Pet's name: Covu
March 17, 2012 - The beginning of a new day
My name is Covu, and I'm 41 days old. I was born on the 5th of Febuary into a mysterious world. I've stumbled upon someone by the name of SilverDust, who has taken me in and tooken care of me, but she has no idea of who I am and I tend to keep it that way. She doesn't know that the more time she spends with me, the more in danger she becomes, so from this day forward and on, I vow to protect her from any harm that I bring or don't bring to her.
I'm a Dragon dog and have the power to shift into a dragon along with the power over the element of fire and earth, but she has no idea, and neither do my brothers or sisters who are normal pets. I want to keep it like that, but I might be revealed soon with the danger that is rising. I have dragon hunters after me, and so do some of my siblings, but we're trying to remain hiden to keep our other siblings safe and to protect her. Let me recount the past few days.
When I was born, I was born in a litter to a Dragon master. The Dragon master had been cruel to us and wanted our powers for their own evil use. Me and my siblings frowned upon this, but I was the only one brave enough to flee. Running as fast as I could, I could hear the Dragon master sending his minions after me. I barely escaped into the worlds of the humans and found myself living on their streets. My coat stood out and when I came across a human, they starred at me in horror. After a few days of wandering the streets and starving, I became recless from fatigue and ran into something the humans call a Dog Catcher. He got ahold of me and threw me into a cage with other dogs, who fought with me and made sure I was in the lowest ranks of the dogs possible. The place I satyed in for the next few days was horrible and I hated the dogs that surrounded me. They were all either crazed from being in the cages, or vicious from mistreatment and hunger. Whenever a human walked in they all went to the door of the cage and begged to be taken away, I stayed in the corner and watched.
A few more days past, and then she walked into the place. SilverDust stood tall and looked at all the dogs with a sadness in her eyes and a longing. I could tell she wanted to bring all of them home with her and give them a better life, but she could only choose one, and she chose me! She walked up to my cage, the other dogs swarmed the door and I satyed behind as usual, and her eyes went imidiately to me. She smiled and whistled to the Dog Catcher and pointed to me. He nodded and got me out of the cage. Not knowing what was happening, I coward. She bent down and scratched my ears, which was a sensation I had never encountered before, and I knew that everything was going to be a ll right. I walked up to a cement wall that was taller then me but came up to her waist and waited. She filled out paper worked. After a few minutes she bent down and clipped osmething she calls a collar around me. She smiled and clipped a leash on the collar and she walked me to her car and took me home.
I found she had a lot of pets, and she treated them all equal with so much love it was unbelieavable. I learned to love them all and to love her and I became a member of her family. I learned quickly that some of my siblings were gifted like me and that they were trying to hide as well. We all agreed we would protect SilverDust with all our might and together we have watched over her and our siblings so far. And now I'm siting here recording all that has happened in my lifetime, and I will be doing so. This is a way for me and future generations to keep track of things and to tell of my life story and to encourage those being mistreated to act!
I sign off now with a word of love to SilverDust and my siblings. May courage fill you, and dreams enchant you!
