Pet's name: Cocoa Puff (f)
Pet's name: Charlie (m)
Cocoa Puff was the school soccer team captian, most popular girl in school, and dating the most popular guy in school, Aaron, who was captain of the football team. Charlie was just your average dog, maybe even a little bit on the loser side, with a common name and (at least Charlie thought) a common face. He didn't play any sports even though he was tall and muscular, and he always worked alone, sat alone, and ate alone, and no one bothered to ask him to sit with them because he was just, in their view, the average loser in this high school of a thousand dogs. However, one day, while he was sitting alone, doing his homework by himself, Aaron and Cocoa Puff walked by, and Aaron, being the nice guy he was, noticed Charlie and came over to talk to him.
"Dude, why are ya sittin' alone?" Aaron asked.
"'Cause I don't have any friends," Charlie responded, still focused on his math problem.
"Whoa dude, that stuff you're doin' looks pretty dang hard. You must be like, supersmart or somethin' bro."
"Well thanks Aaron Marshall, most popular guy in school, as well as football captain and quarterback."
"How do ya know my name? By the way, what's yours?"
"It's Charlie, and I know most of the people in this school, even though they don't know me," Charlie said, looking up for the first time.
Aaron was astonished to see Charlie had incredible golden eyes, which Aaron had never seen before.
"Bro, your eyes, they're golden like a wolf's, not brown," he blurted out.
"I know, and they're on of the reasons I don't have any friends. Everyone's so afraid that I might turn on them and attack them if they get anywhere close to me 'cause I'm one-eigth wolf."
"You're one-eigth wolf?" Cocoa Puff said incredulously.
"Yeah," Charlie muttered glumly. "I know what's coming next. You're going to run away screaming 'Wolf!' and then all of your friends will come over here and scare me away and call me 'weird' and 'monster' and 'a filthy mongrel.'"
"I would never do that!" Cocoa Puff answered furiously. "I can't believe people have done that to you before. After all, just because you're one-eigth wolf, or different, doesn't mean you're bad. It just means you're unique."
"Well thanks, but unless you can convince everybody else in this school of that, I'm still going to get ran away from and called names."
"Well bro, we might be able to. I don't mean to brag or anythin', but Cocoa Puff and I are the most popular dogs in school, so people listen to us. If we told everyone we could think of, we might actually be able to help," Aaron said.
"You really think so?" Charlie's golden eyes were even brighter with hope.
"I know so," Cocoa Puff said firmly.
"Well thanks. I would seriously owe both of you if you could stop from torturing me. I just don't know if I could repay you."
Charlie looked down at his math again.
"I know of a way you can repay me Charlie," Aaron said. "There's football midseason tryouts next week and I want you to go and give it a shot. We need an extra runningback and defensive lineman, and I think ya have a shot at makin' it bro."
"But I've never played football before in my life," Charlie protested. "And besides, I don't see how this is repaying you."
"Well, you seem like a big, strong, and, more importantly, smart, guy. We have plenty a' big n' strong guys, but we don't have enough smart guys, n' so we could really use ya. If ya want me to help ya learn how to catch n' throw, we can practice after school on the football field."
"I'll be there," Charlie responded.
"And to repay me, Charlie, you have to make the football team," Cocoa Puff told him, smiling.
"Okay Cocoa Puff Reynolds," Charlie responded.
After they had left, Charlie thought to himself, "Dang, they're nice, and dang, Cocoa Puff's pretty."
For the next week, Charlie and Aaron worked furiously on Charlie's football skills. According to Aaron, Charlie had lots of natural talent, so helping him really wasn't that hard.
When it came to tryout time, Charliemade the team easily. Cocoa Puff was very impressed, and insisted Charlie and Aaron get her a ticket to the first game they'd be playing together. All the while, Cocoa Puff thought,"I knew Charlie could do it, especially if Aaron helped him. Charlie actually is very handsome and tall and strong and is very, very smart. In fact, I wouldn't mind dating him." At this point, her logical self would kick in and she would remind herself,"You have a boyfriend who is a really good guy, you have a boyfriend who is a really good guy."
