Floc #17 Tryout - Black 'n' White

Postby Xhat » Mon May 05, 2014 1:36 pm

I had blinked, ears twitching and searching for any kind of sound. Nothingness practically echoed
off the walls, and a short breath escaped my jaws. The world around me appeared... black and
white. Or in other words, I was color-blind and my eyes could not detect any sort of color. So, my
world has always been one of black and white.

Letting out another breath in the form of a sigh, I decided to get to my paws and search around
a bit. Don't get me wrong, I could see perfectly fine, and had no trouble getting around. Humming
a small tune inside of my head, I started out the doorframe and into the hall.

I believe I haven't told you my name yet. I'm Sir Tuxedo Monochromatic, but you can call me
Tuxedo. The whole name can be a bit of a tongue-twister. Any who, I was now padding down
a carpeted hall. The fuzzy fabric felt quite nice of my paw-pads, but the feeling was quick to
disappear once I entered a sort of regal living room.

Well... it used to be regal. The grand chandelier still hung from the ceiling by chains, but
nowadays it seemed to barely be holding. The two or three couches and loveseats littered
around the room were ripped, with stuffing leaking out of the holes. Closing my eyes in
contempt, I leaped up onto one of the loveseats.Although the place seemed to be falling
    apart, it was my home.

A home of Black 'n' White.

Re: Floc #17 Tryout - Tasting

Postby Xhat » Mon May 05, 2014 1:45 pm

Huffing, a small grey and black Floc puffed out his cheeks. The only response that
he got from his actions was a small giggle from right in front of him. The little Floc
is known as Sir Tuxedo Monochromatic, or Tuxedo for short. Squeaking, the creature
was surprised when he found hands snaking around his mid-section.

Tuxedo huffed inaudibly, tilting his head up to look at the person who had picked him
up. It was none other than his key-holder; Xhat. Thank goodness that is wasn't a
strange human, attempting to steal him away or something. The female holding him
tossed the Floc a small smile before started off at a slow walk.

The duo continued on a dull grey sidewalk, the human seeming to have zoned out
long ago. She shook her head, snapping out of whatever daze she had been in. Xhat
started grinning like a fool, and gently set Tuxedo down. The floc looked happy to
be back on the ground, but was soon floating in the air next to his key-holder.

"C'mon Tux!" the female cried, giggling and darting forward. Tux tilted his head to
the side, confused as to what she was excited about. Nevertheless, the grey floc
floated right behind the ecstatic human.

Xhat was currently grinning, holding out a pale pink block to Sir Tuxedo. Blinking
his beady, black eyes, the male knew that it was food. But why his key-holder
wanted him to taste it was a mystery. Rasping his tongue over it, a bitter taste
filled his mouth, and the floc shook his head side to side. 'That tasted gross!'
he thought, fire flaring around his neck for a slight moment.

Now his key-holder was holding out a pure white block. It was much smaller than
the other one, but Tuxedo was still going to be cautious. He floated forward in a
tempted fashion. Sniffing the substance, it didn't seem to smell bitter like the
previous one. So, the monochromatic creature rasped his tongue over it.

Goodness, that cube was sweet. It wasn't too sweet, so it was just good enough
for Tuxedo to take a liking to it. He knew he probably didn't need to eat them for
nutrition, but the taste was absolutely fantastic.

"Guess you like Sugar Cubes better than a Salt Lick~" Xhat chimed, ruffling the
    floc's head fur.
