The land of Karu-Hy is a mysterious place. Magic and fantasies of your wildest drams come true there. It is a bright and wondrous world. People are happy and friendly, but this world is not without defects. It is sad, but things may not always work out for the good-hearted,
even if they try their best in life.
even if they try their best in life.
Today is Sunday, September 14. The weather is sunny, but cool. A dry Autumn wind blows through the red and golden treetops, scattering brightly colored leaves throughout a round clearing. Paper lanterns are strung up on ropes draped in tree branches. They aren't lit right now, but when the sun sets they will cast the entire clearing in warm light.
The clearing has a small hill in the centre of it, and on that hill, a small shrine. The shrine is made of stone, decorating it is an obsessive amount of candles, they are mostly melted, and wax is dripping off the edges of it and onto the bright grass.
A small brook trickles across one side of the clearing, and an ornate bridge stretches across it, leading to a path of cobblestones covered in leaves. More small shrines line the path, all covered in candles. These don't look like they've been lit in several months, these are only for visitors.
Hidden in the treetops, a small treehouse village, rope bridges connect the houses to each other, they sway slightly in the breeze, but they are safe as can be. The place seems isolated and serene, far away from society, and it is. This is a holy place, a place of strange happenings.

Speaking of strange happenings, something very strange happened today on this fine 14th of September, it came in the form of a new member of this little village. Earlier this day, at 9:14 am exactly, there was a great flash of light, blinding those going about their business in the treetops. When the light faded, a small cat-like creature was laying next to the shrine. It seemed as though the spirits had dropped off a very important new person.
Glaeli, the master of the village immediately rushed down to see if the clild was okay, and was she? Health wise... yes. She was not hurt in any way.
But there was a small problem... The cat seemed to have no memory of what happened to her.
Or no memory at all, actually.

It is now 5:22 pm. The cat, whose name is now Sugar, is couched by the shrine on the hill, exactly where she first appeared, except she now clutches a bottle of ink, and a book filled with blank pages. It is a slow process, but she gradually fills a page with words. She dips her paw in the ink, and, as carefully as possible, writes what she wishes.Entry 1, September 14 wrote:Dear Future Self,
My name is Sugar. I didn't have a name when I first got here. But Glaeli is a nice person and gave me this name, I really like it! She said that I looked like I ate a lot of sugary things before I got here, I'm not sure what to think about that. Am I really that plump?
The reason that Glaeli is making me write this is because if something ever happens to my memory again I'll be able to read this and remember this life! Maybe if I continue to write I'll remember something about my past life.
Glaeli is an angel, she looks like one anyway! She has such beautiful white fur and great feathered wings! She has snake eyes though, that's pretty scary ; w ; She's the most important one in the entire village, and she told everyone that she would look after me from now on!
She showed me around the tree village, she says that this is a place that people come to pray to the spirits, but only on certain holidays. (I guess we won't be getting any visitors anytime soon!) She says that for most of the year we have this place all to ourselves! How awesome is that! I literally ran around on the rope bridges for ten minutes, Glaeli says I won't be able to stop and I'll go flying off and crash on the ground and hurt myself... Well I'll show her!
*Sigh* This place seemed so fun until Glaeli got serious. She told me that I was sent from the spirits or something. I don't really want to be important 0____0 I want to run around in this little village forever. She says that's just because I'm a little kid.
Something strange about my memory: I can remember every thing perfectly from after I got here. Every single detail. But still NOTHING from before. Maybe my memory is trying to fill all the way up again?
Glaeli say's I'm very literate for someone who has no memory. I told her that it was fate that I had to write in this book. She seemed to believe me. I was joking ; w ;
Galaeli has lots of friends, I met some of them, and she told me about some of the others! I'll write about them next time!
Bye for now, it's getting dark,
☀️Sugar
Sugar closes the jar of ink and her book, she stretches, yawns, and begins to make her way back to the treetop houses with her things. She's had a long, eventful day and is ready to go to sleep.

To practice my writing skills I've decided to start a story here on CS. I'm trying to combine "Diary" Stories with Fantasy.
And who else to be the main character than my beloved Sugar?
More info to come!
