Re: { INKLINGS } A Thread For Writers

I was thinking I"ll probably just delete everyone off the list so we can start fresh, have a new forum specifically for joining, and a way of making certain things clearer (how to fill it out, acceptance is automatic, etc.)

I think the only thing we'd need to do is just add that to the post where it says to join..
or we could do away with the memberlist.
People don't have to join at all?
      idk.

Maaybe, maybe, we could have like featured people (?)
So, we wouldn't have people constantly joining but each.. month we could have like featured people. Posting a lot, nice stories, good advice, etc.
Like the employee of the month but a poster XD

I know I kinda missed it, but I like Inklings the way it is now c: But a thread specifically made for members to join would probably work out quite good! And on that note, I think there still should be a member's list, just because it's really nice to belong to a group, and Inklings is one of my favourites.

@watermelon: For your idea of the featured member of the month type of thing, I think it would be great! It would probably bring more activity to this already very active group c:

I think a featured member would be great! Perhaphs we could have a /!New! Check out this cool../ For new stories
and then a featured poem since we have a featured story. At my school we have a featured quote each week, perhaphs we could feature a monthly/week/2 week quote?
Btw, would anyone like to read the first-notdone.- chapter and the prologue (done) of my horse story for that event I'm doing?

I agree. Keep the member's list, and make a new thread for forums. It'll be so much easier that way. :)

@ Yuki and Ame - Music should help, also reading does help but don't read around areas where your story is. Are you writing a science fiction where a lab is testing creatures and sending them into a weird planet and blah? Try reading a novel or fanfictions. I read fanfictions and watch animes to help me, I'm reading a horse story so I'm trying to avoid realistic fiction and whatnot. Type up a bunch of random words XD, but don't strain yourself. I got mad once with writers block and attempted to type a line yea.. "A bunch of qood detailed lines.~ -writers block~ He screamed and raised his voice, throat scratching. 'It's all your damn fault you - I hate you1 You are so worthless and I do not want to even be around you damned idiot! Stupid trickery!" (It was worse with swearing ^^" I deleted it and started reading other things and calmed down XD)

Listening to music is a very good idea, especially if the lyrics, or even just the melody, tell a story. Personally, I like Two Steps From Hell, as their music is meant for films and trailers, so it's meant to tell a story.
