This story is about 2 pegasi named Feather Weight and Scootaloo. Feather Weight and Scootaloo are friends in this story, they hang out and he shows her some flying techniques to help her flying. One day, a terrible accident during a lesson leaves Feather Weight in the hospital. He wins Scootaloo's heart with his brave act. But he needs to figure out, does she love what he did or does she love him?
Chapter 1
Bravery
"Yeah, just like that!" He called down, hovering slightly above an orange pegasus with a purple mane. Her violet eyes followed the beige pegasus. Feather Weight beamed at her, his heart pumping against his skinny chest. His brown mane was flapping in the breeze and he cleared it out of his eyes with one small hoof.
Scootaloo buzzed her wings and hovered above the ground. She let out a cry of joy and moved forwards, then back. She extended her forelegs and let out a whoop of pure excitement.
Feather Weight smiled. "Don't try anything too hard Scootaloo!" He warned as she started spinning around. She stopped and glared at him and for a moment Feather Weight thought she was angry before he caught a good-natured smile. She flapped her wings harder and rose above him, the sun glinting off her glossy feathers.
Scootaloo circled around, her mane swishing delicately. She was stunning, the sun's bright light reflecting off of her. The shadow circled on the bright grass and Feather Weight was lulled by her beauty. Suddenly, she let out a call of alarm. Something was racing forwards, towards her. She flapped her wings, but the thing slammed into her. Her wings snapped shut and she fell with a shriek. Her legs flailed and she plummeted with the speed of a falling rock.
Feather Weight went into a nose dive after her, his heart racing and his small wings flapping wildly. He hit the ground and braced himself, all of his muscles tense. He felt her weight slam into his back like a boulder and something snapped. He let out a cry then his legs folded beneath him, and blackness crept over him.
Beep. "Stop it." Featherweight muttered, his jaw clenching as pain shot through him. He opened his eyes and looked around the white room. "W-Where am I?" He groaned, feeling bandages rub against his thin chest hair. Pain blasted through him as he pushed himself up with his hooves and he fell back with a yelp. He gave a start as he recognized the beeping. He looked at the heart monitor and thrashed his legs, desperate to throw off the covers. One of his back legs stiffened and burned and he screamed, falling back with a moan. A nurse and a pretty pegasus came in. Scootaloo was restrained by the nurse as she held her tail. "Lemme go!" She snapped and tugged free rushing over to him.
Tears formed at Scootaloo's eyes. "Feather Weight I'm so sorry! I was so stupid to go that high. Now because of me, all of your ribs and right hind leg are broken." She wailed and pressed her nose into his mane, crying.
Feather Weight brushed her mane with a forehoof, ignoring the pain. "It's ok." He soothed, then noticed her left wing was bandaged. "What happened?" He asked, worried.
Scootaloo looked at the bandages. "I sprained it. But that doesn't matter, just look at you!" She cried, tears falling down her cheeks. She put a hoof on his chest, moving it when he winced in pain. "That was so brave, what you did. You saved my life." She whispered, her eyes streaming with more tears.
"It was nothing Scoots. I-I..." He trailed off as her lips met his and his eyes closed, his heart racing and sending bursts of pain through him. He opened them to see she had retreated. "I love you too." She said.
