Mm, it's officially the 20th over here, but it's Rose's final say as to what will be done about the deadline and such. I will say that I won't want the deadline being extended for more than 3 more days for the sake of me being able to get ready for school.

Hi, here's an entry. I'm not sure how this actually works so I just posted it on here, I hope that's fine ;A;
I'm also not sure whether it fits with the 'end of the world' theme but I think it's kind of close.

Those stars. A young girl looked out from her balcony, contemplating the night sky as the flickering dots of luminescence looked down on her. They started blinking rapidly in her vision, as if they were greatly distressed by something. Confused, the girl creased her forehead and squinted to see if it was just her imagination, but the ground vibrated causing her to fall back. What is it? The wind howled in her ears, whistling raucously as it raced through the windows and into the darkness. Clasping the railing of the balcony, she peered in the direction of the wind current, vision unclear as her raven black hair slapped her face. There was a red glow in the distance, growing more fluorescent by the second. A red star sparked out of the orange and grey plume, lighting the sky as the grey cloud blotted out the stars. Get inside! The girl was too fascinated to go back, but her conscience won over as she retreated slowly, gawking at the multiple scarlet stars that followed the first. A loud rumbling brought her back to earth just as an explosion of a maroon grey cloud puffed up from the horizon, blazing as the moon faded from sight. The girl eventually proceeded inside. She watched the marvellous orchestra of colours from the window, until another deafening explosion sent the glass shattering, leaving the girl unconscious.

Why did this happen? Hazy rays of dawn were filtered through the remaining shards of glass that clung to the ravaged window. The girl’s white nightgown was stained with ash, and when she tried to swipe off the fragments it just brushed onto her dress. Ignoring the small matter, she picked her way through the pieces of broken glass, reaching the now-charred balcony. Grey specks felt fragile under her bare feet that seemed to evaporate once her foot came in contact. A trickle of blood dropped down from her eye, matching the colour of the sky as she studied her surroundings. The greenery was withering, ash smothered all over the landscape as far as the eye could see. Looking up, the fading stars seemed to glitter coldly at her now as the blood-red dawn light overtook the land, washing it in a wave of scarlet. I will find out why.

It's the 20th here also, but the judging won't start until midnight today CS time, so approximately 10 1/2 hours yet.

Thanks, Artesian! That plotbunny actually wanted to be a long story, so I needed to fit it into a short one, and then it got too short *cough*
I really do like yours ^^ Especially because I'm very fond of stories that feature themes like sin. *_* Also love your style! It's great ^^ (and... you know, I also love dashes... you can't steal them from meee).
