But Echo didn't need to believe everything they said. But that would just lead her closer to death. Closer to them. But who is them? Is that the reason why they're here? The reason for everything? Description:
It's the five-hundredth anniversary of the Dark Days, and, naturally, the five hundredth Hunger Games. For centuries now children have been sent as Tributes to the Capitol. We all know the story of the Hunger Games, twenty-four children are sent as tributes to Capitol and have to fight to the death.

But this is a Quarter Quell, things are different this year. This time, families have been randomly chosen, and as usually families have more than one kid, more than one male and one female will be chosen to represent the Districts. Two of each, to be exact. And when there aren't enough kids in each family, others, only children, will be chosen too. Volunteering means the whole family gets thrown in, so who has the guts to do that?

With only one victor, how will the families cope? And who will win?

Follow Evie on her journey as she tries to keep her biological siblings away from her adopted family, keep herself and her friends from going completely off the rails with their activities, prove that driving into a lamp post was an accident and that she needs her car back and of course battle off the masses of boys who want to go out with her. Well, not masses but we can keep that a secret.
