Previouscнαρтεя 1The ground was quaking as the two cyborg armies fought against each other. Giant robots roared, spaceships flew, twisting and turning; the gunfire boomed loudly as it wreaked havoc between the once peaceful corporations.
It was easy to tell this battle had been going on for days; old, decaying corpses lay scattered across the wasteland. It had begun one time in the day and raged on through the night, active as ever.
Suddenly, the loud shots ceased; every warrior could see the small points of light coming closer at a rapid pace. It was imminent that these lights, whatever they may be, would crash down on the world.
Now it was clear what they were; the nighttime sky was lit up by hundreds of bright meteorites crashing down to the ground. The dozens of faces that littered the battlefield above their fallen teammates were struck with horror; everyone knew one thing: disaster is coming.
Sure, they had advanced technology, but it still wouldn't be enough to ward off the giant meteorites. They could only sit and watch as they came closer; it was almost certain doom to the entire race.
Panic arose from the crowd as they began to scatter, blindly bumping into each other and mix up. Nobody really thought it was two armies anymore, just a group of crazed people who were running about to hopefully escape. It wasn't until a while later they were stopped in their tracks and paid attention to one person in particular, since that cyborg was calling for the attention of every member.
"Get a hold of yourselves!" His voice boomed; he was using a microphone device. His piercing green eyes looked through the crowd with one smooth sweep, a glare clear upon them.
"Whatever is happening to our world, we can fight against it. We have gone through so much in this place. We have fought against each other, and what for? We only ruined what could have been peace!
"Hear my voice! We shall not be enemies, but instead friends; it will be the strong bond between us which helps us through the most difficult of times! We shall unite as one, and share, and fight against this unknown force. This is our time!"
Shouts of approval came from about half the group. Immediately, everyone faced the area where the meteorites were hitting: oddly, it was only one spot, but it was bright in that area.
Everyone stood their ground, waiting as the bright flashes shone. No one was doing anything, waiting and hoping it was nothing.
Suddenly, a large grumbling came from the particular area, sending fear into the minds of the cyborg folk. It sounded like it came from a really large creature, unknown amongst the people of this world. There was a large cloud of dust which made it hard to see clearly, but the asteroids were going away. The only ones left were very small, about the size of one of the ships.
Finally, the last one fell, sending another puff of dust into the air. The cyborgs inched forward slowly, making sure to stay a good distance away from the site.
The dust cleared up; there was a huge crater with one intact meteor inside it. There was no damage whatsoever on the odd piece.
Suddenly, movement was heard. Something large was moving inside. It was twisting and turning, probably looking for an escape. There was slight banging before all movement stopped, and the warriors looked at each other questioningly.
Then, just after they were coming a little closer, loud cracks were heard as whatever was in there began smashing the protective shell. It cracked all the way through, splitting in half. Another huge cloud of dust shot out and the cyborgs could not see once more.
After a while, it slightly cleared up to reveal two stone giants, following a majestic lady, a guy and a girl on either side of her.
The one, who was assumed to be leader, strolled ahead with magnificent grace as her dress streamed behind her and her golden hair waved. There was confidence in her stride as she headed towards the crowd. The lady stopped, a small grin spreading across her bright red lips.
"What's troubling you?" She asked, to the cyborgs. Amusement lit her eyes and her face was calm.
"Who are you?" A voice rang out, loud and clear; the cyborg crowd parted to reveal a tall cyborg with brown hair and piercing green eyes.
"Oh, me? I'm just here to help you on your crossing to another planet!" Said the lady, laughing slightly.
The cyborg man narrowed his eyes. "What crossing? We're not going anywhere!"
"Oh?" Said the lady, a frown forming on her feminine features. "Then, we'll just have to do this the hard way, won't we?"
"Leave our place!" The cyborg shouted. "Leave, and don't come back!"
"A fight is what you want, huh? Well, you'll get one!" The lady snapped her fingers, and suddenly hundreds of other stone giants appeared with a bright flash. She grinned for a moment, before she spoke. "Attack!"
