Usually daydreaming about various subjects, Becquerel can be quite disinterested in topics that are not of great importance to her. She prefers other people to make decisions based on what would make them happy with themselves.

ѕтυввσяη
Becquerel, despite her sweet, pushover exterior, will defend her opinion or actions until the end. She refuses to be a doormat people walk all over, like some of the other shy kids that get taken advantage of.

qυιєт
Although Bec is a very quiet person, that does not mean she doesn't have a lot of thoughts bouncing around in her head at any point. It makes her very uncomfortable when people talk down to her like she's a child, just because she prefers not to voice her own opinion over what others have to say.

ρσℓιтє
While others can destroy others with their words, Bec has a very hard time trying to forcefully hurt someone with words. She's used to being polite to everyone she meets, and it makes her uncomfortable to think that people can be so mean to someone they just met.

¢ℓυмѕу
Becquerel is a naturally clumsy person. Coupled with the fact that she had a habit of dragging her feet when she walks, this combination can lead to some humorous attempts at re-gaining her balance.

gυℓℓιвℓє
Bec, quite frankly, is a bit gullible. This can be both good and bad. She can be taken advantage of because of this, or it can be used to give her a nice surprise once in a while. She appreciates the people who give her nice surprises, because it shows that they care about her existence.

σвѕєяναηт
The first thing Bec does when entering a room is observe it. She makes mental notes of where things are, so she doesn't have to ask for help if she needs to locate something. This habit has led her to be great at detective games, such as 'Where's Waldo?'

яєѕρє¢тƒυℓ
Becquerel is not one to chafe under rules and authority. She isn't very rebellious, and doesn't have a problem with getting orders to do something. She sees the people who are usually called 'bossy', as someone who's just trying to do their job.

The story of how this shadow came to be is not a happy one.

It started in Paris, France, as all typical love stories start. A young couple, both around the age of fourteen, fell in love by the light of the Eiffel Tower. The young boy and girl waltzed all over the city, visiting candle shops, and eating at a local restaurant before going to sit and tourist watch by the Eiffel Tower. Passerby's fawned over the two youngsters, holding hands and pointing at interesting - looking people who chatted in the sunset's light. The rose - red sky lit up everything around them. It was beautiful.

While the girl shared an anecdote of how she used to watch these sunsets with her mother, the boy fidgeted with something in his pocket. The girl noticed these small actions, and interrupted her story to ask the boy what he was doing. Without looking at her, he drew a rose ring out of his pocket, not able to look the girl in the eyes as he presented it to her. The girl, flushed with happiness, asked him how he ever got such a wonderful thing, while she examined it.

The boy told her how his grandma, who lived with the family, saw how happy they were together. Taking the ring off her very own finger, she told him that he should give it to her. His grandfather had used it to persuade her to go on their first date. The girl, listening to the story, blushed and hugged the boy tightly, thanking him for such a wonderful gift.

That summer, the girl told the boy that her family was moving.

Taking off her ring, she kissed the boy's tear-stained nose, and told him that he could give the ring back to her when she came back to him.

Three day after the girl moved out, the boy overheard his parent's conversation in the kitchen, that the car the girl's family was taking crashed into a river at night, and there was no survivors.

Taking the ring out of his pant's pocket, the young boy threw the rose ring into a canal, out of grief for the girl's death.

When the ring finally came to rest on solid ground, Roanoke popped into existence. He wandered the streets of Paris, before jumping inside a thrift shop's open window. Finding a discarded Becquerel, who was priced at a measly #cdcdcd.99, he made a contract with her, bringing her to life. Bec is extremley grateful to Roanoke for bringing her to life, and absolutely adores him. They've been best friends since the day they met.
