TIME FOR THE MOMENT OF TRUTH
After spending a few days thinking over who I should ask, I finally maned up and I'm gonna ask my crush!
How hard can that be?
"Um.. Zeon?"
"Hm?"
The tall up looked up from writing in his locker, looking down to see a familiar person standing behind him. Her blonde hair was tied into her usual high ponytail, wispy strands going to frame her flawless face. Looking up into his mismatch eyes with his rose pink ones, she smiled and blushed softly, looking attractive. If only he had eyes for her, but alas, he did not.
"Would you go to the dance with me?"
He froze.
Looking into her eyes, he frantically tried to see if she was joking, but she was serious. He felt sweat drop down his neck, feeling many sets of eyes on their figures. Glancing around, he stuttered on his answers.
"I, erm.. You see.. Um..."
As he flounder more and more eyes landed on him, and as he looked around, his eyes met Bruce.
Boy, was he mad.
Clenching his fists, and gritting his teeth, Zeon knew he was trying to restrain himself. However, he saw flashes of jealously and... sorrow? Was he sad? Why would he be sad? What was their relationship? Zeon thought they were dating, but it didn't seem like Lucy returned the feelings. Then he came to realize.
'He loves her so much. But she either doesn't know or doesn't care.'
An unrequited love.
Closing his own hand in determination, he smiled at Lucy, making her eyes brighten.
"No thank you. I have someone else I want to go with."
She looked down, tears starting to prick at the corners of her eyes. Zeon naturally felt guilty, but he didn't want to pushed around any more.
"O-oh..."
"But you know who would love to go with you? Bruce."
"Eh?!"
Hearing Bruce yelp in the crowd, Lucy perked, wiping the tears out her eyes.
"Huh? Really?"
"Yeah."
Giving her a pat on the head, he gave another fleeting smile, before closing his locker and walking away. He could hear the crowd muttering behind him, but he took no notice and continued walking away. Once he was out of hearing range, he sighed.
"Ugh, the pressure..."
"Good job man!"
"Nice guy, aren't ya?"
Almost screaming in shock as two arms went around his neck, he slightly flailed and looked at the two people that had clung to him. The other looked really similar, with matching hats. Actually, they wore the same hat as he did! Wait, weren't they the new trial students?
"Aren't you guy-"
"Yup!"
The guy said, grinning before he continued.
"I'm Beat! Over there is my less awesome step-sister Echo!"
"Oi!"
"Oh, nice to meet you guys."
"Same here, aren't you the guy that like, 5 girls like?"
Echo asked, leaning into his face. He blushed, and tried to lean away.
"Erm.. Is what you here about me?"
Best snickered, and let go of the tall boy, Echo doing the same.
"Yeah. But now I gotta run, Ciao~!"
"Same. Later, lover boy!"
And with that, they both left Zeon to himself with his thoughts.
I managed to avoid a huge problem today!
So, I guess Lucy does like me. I thought she and Bruce were always dating, but I guess they aren't...
Kinda sad really....
So she asked me to the dance, I said no, and suggested for her to ask Bruce. I have no idea if she did, but I met some new trial students today. They're step-sibling, apparently. They're pretty cool, I guess, but kinda.. what's the word...? Extreme? Rebellious? I don't know, but they give off a cool vibe, if ya get what I mean?
But after that, nothing really notable happened. I went to my last class, all my crew had other things to do, plus Miss Takamura closed up the shop today, she didn't tell me why, but I think it's for some Japanese holiday or something...
I'm at home right now.
"Big brother!"
"Hm? Lilly?"
The small girl giggled, and walked over to her older brother. He was currently sitting on the ground, in front of their couch. With the table in front of him, he was writing in his Guidebook. Her pinks looked down at his book, and she tilted her head. He quickly closed it.
"Hey Lilly, how you?"
His younger sister smiled, showing him the blanket and stuff animal she was carrying with her. His eyes looked at the small plush animal, the reindeer looking as it had for the past 10 years.
"You kept him?"
He asked, gingerly running his fingers over the worn out fur. Lilly nodded with a big smile.
"Yup! Big Brother, can you take a nap with me?"
"A nap?"
"Yeah! It's been a long time!"
He considered it, and Lilly was correct, work was always taking a lot of time from him. Plus he could use a nap himself, his day was pretty tiring, emotionally and physically. He smiled, moving so he sat on the couch.
"Yeah, I guess we can."
She cheered, tossing him the plush, which he caught. Climbing onto the couch, she wrapped her small arms around his waist, curling up onto his chest and trying to get the small blanket to cover his tall figure. He laughed, shifting so they were both comfortable. Within moments Lilly was out like a light and soon after, so was Zeon.
"..he is..."
"...do you... mad?"
"Nah."
The sounds of voice woke him up, and he slowly opened his eyes. Wiping them to clear his sight, he saw five other figures surrounding him. Once it had cleared, he saw his friends and younger siblings.
"Arugh... What are you guys...?"
Riven was trying to hold back his laughs, Emmett stared at him passively, Shiro wasn't even looking at him, Ida looked pretty shocked while Lilly giggled.
"Well, we decided to try and help you out, but somehow, we missed up."
Emmett finally stated. Zeon blinked, sitting up as the blanket fell onto his lap. Then he noticed his clothing was different. Instead of his plain white shirt and grey sweatpants, he was in black jeans and a light blue dress shirt. Feeling something around his neck, he saw a sea-shell necklace.
"What?"
He asked, and Lilly handed him a mirror. Looking into it, he saw nothing different. Same blue and green heterochromia eyes, pale skin, black hair....
Wait...
BLACK HAIR?!"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HAIR?!"*********