But still, her mind would always wander back to Charlie with his golden eyes, white teeth and fluffy, messy brown hair.
Meanwhile, Charlie would be thinking, "Dang, Cocoa Puff's pretty. I really, really, really want to date her."
Then he would come back to reality and tell himself,"She has a boyfriend, she has a boyfriend."
As the weeks went by, Charlie and Cocoa Puff became closer and closer. Sometimes they would even see each other without Aaron being there.
And then, one fateful day, Cocoa Puff made up her mind between Charlie and Aaron.
As she walked to school with Aaron, she said,"Aaron, I have something to tell you."
"I think I already know," he replied, looing over at her." You wanna break up 'cause you like someone else."
"How'd you know?" she asked, amazed he had guessed so accurately.
"You would always turn me down when I wanted to take you out for a date. With each week we drifted farther and farther apart. And ya know what, it's fine with me. I don't think we ever dated 'cause we truly liked each other, we dated 'cause everyone told us we were the perfect couple, that we would stay together forever. I think society pushed us together, rather than ourselves. My only question is: who? I just want to know if he'll be good to you," Aaron told her.
"Charlie," Cocoa Puff responded.
"Well he's a lucky guy, and I know he'll be good to ya."
"So I guess this is it. We're officially through Aaron."
"Yeah, ya know, I feel like a weight's been lifted off a' me, 'cause now we can do whatever we want. Go out and find your wolf Cocoa Puff."
At that, she took off sprinting towards the form of Charlie just about the enter the school doors.
As he heard the footsteps coming up behind him, Charlie spun around just in time to catch Cocoa Puff and be given a nice, big kiss in front of everyone else in school.
"Whoa, whoa. What was that for?" he asked Cocoa Puff, looking down at her.
"Aaron and I are through as of a couple seconds ago, so now I want to date you," she told Charlie, giggling at the look on his face.
"So what do you say? Will you, Charlie Sanders, runningback and defensive lineman, date me, Cocoa Puff Reynolds, forward on the soccer team?"
"Yes." She kissed him again, then they walked through the door together.
"So why did you and Aaron break up? I thought you were like, perfect for each other."
"Well, I like another guy," Cocoa Puff smiled at him,"and Aaron could tell, and he was fine with breaking up, so we did."
"Ok. So do you want to meet at Sonic after football and soccer practices end? It would be like our first date." Charlie looked over at her.
"I'd love to Charlie," Cocoa Puff said, beaming at him.
For Cocoa Puff and Charlie, it was just the begining.
After graduating high school at the top of their respective classes, they both went to the same college so they could stay together, because by this time they were very much in love.
And exactly 5 years to the day after their last date, Charlie asked Cocoa Puff,"Will you marry me?"
Of course, Cocoa Puff said yes, and both lived the rest of their lives so much in love with each other that their reality was like a fantasy.

Pet's name: Tommy Lightning (m)
Pet's name: Amanda (f)
Tommy Lightning was born to very powerful, respected parents who lead a pack of warrior wolves with special powers. Amanda was born to the omegas of distant pack that was also mostly made of warrior wolves, who were enemies of Tommy's pack. How they met and fell in love is so strange I'm not even sure they understand.
As omegas, Amanda's parents did fairly well for themselves, eventually moving up to be subordinates. Amanda, however, was rejected by the time she was 3 because of her strange markings and powers, and could never move up the rings of pack society. But she was fine with that, as she was, and had always been, carefree and happy-go-lucky. Amanda didn't care what her rank was as long as she was alive and happy. But one day, the annual mating day came, the time when all unmated wolves of age would decide who was to be their mate. It was expected that all alphas mate alphas, betas mate betas, and so on, so Amanda was expected to mate the one male unmated omega. His name was Al, and the reason that he was unmated at 8 years old was that he was so brutal towards females no girl wolf wanted to be within 100 yards of him. Amanda's parents begged to the alphas to let her move up to subordinate so Amanda wouldn't have to mate Al, but the alphas refused. When Amanda found out who she was expected to mate, she turned towards the forest and ran as fast as she could. Al attempted to run after, but she was much too fast for him.
