“What should we play?” Aqua asked, quite excitedly as she bounced around the others. Her bright coat matching her excitable and bubbly personality perfectly.
“Let’s play Simon says!” Simon said with a grin.
“No, we play that every time.” Julian moaned, flicking his ears back.
“How about Hide and Seek?!” Aqua asked, a broad smile on her face.
“That’s a great idea Aqua!! Who’s going to seek?” Shawnee asked, glancing around.
“Not me!” Aqua yelled, running off to hide with a sort of a bounce in her step.
“Not me!” Shawnee said after her, running away to hide.
“Not me either!” Simon laughed, running off in the other direction from the other two. That left Julian, who’d be the seeker since he had been slow.
“Ugh, no fair!” Julian exclaimed, smiling as he turned and closed his eyes. “1… 2… 3…” He counted under his breath, fighting the urge to peek.
Simon ran around, trying to find a place to hide. He glanced around wildly, only having a few seconds to find a good hiding spot.
“12… 13… 14… 15.. READY OR NOT HERE I COME!!” Julian yelled.
Simon could hear him coming closer, panicking he climbed up the nearest tree and laid down on a branch. He was surrounded by beautiful flowers in which distracted him for a moment, before he noticed Julian coming up below him and tried to make it to where he couldn't see him.
He watched as Julian looked around below and his heartbeat quickened slightly. Julian’s ears were alert and he ran off towards a pond, Simon soon heard the giggling coming from different places and guessed it was Aqua and Shawnee.
He let out a sigh of relief, laying his head down as he waited to see if Julian could find him. Soon falling asleep and snoring loudly.
“SIMON! SIMON!” Simon awoke with a jerk as he heard someone yelling his name, he looked around wildly, for a moment not remembering where he was. Within seconds he realized he was in a tree, though he lost his grip and slipped off the branch, falling a few feet before he managed to grab onto a branch with his claws.
“Hasn’t anyone told you never to startle someone sleeping in a tree!?” Simon asked as he slowly climbed down to the ground.
“Sorry..” Julian said, smiling as he ran up to him with Aqua coming up behind him. “Though you lost, you snored so load I could’ve found you in the dark.” He laughed.
“Haha, very funny..” Simon said rolling his eyes. “But where’s Shawnee?”
“I don’t know. I thought she was hiding in by the pond but I couldn’t find her.” Julian said, looking confused.
“I was hiding a few feet away from where you were looking in a bush, I was surprised you weren’t able to hear my giggling.” Shawnee said with a laugh as she ran up to them.
“Want to play again?” Aqua asked.
“Sure, but I’m not it!” Simon yelled, running off.
“Niether am I!” Aqua yelled, prancing away in a different direction.
“Nor me!” Shawnee exclaimed, running away to find a good hiding spot.
“Oh here we go again.” Julian moaned.
