Prologue

"Kiokino!" shouts mother. Mother. The strickest dragon-wolf in the world. I run over to her. "No running in the cave!" she shreiks. I slow to a walk. "Yes, mother?" I ask." Siokoline is sick. You must watch her while I travel to the market for medicine." Mother says. Siokoline. Mother's favorite. Sigh. I walk over to Siokoline's cave-room. "Come in." she coughs. I walk into the room. "How you feeling?" I whisper. "Sick." snaps my sister.

Kiokino walks over to her sister. "Kiokino, can you get me some water?" gasps Siokoline. I grab the stone glass in my clawed paw hand thingy. I hand it to her. Siokoline takes a small sip. My mother walks in. Then a thought popped into my mind. How am I a Angel Dragon-wolf, and Mother and Siokoline Demon Dragon-wolves? Was Father a Angel Dragon-wolf? Mother hands Siokoline a medicinal leaf. "Now, Siokoline, take a small bite. Or you could die. Its very strong medicine." Mother whispers gently. Siokoline sneers and takes a big bite out of the leaf. She shudders then lays still. Mother frowns. "I warned her." Mother turns to me. "Take her body to the graveyard." she snaps. Demon Dragon-wolves or Demon Drolfs, have a favorite child. Then if that child dies, they dont even care! I begin to haul Siokoline to the grave yard.
I sit in the sun, in a clearing, in the woods. Mother snapped. She left me behind. To fend for myself. Demon Drolfs are heartless cruel creatures! I spread my feathery winds. The light blue feathers gleaming in the sun, my navy blue scales taking in the warmth of the sun. I see a bush quiver. I rumange threw one of the bags I packed after Mother left me. I take out my bow, and quiver of arrows. Another Drolf emerges. I stand up and cautiosly approach what looks like a Water Drolf. This Drolf was white. Its water-proof wings a light purple.

Kiokino swishes her thick soft tail. "Who are you?" she says. "Oh. Im sorry I didnt know anyone lives here." the strange Water Drolf whispers shyly. Kiokino notices a bird on the Drolf's back. "Who are you though? Also why is there a bird on your back?" Kiokino grumbles. "Oh, umm...im Pepplestone or Pebble. My frined the falcon here, his name is Dolfin." Pepplestone says in her sweet voice. Another Drolf appears. This time a Angel Drolf. "Pepplestone! Have you-" the Drolf stops talking. "Who is....this Kono?" it snears. "Oh, sure im the Kono!" Kiokino grumbles spreading her blue wings which now match her navy blue scales. "Sure im a Angel Drolf like you, yet you call me a Kono!" Pepplestone shrinks to the ground then stands back up. "Quiet!" she shreiks. The other Drolf swishes his tail. "Jiono. We need more Drolfs, so be NICE!" she says staring at the Drolf. Jiono stares at her. "Go back to camp!" Peppletone looks like she wants to argue but walks away. Jiono looks at me. His form shimmers and instead of a Angel Drolf he was now a Demon Drolf. Yes, Drolfs can change their form. "LISTEN UP!" he shouts. "I am top Drolf around here. Pepplestone is mine!" snorts Jiono. I stare at him. "You two are....." Kiokono breaks off. Her form also shimmers revealing her true form, a male half Demon half Angel Drolf. Jiono stares at Kiokono in amazment. "Whats-whats your name?" he says. "I am Kiokono." I say. "Which...which means form shifter...." he stares at me in wonder. I nod. "Yes well its true."
