The story is based off the song Angel of Darkness by Alex C. ft. Yasmin K.
This story was all written by me, do not steal. Enjoy reading.
- Never once did it occur to me that I would be laying here. Laying on the cold, cracked ground, with a dagger protruding through my stomach. Warm blood stained my clothes, and more seemed to just pour out of the wound. Jolts of pain surged through my entire body, and I squirm around, trying my best to fight it. Trying my best to survive.
So this is what death is like. Painful, and unforgiving. I would have thought is as calming, and some what soothing. Or I would have thought that forty eight hours ago, before this all happened. Before we all decided to fight. To fight this higher being. But of course, we were all to weak. To weak to move.
I gaze out to the others. The others who had decided to fight beside me. To fight for our freedom, to fight for our survival. But we were foolish, for now we all are going to die. Bodies, lay limp around me, each soaked in the red liquid. Each unrecognizable, for there faces had been torn off. That is when I begin to worry, will I be next? Will I turn into one of them, the unrecognizable? Or will I bleed out before he can torture me any further. No, I will not die, I will not let him hurt me any longer. I must fight. I must win, for I am a Human, and we Humans don't give up to easily.

"Amber, lets just get the damn things and go." sighed the agitated man next to me. His hand rubbed the temples, and then quickly smoothing back his sleek brown hair. Stubble covered his chin, and cheeks. A sign of needing a shave. But of course, there was no time for that.
"Hold your horses Aiden. Its going to take a little longer than a few minutes to get these things." I growl as I reach up for the door handle. "We need to make sure none of 'them' are in there." My hand twitches as I twist the knob and open a small crack in the door. My eyes peer through the hole as I glance around the small shop we were about to enter. There was no movement form inside, a good sign. But, our eyes can be deceiving.
"Hand me the dog meat." I instructed as my hand flies next to Aiden. He began to grumble and pulled out a small slab of meat and placed it in my hand. A soon as the slimy meat touched my hand, I through it through the crack of the door and waited. Silence fill the store, and then the sound of scuttling. I held my breath as I watched two humanoid creatures appear from the dark and lunge at the meat. Both of their sharp teeth barred, and began to rip the meat to shreds. But once they had finished the slab, they lok up, straight through the crack and at me. Their faces had been torn off, only leaving their mouth.
I jump and close the door. Quickly I turn to Aiden. "There's two of 'them'." I sigh shaking my head. "But, nothing we can't handle."
Aiden flashed a toothy grin and reached out for the only weapon we had with us at the time. It was a small dagger, no bigger than the size of your hand.
"You idiot, I told you to bring the revolver." I hiss as I look down at the puny knife.
"What? This is my lucky knife! It saved my life you know." he responded with a smirk.
"Great, now were screwed. Do you really think that think is going to kill off both of those things?" I open the door just a crack to be jumped at by one of 'them.' He knocked me over and I hit the ground with a loud thud. A warm feeling trickled down my neck, causing the thing to go mad. He attempted to claw the living daylights out of me, but I manage to push him off and crawl away. A sudden shrill scream echoed through the area and I glance back to see Aiden stabbing the creature with the knife. When I turned away to get up, I was yet again knocked over by the second one. His teeth sunk into my neck, which made me the one to scream. Blood spilled over me, and I tried to push this one off as well. But he wouldn't budge. He wouldn't get off of me.
"Aiden!" I scream as I tried to get his attention away from the creature he was currently after. But the creature wouldn't die, so he continued on.
I then glance around, looking for anything to be able to get him off of me. That is when I saw it. A rock that laid no more than three feet away from me. If i could just reach it, I might be able to smash it over his head. Quickly, my hand extended towards the rock. My finger tips grazed the end of it lightly, it was to far.
"Aiden, help!" I scream once more as I try to reach for the rock. As soon as my finger tips grazed the rock again, I felt a weight lifted off me. I peer up to find the creature gone, and Aiden over me, protecting me. His shirt was stained with green, and red blood. I watch him silently kill off the other creature before kneeling down to me. He placed a hand gently on my neck, trying to stop the blood flow.
"Amber, its okay. Everything is going to be okay." he whispered gently as he picked me up. "I'm going to take you back and have James look at you."
All I could do was give him a small nod of my head. My vision began to fail, and straight lines became wavy, blurry ones. Then my lights went out.

