, but she loves adventure and meeting others and is overall nicer than her brother most of the time.

Nurvus

Calgary doesn't really know how to describe her relationship with Nurvus. She only met him at one point in her life, but she's never forgotten him since that time. While at first he was extremely hostile towards her and wanted to kill her, once he found the similarities between them, he backed down and didn't try to attack her any longer, however, he didn't really like her - it was more like he was putting up with her being present for a short period of time. He didn't try to kill her, nor did he try to befriend her. Calgary gets a pained feeling in her chest whenever she thinks about the poor thing, manipulated by the very scientists that kept him alive...she wishes she could have eased his pain and suffering some, but knows that even though she wishes this with all of her heart, it would never have been possible.
Consulting Time Lord wrote:Test subject seems to react harshly to light; he flinches and cowers when lights are turned on; he seems to love when it's very dark in his chamber
Test subject seems to dislike being touched by any living thing; he will growl and snap if any creature comes close to him without warning
Test subject seems to enjoy tricking scientists; he will act cute and playful, but beware and do not approach the test subject when he's acting like this; test subject will violently attack any creature that comes close when he acts like this
.... Test subject seems to enjoy aerial exercises and will soar about whenever possible.
When put in a room with any other creature, the test subject will attack at first sight, even if the other creature poses no threat; Test subject will not stop until the other creature has submitted to him, and even after that point he will kill them unless interfered with by scientists.

Consulting Time Lord wrote:One of the scientists, a rookie on the job, had gone to feed Nurvus. Being unprepared for just how desperate the wolf was to escape, he wasn't ready, and Nurvus attacked him, killing him. He made a run for the exit, managing to avoid or near-fatally damage any scientists that tried to stop him on his way out.
Once out of the testing facility, Nurvus went to the sky immediately. He flew off to the north, not sure where exactly he was headed. He flew for days, soaring past the mountains on his way to freedom, until he came to a densely-forested area. Exhausted, he landed, feeling it was far enough away from the facility for him to be safe.
That forest is where he lives now. Since his escape, Nurvus has become much less hostile, and has grown calm, though he's still calm and distrusting. He's taken to caring for a young RPW as his son and he no longer attacks others on sight. Though he does still prefer the darkness, and has a fear of anyone being able to betray him, he can grow to trust someone if they take it slowly enough.
I'm sure he wonders about what happened to the angel wolf that tried to be befriend him quite often.

Castle

Calgary feels sorry for Castle, but hasn't ever really realized what she's had to go through. She knows that the reason she lost her wings in the first place was because of horrid behavior on her part, but Calgary still doesn't fully understand why or how the small RPW came to own her own metallic set of wings. Calgary has no idea that Castle is Nurvus's sister, but seeing as she only met Nurvus once, this isn't a surprising fact. Calgary often feels protective of the little one, even though she is an adult and not a child, because this little one doesn't know much about the world around her, and Calgary just has this motherly instinct towards her. This may be due to them both being angels, but it may also be due to Calgary's past with the little one.
butter rum wrote:Her wings were cut because she lost her grace. She made her self a pair of mechanical wings.
Her halo falls when ever she does something bad or naughty. She is not pps but is just short.
....Castle is quiet and still thinks deeply about things. She likes to be in the dark due to her childhood. She is extreamly shy and quiet. ....They had the same parents, one angelic and one not. So Castle was the only child who had the angle gene. They both got the testing wings but Castle escaped from the facility, not knowing her only living brother was still there.

