The Tree takes place mainly in the U.S.A., but I may be taking it to other countries in the future, just to mix some things up a bit. I'm changing the U.S.A. a bit, though, to make it more my own. For example: There are streets called "Pawsome Lane" and I have subways in South Dakota which, from most of my experiences from living here, either aren't there or there aren't many.
-Languages
Mainly English, but there is a Shadechaser language. It's nothing like, for example, Korean vs. English, but add a few words here in there, plop in some Latin and maybe a few other languages for the weapon names and BANG! Shadechaser language.
-Magic and supernatural forces
There is indeed magic in the Tree. There are warlocks, who are half-demon half-other animal (Dog or cat), who have magical capabilities. They can summon demons, cast spells, and do lots of other various crazy stuff. The Shadechasers can also put Marks upon themselves, which are their own kind of magic, though it isn't 100% magic. Said Marks can do lots of interesting stuff. For example, a healing rune can accelerate the healing process, and a Farsightedness rune would allow you to see better from longer-than-average distances. There's also the sprites, who cannot perform lots of magic, but are limited. They can create glamours, which can change the appearance of something/someone, or make something/someone invisible. There's also the Paratoins, who can harness various elements. I think that's all, I'll add in more later if there is more.
-Laws (because I just know that in some of your stories student rights, child labour and laws against harassment/assault literally don't exist)
- You can get your driver's licence in 7th grade; any age as long as you're in 7th grade (I wish that were true!)

Dream by Imagine Dragons because all this crazy stuff is going on in Isabella's life at once, and it's all magical and seems so un-real, like a dream (Heh heh, get it? Title of the song is Dream? It's like a dream? No? OK, I'll just go sit in a corner and cry.), but it isn't. And she has to cope with all the stuff that is going on at once (Learning about Paratoins and Shadechasers within, like, a week.), which I can only imagine is very difficult. Yeah. It's a good song, you should check it out.
