Lost In a world you dont know. Friends are not to be trusted for shadows lurk at every turn. Shiro and Yumi must fight for the innocent lives in this new cruel world but who will survive? How will this effect the real world? Will these killer shadows win this battle?
chapter 1
Darkness. Darkness is everything. When people picture darkness they think of bad or evil things but darkness is important.. i mean without darkness there woulnt be any light right? I questioned my self this as i sat at my desk tapping my pen to it wooden surface staring at the white sealing." Daydreaming again shiro?" My teacher asked as he slamed his hand on my desk causeing me to jump. I stared up at him " Sorry.." i said rubbing my eyes. He nodded and carried on talking about some unimportant math stuff. I waited for the bell to ring a while till i heard it screech out "RRRRIIINNNGG."i quickly gathered mh books and ran out the door to my locker next thing i knew i was on the bus. I yawned and stared out the window.once i got home my dog jacob a young german shepherd hopped up on me barking with excitement to see me. "Down!" I yelled he quickly sat tilting his head letting his touge roll out his mouth. I smiled and put my stuff down and ran in my room. I looked at my lap top and sighed " nah im so tired.." i muttered to my self. I lied down slowly drifting off. I then had a dream appear in my head. I was in a dark place it was quite creepy... a voice called out and echoed ringing in my ears " shiro wake up!" It called. It was a male voice probably about 14-16 about my age. I then woke up. I stared at my roof just thinking about the dream.. it was an odd one.. j stood up and look in the mirror at my skinny frail body and my boy short red hair. " shiro!" My mom called as i heard the front door open " i got you something!" She yelled. I took one last look in the mirror my eyes look as if they were glowing blue. I shook my head and ran out my room and down the stairs running my hand down the railings as i ran down. " what is it?" I questioned her letting out a large yawn. " here" he said handing me a necklace. It had a silver chain and a blue stone hanging from it. It was quite beautiful... " where did you get it?" I asked staring at her curiously. " oh.. a friend of mine wanted you to have it." She said as she set her purse on the counter. "Oh.." i said oddly. Why did they want me to have it? I asked my self running my hand threw my hair. " uh good night" i said running up stairs. I really didnt even care much anymore.. i put the necklace on and curled up in bed. I looked at my phone a while and started to drift off. Then, there it was again the call of my name but it was stronger and clearer " Shiro?" It said " shiro please!" It cried. Who was this voice coming from ive never heard this males voice before.. " shiro wake up!" It cried. Then i woke up. I was breathing hard. Whats happening? It was so real... i looked at my clock on the night stand next to me. It was 5:00 almost time to go to school.. it lied backed down i could judt hear the voice echoing in my mind. It was creeping me out now. How could it be so real? I almost never have dreams.. but i couldn't see anything. Just hear that terrible cry. Oh well.. better get ready for school.
chapter 2
At lunch that day i sat with my best friends Dakota and Taylor. I told them about my odd dreams and about the necklace. They told me it was just a dream and that i should dye my hair to match my new necklace. After school we went to Dakota's house and dyed my hair white with bright blue running threw it. I loved it. Once i got home it was 10:47 but it was friday so i stayed up and watched tv till 11:53 then climbed in bed and started to drift off. Then the cries started " shiro if you dont wake up ill have to pull the plug..." said the voice.it was still crying but was more of a sad weep. I listen calmly to it " shiro.. please i know your scared but you must awaken.. its lonely here.. please i miss you, you know..." i tried to respawn " who are you?" But nothing came out. I felt like i was in water or something... then thats when i saw itmy necklace was glowing it was drifting around like it was in water or just floating. Then it grew tight around my neck "help" i choked out. It was useless. I couldn't breath. I couldn't move. "Help please!" I yelled. Then i saw a light it was red. Same shape as my necklace but red. " its ok im here" it said. The voicr echoed. " shiro just open your eyes.". I struggled a moment. Then i opened my eyes. It was all a lot to take in you know.. but there he was the source of the sad little voice. " you have awaken!" He said placing his hand oh my necklace.i stared deep in his red eyes. And.. his red necklace.. just like mine. I looked around. I was in a dark place but i managed to see i was in a cave like place i was on the cold stone ground i breathed hard from fear " who are you?" I said looking at the boy. He smiled as a tear ran down his cheek. He had red hair matching his bright red necklace " just a shadow" he whispered. "But you.." he said another tear running down his pale face " you much more.." i felt weak and unable to move. " why cant i move?" I said in fear. " you must be weak. Here" he said handing me a weird black ball like object. " what is this?" I said pushing it away a bit. " a shadow soul.." he said smiling. "Shadow soul?" I asked " this truely is an odd dream.." i said tilting my head. I suddenly felt an odd pain. " ow!" I yelled. The red haired boy looked down " oh sorry i was standing on your tail.." he said moving over a bit. " tail?" I asked a bit loud. I looked down and saw a white long cat like tail attatched to my body. " oh my!" I scrambled in to a corner using all the energy i had. He giggled " your a silly little thing you know that?" He threw the "shadow soul" over to me " eat " he muttered as he stood up. Then i saw then these big black cat ears on his head. I couldnt help but stare. How odd this dream was... i ate the soul it was surprisingly good. But it had an odd texture. It was kind of slimmy.. the red eyed boy then helped me up. " i have something for you." He said opening a chest that had a silver lock on it. He pulled out a dark grey hood and two arm blades. "What are these for?" I said starring at the beauties. " these are yours. I made em for your.. remember?" I was awfully confused. "No." I said as i reached my hand up to touch my own two fluffy ears. " oh.." he said as he put the hood on me. It wrapped around my body and felt as if it was perfect. " i never got your name you know." I said looking at the arm swords. " im yami." He said now putting the arm swords on me. " why do i need this?" I asked lifting my arm with the razor sharp sword strapped on. He steppe back and smiled " perfect." He said smiling. "You need this to hunt." He said now circling me observing my new armour.i stepped back "hunt? Hunt what?" Yami smiled showing his razor sharp teeth " shadows.." he then quickly turned " shadows are evil spirits. They look like you and i but they are not." He grabbed a long sword that had rubys on it. " they cant be trusted." He quickly put on his hood over his body as well. " how do we know if they are shadows?" I asked tapping my foot. " shadows eyes are black." He said squinting his eyes." Dont you remember?". I stared at him " no im completely lost yami." Yami turned and looked over his shoulder at me "shiro. Its ok. It will come to you.." i rubbed my head im sorry i dont remember him. It seems we were close.. suddenly i heard a voice. Oh dear my moms voice? " Shiro. Shiro honey wake up!" Yumi looked around " i can wait." He said then he ran up to me and paused " sorry " he took his fist and swung it across my face.