Yukino

Calgary very much likes Yukino and her calm, decisive ways. She loves how the RPW can figure out a way to get something done without using violence, and wishes she was more like the sweet, loving RPW. Yukino isn't quite a friend to Calgary, but will help her out in a pickle, and because of this, Calgary has promised to do the same for her. They are more like acquaintances than friends, but Calgary doesn't mind - she doesn't have a large circle of friends, anyway, and she knows that her rough personality and odd looks will ward off anyone who might ever want to be friends with her.
Lilloa wrote:Yukino shares a very unique combination of traits: though soft-spoken, she has very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea she believes in. Yukino is decisive and strong-willed, but will rarely use that energy for personal gain – Yukino will act with creativity, imagination, conviction and sensitivity not to create advantage, but to create balance. Egalitarianism and karma are very attractive ideas to her, and she tends to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants

Sorako

Calgary quite likes Sorako's quiet demeanor and calm ways. She isn't easily-angered, and Calgary likes that about her. If the wolf would open up and talk a little more, Calgary would definitely consider Sorako to be her friend. However, because of Sorako's closed-off personality and shunning mannerisms, Calgary knows she'll never be able to be friends with the lonely RPW...no matter how badly she may want that to change.
Pokechu12 wrote:Sorako herself is a wolf who doesn't speak- well, not to other wolves anyway. Most of her experiences with others have been bad, so she tends to shut herself off. Sora lives in a treetop den in a forest, and despite not liking the company of others, she will heal any wolves she finds in the forest with her paint. After getting to know her a little she tends to be observant and quick-thinking and benevolent.

How Did She Get Her Scars?

Calgary twisted in pain, feeling the humans grab ahold of her wings harshly, almost crushing them with their meaty hands. She bucked, kicked, snarled, growled...to no avail. Her cracked halo flashed and grew brighter as her fury erupted. Frightening sounds escaped her lips as she snarled and screamed at the two humans dragging her through the large metal doors. They slammed behind her. A brief buzzing sound filled her ears, and a green light flashed once. She was shoved rather roughly through a smaller door and into a darkened room.
The door slammed shut, locking itself behind her.
She growled one final time, shook her hair out of her eyes, and stood, trying her hardest to make something out in the darkness before her.
A fierce growling filled her ears.
She turned around, coming eye to eye with a feral Rainbow Paint Wolf. He snarled, his sharp teeth bared and his metallic wings glowing red in the darkness. The only thing she could see besides the glow from his wings was the flash of his whitened teeth.
With a gasp of shock, she darted out of the way, taking to the air and flying to the very top of the enclosure. Suddenly, she was thrown against the wall, and felt her wing crack.
Broken, she thought miserably as she floated to the ground, unable to keep herself in the air. She curled into a ball, accepting her fate.
The snarling beast stepped ever-closer to her, saliva dripping out of its mouth as it growled menacingly.
She sighed, knowing that these would be her last moments as an angel. I've failed my mission. When I die, I'll be stripped of my wings and halo. I'll be a normal wolf, with no special powers or abilities...no purpose in life...
She felt red-hot pain slice through her muzzle, and she backed up involuntarily. "Please, leave me alone!" she yelled in vain at the creature before her. "I won't hurt you! Please, stop attacking me! Back down! Back off!"
The beast suddenly stopped and tilted its head. "Back...off...?" It sat before her and glared in her direction. "As you wish, you pathetic lump of coal."
After a few tense moments of nothing happening, Calgary sighed. "Why did you attack me?"
"You touched me," it snarled once again, turning its back to Calgary. "Leave me alone, freak."
Calgary nodded, laying down in the corner and doing as it stated. If I leave it alone, it might let me live.

