Prologue
It was a cool, crisp morning. Maddox and Akari were sleeping away in their den. Maddox woke up, breathing in the fresh air from outside. He stretched quietly trying to not disturb Akari. Without much luck, Akari woke. "Go back to sleep." Maddox grumbled. "No." Akari hissed back ignoring him. "Go back to sleep!" He repeated a bit more firm and harsh. Getting irritated Akari growled back offended, "Shut up! You're a horrible brother! I am not two anymore!" They ran out her mouth a bit more rude than she intended. Maddox feeling hurt ran out the den angry as ever. He was sprinting towards the dark forest.
The Real Deal - Le Story
It was a day after Maddox ran away. Akari was scared he had gotten hurt - or worse case scenario, dead. She came to a conclusion, that she would go and find him in the dark forest. She got the supplies needed, put them in a bag and set off in search for him. Akari walked right out the den mixed with too many emotions for her to express. She tread right towards the life changing forest. She came to a halt when she was at the beginning of the dark forest. She breathed in, and walked straight into it.
She heard wretched screams, horrifying looks upon the trees. She trotted along in hopes of detecting her brother. She heard a parculiar scream quite unique than the others. She stopped, dead silent. Akari heard the scream again and then in a blink of an eye, red demon like glowing eyes shined on her. She couldn't make out the silhouette. She walked back in attempt to escape. She then started running as fast as she could, tripping on a tree branch. The demon charged at her.
Akari closed her eyes shut, so if she was killed she wouldn't see the demon-beast. She heard something jump out of the bushes...She opened her eyes to peek. She couldn't believe it! Maddox was right in front of her guarding her! The glowing eyes growled with hate and fury. The monsters long sharp nails hit Maddox's cheek running through his fur leaving a bloody opening. Maddox fought back, battling pain. He growled, showing his pointed nails, he batted the demons eyes over and over again. Akari could hear the demon squeal and cry. The beast had fled. Akari saw Maddox, full of blood, his fur was matted. "Lets get home and clean you up." Akari said examining his body. Maddox nodded "I'm sorry I ran away leaving you, all alone." Akari looked straight into his eyes "I love you brother, I should have never said those uncivil words." Maddox was relieved. "I love you too Akari." Realizing their relationship had finally come together to be forever brother and sister.