Tommy Lightning's parents had always been, and would be until they died, alphas of the neighboring pack. As a result, Tommy grew up in the lap of luxury, always having a meal, getting the best training possible, basically getting whatever he wanted, but he didn't act spoiled. In fact, he was one of the nicest, selfless wolves in the pack. In his pack's eyes, the only problem with Tommy was that he didn't seem to have any special powers. Almost everyone in the pack did except for him, and so many wolves called that he should be demoted because of his lack of power. however, his parents commanded that he would stay at the top, and since no one crossed them, it stayed that way. But one day, Tommy's pack had their annual mating day, and as an alpha, he was expected to mate Priscilla, the only other unmated alpha. Priscilla was so stuck up and selfish that everyone disliked her, but since she had lots of special powers, no one dared to stand up to her behavior. When Tommy found out he would have to mate Priscilla, he turned towards the forest and ran as fast as he could.
After running for about 5 minutes, Tommy and Amanda both literally ran into another wolf - each other. "Whoa, sorry about that, " a breathless Tommy told an equally breathless Amanda.
"No problem," Amanda panted, her breaths slowing enough to talk normally. "So what are you running from?"
"A potential mate," he replied. Meanwhile, Tommy was looking Amanda over and thinking, "Dang, she's pretty."
"Really? Me too. By the way, my name's Amanda of the Warriors of the Rockies pack."
"Well nice to meet you Amanda. My name's Tommy Lightning of the Destroyers of the Mountains pack."
''Nice to meet you too Tommy. Aren't our packs supposed to be enemies?'
"Yeah, but we don't have to be. I'd be under even more fire if I was found talking with a Warrior 'cause my parents are the alphas, but oh well." Tommy just shrugged his shoulders and sat down.
"You're the son of the alphas of the Destroyers? Wow, this the first time I've ever talked face to face to an alpha, since I'm an omega and can't move up. But Tommy,if you're an alpha, why are you running from a potential mate? She can't be that bad, can she?" Amanda asked.
"Trust me Amanda, she is,'' Tommy confirmed.
"Oh ouch, no offense or anything, but if the alpha of your pack is that bad, I don't wanna see your omegas." Amanda said.
"Priscilla's the only bad one. The rest of us, I would like to think, are pretty nice wolves. By the way, why are you an omega and can't move up? I can understand if it's a birthright thing, but a wolf like yourself should be able to move up easy." Tommy truly was stumped why Amanda couldn't move up. She didn't seem bad enough to do some crime, and she certainly was very likable and smart.
"Well, the rest of my pack fears me because of my strange markings and my strange powers. My parents always told me this story that we were actually descended from the great wolfdragon Min herself, but I always thought it was just a story. Now that I know what I can do, I'm not so sure." They sat in silence for awhile until Tommy got brave enough to ask, "What can you do? Sorry if I'm being too nosy, but I'm just curious."
"Well, I can cause lunar eclipses, control the tides, control gravity and change the phases of the moon."
"Wow. In my pack you would be extremely powerful. Most of my pack is like that, although not as powerful as you described, except for me. I can't do anything like that, and I'm supposed to be the next alpha." Tommy was shocked and a little bit jealous that a stranger he barely knew from another pack could do what he could not.
"You know, my parents told me once that some wolves grow into their powers. They said that if a wolf will get any powers, the powers will be evident by the wolf's 4th birthday." Amanda knew Tommy sounded jealous, so she tried to get hopes up.
"Really? My 4th birthday's tomorrow at 12 am sharp."
''Well, meet me back here at 12 in the night and we'll see if you have any powers," Amanda said, though actually doubting somewhat Tommy would have any.
"That sounds good," Tommy agreed. "So see you in a few hours Amanda."
"See you Tommy!" Amanda called over her shoulder as she ran back in the direction of her pack. As she ran, Amanda thought, "I wish the alphas in my pack were that nice."