For about a week they stayed like this, Calgary attempting to make conversation whenever she could...but to no avail. The feral RPW refused to partake in much conversation, and usually just snapped angrily at her or blamed her for his problems.
One day, the door opened wide. Two scientists darted in, closed the door, and fed the two wolves. One inspected Calgary's wounds and bandaged up her wing. "You'll be fine in no time, sweetheart," he murmured, gently patting her on the head.
She growled and bore her teeth. "Get away from me, you monster," she spat at him, backing away as fast as her legs would carry her. "I don't belong here, and you're the one to blame for my being here in the first place."
He sighed and rubbed his neck. "If you don't let me look at that wound on your nose, sweetheart, I won't be able to fix it."
"So be it, then!" she yelled back, knowing full well that he couldn't understand her.
Suddenly, the other Rainbow Paint Wolf snarled and leapt at the scientist who was feeding him. The RPW killed him with a snap of his jaws.
Calgary's eyes widened in shock. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" she shrieked at him.
He turned to the other scientist and growled.
The scientist bolted for the doors, unlocking them and slipping through.
The RPW flew over quickly, holding open the door just long enough to escape.
Calgary took her chance and trotted through the door before it latched shut behind her. The tile was cold and hard, and she didn't like the smell of all of the other animals cooped up in the facility...but without her wings, she couldn't save any of them.
Calgary followed the flying RPW above her, and watched in horror as he killed and gravely injured every scientist in his way. He eventually got out, Calgary hot on his heels. She watched him fly to the north towards the forests. Calgary waved a paw in his direction. "Goodbye, whoever you are! Thanks for the help!" She then turned and went in the opposite direction towards the only civilization she knew of.

After weeks of traveling on foot, Calgary reached a city of RPWs. Before entering the city limits, she ran into a small RPW. She gasped in shock at the sight of the little one's halo. "You're...you're an angel?"
The grey RPW looked up at her sadly. "Not anymore." She turned and showed her her back.
Calgary gasped in shock. "Your...Your wings...what....what happened to them?"
"I was bad, so they took them away from me."
Calgary's eyes hardened as she stuck her good wing over the little RPW. "Come on. I'm taking you somewhere safe."

They arrived at a small cave, and Calgary made sure that the young RPW went immediately to sleep. "Go to sleep. NOW," she ordered, flicking the base of her tail at the other RPW's nose. "Get your rest," she demanded of the younger girl.
She yawned. "My name's Castle. What's yours?"
"Go to sleep and I'll tell you in the morning." Her eyes narrowed as she glared at the little one. "And that's an order."
She yawned once more, nodded, and fell asleep.
Calgary kept watch all night long, and as she stared out at the rain which started to drizzle, she lost herself in her thoughts. How did I even get here? I wasn't always this on-the-move. I once had a life...a happier, more peaceful life...where I wasn't hunted or thought of as an item to be obtained. What happened to the simpler times, where I could actually trust others? Why can't I trust anyone now? Why am I so easily confused and easily taken advantage of? She sighed, bowing her head and shifting her weight painfully. I wonder when my wing will heal. I mean, I broke it, and they didn't really fix it for me...I wonder if the pup knows how to fix it. I mean, she had wings once, right? Would it be right to ask her to help me with them when she doesn't even have any of her own, though? Perhaps I should find someone else. Yeah, but there aren't many RPWs with wings around these parts...or, at least, I'd think there wouldn't be...I don't really know. "I don't even know where I am," she murmured unhappily.
"You're in the most heavily-populated area for one thousand acres," said a voice from outside the cave.
Calgary stood, throwing her wings out behind her to make herself appear larger. "And who are you?" she testily asked, growling as her ears lay flat against her skull.
"Nightengale. I'm coming in out of the rain," she said, inviting herself into the cave as she shook the water off of her pelt. "I'll be gone in the morning if you're annoyed by my presence."
Calgary was quite mad. "And who do you think you are, just barging in here like this, huh? Get out. Just get out. Get out right now! You didn't even ask to join me!"
"I'm staying until the storm passes. I won't harm you or the child."
"She's not a kid. She's just...small."
Nightengale simply sat and stared at the rain. "What brings you to the city?"
"None of your business." After a pause, she asked the white wolf a question. "What are you doing out in the rain at this hour?"
"None of your business," she shot back, a small smirk on her lips.
"Fine. Be that way. See if I care."
A long silence stretched between the two. Nightengale eventually broke it. "I'll take this watch tonight. You look tired - get some sleep."
Calgary's hard eyes squinted. "Nope. I'm not trusting my life and the life of a companion in the paws of one whom I don't even know."
"We've met before."
"What?!" Calgary exclaimed, confused at this information. "And where, why, and how did we do that?"
The white RPW was silent, staring out at the rain. "I'm here to protect you."
"From WHAT?" Calgary asked, using all of her will power to not roll her eyes. "We're in the middle of nowhere."
"You've met Atreyu. Would you really like him finding the little one back there?"
Calgary was silent for a moment, weighing her options. "Would you say I'm a friend of yours?"
"I'm as much a friend to you as Arzu is."
Calgary sighed, remembering her acquaintance. "Then at the very least, you're trustworthy." She nodded, briefly placing a tail upon the shoulders of the white RPW before heading off to sleep. "Protect us with your life, or lose your own," she warned, sitting down next to the smaller pup.
Nightengale nodded, sitting taller. "You have my word."

