Hello there! I'm Abbie, and today I have one of my poems for you. It's... I don't know what it is, really. I was just thinking of the kids in those horrible shootings and... Anyway, this isn't about me. I promise you I'm not suicidal. Just... tell me what you think. I'm not really sure right now. This just came on a whim, I didn't mean to write it, but this is all thanks to Rose's wonderful contest entry, Fourteen. It really made me want to write something amazing, even though I was actually writing something totally different but this came out. So, thanks Rose, and make sure to buy her book when it comes out!

By the way, this is actually read like a song in my head, with my voice, but you don't know how my voice sounds so just think about it in any way you want to. I hope you enjoy.

Crimson, crimson raindrops, falling from the sky…

If you saw what I do see,
you'd want to ask them why.

Crimson, crimson raindrops, falling from the sky…

      Why do they follow me?
I want to ask them why.

From where do these raindrops come?
And why won't they tell me?

Crimson, crimson raindrops, falling from the sky…

      I am falling with them,
      and I don't know why.

Little, little birdies, soar high above,
I wish I could be one, flying near the sun.

Oh why can't I be one,
      free of this world?

      A world of guns, insanity,
a world filled with us sinful ones.

Crimson, crimson raindrops, dripping from a hole…

Little crimson raindrops, I don't even know.

      Oh, crimson raindrops,
      Oh… crimson raindrops…

      Crimson… crimson… raindrops…
      falling… from… me.

It sounds like it would work better as a song... Not that that's a bad thing! ;) And I think the idea of crimson raindrops is really cool!

[It's kind of weird, especially for a little kid, but I once had a dream when I was in preschool that on the playground, this kid had gotten hurt, and when I looked at him, he was crying blood. Totally normal for a 3-4 year old. o-o ]

Oh my gosh that's creepy. Once one of my teeth turned blue in preschool... I looked into it and it seems that it's a fairly normal occurrence.

But thank you for replying! I also think that it would work better as a song. I've been humming it to myself while I walk around the house but I'm scared to sing it in case someone thinks I'm depressed/suicidal or something xD