"Amber, Amber do you hear us?" called a voice from beyond. I could hear the distress it was in. Slowly I began to open my eyes, revealing the tinted baby blue coloring. Blinding lights filtered through, causing me to squint as I looked around. Ever so slowly was I able to make out figures. Tall people that is.
"Good god Amber, scaring us like that." hissed a males voice that I instantly recognized as my friend Aiden's.
"Aiden, calm down. You both have the blame in this one." called out another voice.
I strain to sit up, and slowly looked around. Still, the light was blinding, and made my eyes ache. But I could finally make out details. Aiden was soaked in blood, guessing my own. And the other guy had a lot of blood as well on his hands. His face was stern, but his eyes soft and warm.
"So, your still in the doctoring business James?" I ask the him with a tease. But as I spoke, my neck began to cramp up. My hand slid over to feel the soft cotton fabric around it.
"Yup, and I'm glad I am. You would be dead missy." he chuckled as he turned away from me to move over to a small pail that was filled with water. There he dipped his hands in and began washing them lightly.
"So I just survived a attack...from one of them....never thought that would actually happen to me." I sigh as I began to stand on my own feet.
"I need you to rest up Amber...oh...and doctors orders is that you stay here for the night."
My eyes went wide as I looked up at James.
"No! I am needed tonight!" I exclaim. "Tonight we kill him! Tonight we human gain back our power. I am going to help, and there is nothing you can do to stop me!"
I watch as I see his shoulders move up, and back down slowly. He let out a sigh, and grabbed something off a table. Slowly he walked back over to me. That is when a prick surged up my arm.
"I didn't wish to do this...but I guess it must be done." he sighed as he injected fluid into my arm.
"What are you doing?!" I ask pulling away. "I-is that a..."
"A drug, yes. You will be asleep in the next thirty minutes or so."
My jaw clenched up once I realized he had done it. He had drugged me so that I will not join the upcoming fight. This time I lash out and began to throw my fists. A few punches hit him, but quickly I was restrained by strong arms. Aiden had pulled me back to the gurney I was on, and pushed me down. He mumbled a few curses as I began to kick at him, but still he held me. Over the next ten minutes it was like this. Then slowly I felt myself weaken, my desperate measures of escape began to soften. I was exhausted, and I closed my eyes. The drug was doing its job, and soon I felt my world go black once more.

As I drift back into the real world, I began to notice things. One, the room was pitch black and I could see absolutely nothing, two, my neck was in so much pain that I felt sick, and three, it was quite. Not a sound echoed through the room, or even the halls outside.
There all at the fight. I think to myself. All but me...that damn doctor.
I began to sit up and get off the table. My lower lip felt like crap, which was a clear sign of me biting it in my sleep. My feet shake as I walk on the cold tile floors. My hands were out, searching for the walls in the dark, looking for any sign of them. Once the palms of my hands bumped up against one of the many walls, I began to search for a switch. But I found none.
After another ten minutes of searching for any light switches, I found one. Quickly I flipped it on and was once again blinded by light. I slide over to the near door and slipped out. I need to find the others, I need to join the fight. No matter the cost, and no matter the risk. I have to get to them. Maybe...maybe I will be able to help them.

Suddenly, memories jolted through my mind. Memories of him...the angel who had started this all. He had caused the others to turn into one of them. He had stabbed the dagger in me. And now he was going to turn me into one...into one of them.
I begin to crawl, clutching my stomach the entire time. My hands smeared blood over the concrete around me. I was crawling over to a corner, where I would be able to stand up. Where I will be able to face him.
Once I have reached it, I begin to push myself up. Pain surged once more through out me, and I clutched at the knife. Slowly, I begin to pull it out. Every inch it moved gave me a sickening pain. It took all the strength I had not to throw up. Blood spilled out over my hands. But I managed.
Once it was out, I gripped it tight and looked around.
"You coward! Why don't you finish what you started! I am the last! Kill me!" I scream out in the thin air. But nothing responded. "I know your here. I sense it. You would never leave behind a meal!" my voice seemed to echo around the area I was at. But nothing more. Then a sound of fluttering wings from a distance came into view. Right then and there I knew it was him. The angel who had started this all.
Slowly I hid go into my own stance, ready to fight to the death.
"You puny one...thinking you can fight me." laughed the angel once he came into my view.
This only made me smirk as I take a step up.
"Yes, coward, and I will succeed." I hiss.
"Weakling, you are dying...how do you suppose to kill me if your already dead?" he had finally landed near me...this was my chance. And I knew I was going to have to risk it all.
I begin to run over to him as he pulled out another dagger. Once I made it near him he pierced his dagger into my side, but then drew back quickly. My own dagger had been in lodged into his heart. A perfect shot. He stumbled backwards, his eyes wide. Blood soaked his shirt and he pulled out the dagger.
"This...can't be." he whispered before falling over...dead.
That is when I collapse. I had done it. I had succeeded in killing the thing that killed us all. I could feel it in my bones that I was the last. The last of our kind. The last of the humans. I close my eyes for the last time and let out a sigh. Finally it was all over. Finally I was going to be at peace. And finally it was the end.
Well that is the end of the end. I do hope you enjoyed it. This is my entry thread, but be more and welcome to post comments, and if you want, even rate my writing. Thanks for reading.
