"Scewtaleuuuuuuuu! Skewt-skewtaleuuuuuu!" Apple Bloom's country voice rang through the forest as the small filly looked for her. Where could her friend be? She turned to Sweetie Belle at her side, who she had already found.
"Sweetie Belle, can you help me look for her?" She asked. The white filly nodded, green eyes glimmering as she trotted off to find Scootaloo. Apple Bloom followed. After a few minutes, they found Scootaloo sitting behind a tree with her tail laid across her hooves. Her two other fellow Cutie Mark Crusaders blinked in curiosity and walked over to Scootaloo.
"Scoot, what's wrong?" They asked in unison, which made Scootaloo jump about five feet in the air. She flapped her wings furiously and dropped to the ground again. She gave an exasperated sigh and blinked away what she was hiding in her eyes, then looked back at them with a smile.
"Nothing! I'm just the best hider in all of Equestria!" She had exclaimed, smirking. The three friends laughed and scampered off back towards Ponyville.
From the corner of Scootaloo's eyes, she watched the rainbow trail of Rainbow Dash zip through the sky. The wind harshly whistled in her ears and a loud boom was heard. Rainbow Dash had achieved another Sonic Rainboom! Scampering away from her friends, Scootaloo bounced towards Rainbow Dash, who was brohoofing Applejack and Fluttershy.
"Wow, Rainbow, that was great!" Applejack spoke, proud of her friend, and smiled. Fluttershy nodded, her sea-foam green eyes wide and glittering with happiness.
"I'm so glad you've mastered it now, Rainbow Dash!" She exclaimed softly, turning as she spotted Scootaloo. She smiled. "Well, hello Scootaloo!" At Scootaloo's name, Rainbow Dash turned, surprised, her eyes meeting the young filly's for a moment before she smiled.
"Hey! Did you see what I did there?" She asked, puffing out her chest in pride. Scootaloo nodded, flapping her wings and hopping up and down.
"Yeah! It was so cool! Can you teach me how to do one?" She asked excitedly, eyes shimmering towards her rolemodel. Rainbow Dash paused then awkwardly glanced between Applejack and Fluttershy, who were biting their lips.
"Uh, no offense Scoot, but you're not exactly the best flyer," Rainbow Dash said with a raised eyebrow. Scootaloo immediately understood and nodded, looking down and shuffling her hooves.
"Oh, okay, I get it.." She muttered, turning away and flattening her ears. I bet Rainbow Dash will never like me..
"Scoot! What'd you disappear for?" Apple Bloom called over, straightening her bow. At the call, Scootaloo jumped.
"Coming!" She called, taking a last glance at Rainbow Dash before running off towards her friends.