chapter 3
I then woke up. My mom poking and shakeing my shoulder. " honey its 11:00 can you atleast get up?" She said standing up all the way. I ignored her . I was to mind blown to even respawn. My jaw had a slight pain in it. " what the hell yumi!" J yelled as my mom jumped a bit." Are you ok shiro?" She said tilting her head. "Ugh im fine!" I said standing up. " you just woke me up during a strange dream.." i said starting to walk out my room into my bath room. I looked in the mirror. " no ears.." i said sighing. It was so real.. how could i... ow my jaw! I rubbed my eyes and ran down stairs and saw jacob chewing on my left shoe." Bad dog!" I said pushing him off. I put on my shoes and walked out side. It was like stepping in a puddle with that left shoe. " pupp drewl.." i muttered in anger. " im so comfused.." i said to my self. I must tall taylor and Dakota! Later that day at Taylor's house i told Dakota and Taylor all about yumi, shadows, souls, and my left shoe. They told me it was quite interesting and that i should start writing it all down. So i did. I wrote about yumi and his looks: yumi: a tall slender male. Black ears and tail. He is very pale. He wears a hood and under that normal teenager clothes i guess. His sword is beautiful. Ruby encrusted. His red hair and eyes seen to just glow. And his necklace just like my blue one but red. I wrote about the dark cave like place we were in. And the chest. And the lock. And so on. It was all so exiting to me! It was amazing and so real... i couldn't wait to be there again..
chapter 4
That night i curled up in bed. This necklace grew to be my best friend. I held it tight in my fist. It was driving me insane waiting all day for a short dream. Yet it was special. So i suppose it was worth the wait. " come on. Just fall a sleep!" I said to my self.i felt my self drifting off slowly. " shiro! Get up lazy! Ive waited long enough... please? We can go out if youd like..." i felt a rush and there i was nose to nose with yumi. " get off me!" I said pushing him off me. He landed like a tree face first in the stone ground. " outside?" I said looking at his tail flick in the as for his rum was in the air. " well sure.. today should be safer they last time." I stood up wobbling a bit. " shiro calm down your not used to your feline body." He said getting up. " oh thats what this is.." i said under my breath. " so which way is .. out?" I asked as my tail swung uncontrollably hitting my leg. Yumi looked at me " hm follow me." Tho it was dark you could tell the cave was small. He began to push a large rock. I ran over to help because well hes quite weak.. " is your gear all on?" He asked looking at the ground as he pushed. " uh i guess." I still had my hood and arm swords on. " well get ready to run" he said smirking. " run w-" h then finished opening the hole. It was so beautiful. There were tall tree 10x the size of normal ones back at home. Blue, red, green and black crystals grew tall from the ground. The grass was green but much more beautiful and free flowing. I stared in pure owe. " so why was i supposed to run?" I asked looking at him as he stood with a fearful look on his face. " Them!" He said schreeching and pointing a the distance. I couldn't see anything. " what?" Suddenly something landed on my back. I screamed and fell on the ground rolling. Still unsure whats on my back. I hopped up and looked at who or what was just crushed. " what the..." it was a little girl. Cute and short with blonde hair and ears and tail. She wore a tiny hood that was black like yumi's and a tiny knife. " yumi!" She yelled hopping up she run to him latched on his left leg " hey lilth yumi came out to play!" Suddenly another feline human popped out of the blue. She looked much like the other but with brown hair. " yumi!" She yelled launching to his left leg " yumi lets go hunt shadows, please!!" Cried the blonde one. "Lilith, day off!" He shook his legs furiously. I sat there laughing " so cute " i said smiling. He threw them off and hissed furiously " she devils " he muttered. They both trotted over to me. " whose this... shes here to steal our yumi!" Cried day the blonde one. " lilith in formation!" She meowed. They both twist letting their hoods spin till they seem to look like dark shapes. Suddenly it stopped and one was at my throat with a blade hissing. " uh.. still quite cute.. " i said stepping back. Yumi grabbed the both by the ear " get !" He yelled pulling them away. " ugh fine. Bye yumi!" They yelled walking off into the forest. Yumi sat down and i saf next to him. The sky was colorful. It was simply beautiful.