The next morning, whimpering woke Calgary up. Her halo flared as her eyes burst open. Scanning the cave, she found no sight of Nightengale or Castle. She raced out, her wing dragging the ground behind her as she looked for the pup. Following the sound of whimpering, she found Castle trying to help two other RPWs. The grey one was flying, refusing to land on the ground. The other white pup was trying to persuade the flying one to land. Castle was the one whimpering. "Please," she said, looking up at the flying RPW, "come down so we can talk to you! I can't yell up there forever!"
Calgary sighed, unhappy that she had to go and deal with quarrels between such young pups. "Break it up, guys. You," she said, staring at the one flying, "give me your name, rank, and age if you'd like to live."
"My name is Astaroth. I'm neither adult nor child - something in between. Rank? Unknown."
"Why do you constantly fly? Isn't it tiring?" Calgary asked, switching into interrogation mode as she stepped defensively in front of Castle.
"I was born without the ability to walk. I cannot stand or move on my own unless I fly."
"Who were your parents?"
"Sephora, an angel, and Zeneka, not an angel. Only I have to pay the price for my parents' mistake of having me."
Calgary frowned. "Land and prove it."
Astaroth landed, wobbly on her paws, and crashed into the ground, spiting out a mouthful of dirt. Her eyes filled with tears as she pitifully looked up at Calgary. "See?"
With narrowed eyes, she lay down beside the pup. "Promise me something, okay?"
"Maybe."
"Will you stand with me against the forces that wish to betray us? Will you stand with me and let me help you as you help me?"
"Of course."
Calgary nodded, a determined glint in her eyes. "Land on my back. I'll take you the rest of the way."
Astaroth did as she was told, landing as gently as she possibly could on the larger RPW's back.
Calgary asked the same question to Castle, who eagerly responded with a hearty, "Well, no duh! Of course I'll help you!" Turning to the new, white pup, Calgary glared him down. "Name, rank, and age, young whippersnapper."
"My name is Festus. I'm a kid, not a 'whippersnapper.' I don't have a rank."
"Would you like to join my army?"
"Army? What are you trying to do, KILL others?" he joked, a smile on his face.
"Would you like to join my band of like-minded individuals?"
"Sure. Why not?"
Calgary smiled as she glanced at her three new companions. "All right, time for rankings. Festus, you're officially dubbed our youngest member. You are to be energetic and keep everyone's spirits up. Bear that title with pride. You, Castle, you are hereby dubbed the chief RPW in charge of anything technological. Judging by the state of those impressive wings, this shouldn't be hard for you. Bear the title with pride. And lastly, Astaroth, you are now dubbed our chief member of sadness. You're in charge of reading others and telling me if anyone is unhappy. Bear the title with pride. Everybody understand what they're supposed to do?"
They all responded unanimously with a resounding, "Yes ma'am!"
Calgary's eyes narrowed in determination. "Then let's go."

I’m dealing with extensive medical issues and some medical testing to try to figure out said issues. If I am scarce on here, that's why.

♪♫ Try to lock me in this cage. I won't just lay me down and die. I will take these broken wings, and watch me burn across the sky! ♫♪