In a few hours, both Amanda and Tommy were back in the very same spot.
"In 5 minutes you will become 4, right Tommy?"
"Yeah, and how'd you know the exact time?"
"The moon always knows the time." That comment let Tommy's imagination run wild, but he tactfully didn't say anything.
"Ok, so my parents told me that a wolf's powers are generally brought out by a ver strong emotion, like love, hate, fear, rage, and so on," Amanda told Tommy. "So at 12 am sharp, we need to get you feeling a very strong emotion."
"Ok, sounds easy enough," Tommy said. In his head, he was thinking, "How am I going to get in a rage when Amanda's around?"
''So now we wait for 5 minutes." Amanda and Tommy then both fell silent, thinking about what might happen if Tommy had powers and they manifested themselves.
"It's time." Amanda rose up, and Tommy stood with her.
"So which emotion do you think would be easiest to feel quickly?" Amanda asked.
"Well, I don't get angry that easy, and I'm really not afraid of much," Tommy responded.
"What about love?"
"Well, I don't know." However, in his head, Tommy's conscience was saying, "Tommy, you love her! Just get yourself all romantic and let the powers come out!"
"I think that would be easiest," Tommy said, feeling more confident.
"Good. So now think of someone you really love really hard and think of how you get every time you're around them," Amanda instructed.
"Ok." Tommy focused extremely hard on the wolf in front of him and the sense of attraction he got whenever he was around her. He soon felt a surge of power sweep through his hair, and a sort of freeness, as though a barrier had been taken down. Around him, he heard lightning crackling, and thunder booming, and suddenly he realized
he was causing that.
"Tommy, I think your power is your last name: Lightning," Amanda said, sounding a little frightened.
"Wow. I can't believe I'm causing all of this," Tommy murmured, gesturing to the raging storm above them. "My parents will be very pleased. I think I'm more powerful than even Priscilla."
"Well, we should probably getting going back to our packs Tommy."
"Yeah. I owe you so much Amanda. How can I ever repay you?"
"Don't mention it. I'm happy you found your power."
Just as they were about to leave, Tommy said, "I need to tell you something Amanda."
"What?"
"I , well I, I really like you, in more than just a friend way."
"Really? You, Tommy Lightning, soon-to-be-alpha of the Destroyers of the Mountains and the most powerful wolf I have ever met, is in love with me, Amanda, reject of the Warriors of the Rockies/"
"Really," Tommy replied earnestly. "I liked you from the first time I saw you 6 hours ago and, right after I met you, knew I could never have anyone else."
"Wow. Because you know Tommy, I felt the same way."
"Well, the only problem now Amanda is our packs are mortal enemies and in their eyes we should have ripped each other's throats out."
"Yeah, and for my pack it's mating day today, and I'm supposed to mate this vicious jerk Al who treats females like we're slaves."
"Oh wow. He makes Priscilla look almost nice, and I'm supposed to mate her later today too."
"Well, what do you think we should do Tommy?" Amanda asked.
"Are you alright with leaving your pack Amanda?'' Tommy asked. "'Cause if you are, you could come and live with me, in my pack, and we could say your and alpha from another pack who wants to mate me, and then we could avoid mating the wolves we don't want to."
"I would miss my parents pretty badly, but I haven't seen them in almost a year now, so that's fine with me. This plan could actually work Tommy, and then we could be together!" Amanda cried.
"Well to my pack we go Amanda," Tommy told her, and they ran together, Amanda never looking back towards the pack she was leaving behind.
A few months later, Amanda and Tommy were one happy couple, with Amanda expecting a litter in about another month and Tommy currently the most powerful wolf in the pack besides Amanda. Tommy's parents were thrilled about having Amanda as a daughter-in-law and about not having Priscilla as their daughter-in-law. In fact, the only person not happy about them being a couple in the whole pack was Priscilla, because she had been hoping to become primary alpha someday. Both Tommy and Amanda were very happy with each other, Amanda because Tommy was hers, and Tommy because Amanda was his.
