Hi everybody! So I've decided to do this little contest. It's called a lyrical contest.
Why? Because what you need to write are a set of lyrics. I will give seven subjects
for you to pick from, and you must write your song revolving around one of those
meanings. Trust me, you'll find they'll be what you may have already wanted to do
already. The words do not have to rhyme. They really don't. Most of the music I
write doesn't rhyme, so seriously, its fine! However, you can still make it rhyme
if you would like. Since I know everyone has different prizes they would like, I've
decided to let the winner decide they're prize. Here are the choices for the winner;
* http://www.chickensmoothie.com/viewpet.php?id=6990637 << This darling
* A roleplaying set-up form that I promise, will make you look Semi-Lit
* A review on one of your books + And pet from my 'Uncommon' tab
* If you have Wattpad, a vote on your story, a comment, and a follow
* A book cover + A banner + one of my own written poems for you to own
I would very much appreciate it if you would comment to let me know if you plan on
joining this or not. Even if your not entirely sure, please do comment so I don't end
up closing it down because no one is joining. If you do comment saying you will, it
really doesn't mean you have to. Don't worry. Also, I will give a list of tips for you
just so you know how to make me actually like your lyrics, and not hate it.
The Seven Subjects are:
* Someone who has just lost their loved one, either break up or death, and expresses
their sorrow through these lyrics. This may have just been a friendship where they
lost each other. This is basically just losing someone.
* Being madly in love, and knowing you want to be with this person for the rest of
your life. You love them, and they love you. The lyrics may show a sign of bumps in
the road, but the outcome is love, and happy love.
* A relationship that has problems in it, and so many bumps in the road that they
are desperately trying to be solved. A good example would be 'Love the Way You
Lie' by Rihannah, feat. Eminem. It's the struggles through love, whether it be abuse,
cheating, fighting, disagreements, etc. It demonstrates the struggles.
* This is the song where some just poor their heart out. These lyrics demonstrate how
someone is feeling inside, and how much pain they really have, and what causes the
pain. Bullying is often used, and self-harm, and depression. These lyrics are about
pain.
* This is about moving on, not only for relationships, but in life. Opening up to new
things, and finding out who you really are. What you were made for. What point you
serve in this world. A few good examples are 'Ride' by Lana Del Rey and possibly even
'Dreams' by Shania from The Next Star. This song often has a happy vibe, but not
crucial.
* This song is about mistakes, and all the mistakes we believe we have made in our life
time. It's about wishing we could go back and change the past, but we can't because it's
all history. It's all gone. May be about a relationship, and the mistakes made in them,
however most songs focus on mistakes made by one individual. A GREAT example would
be 'Impossible' by Chantel.
* A motivational song, where one encourages another. Encouragement to be who they truly
are, or maybe even to go for it in a relationship. Or maybe even to just open up. A good
example would be 'True Colors' by Cyndi Lauper.
Tips/Advice:
* Don't use many 'yeah''s or oh's. I do enjoy it in a song, but in just lyrics on here, I don't
really take the writer that seriously. However, you may use one every now and then.
* Use the proper format!
