Dear Noodle,

Without even thinking, I get up and rush over to Flashfire. I yank the knife out of her neck and slap a paw over it, barely even acknowledging the healing glow as I turn to scan the room. I see a mysterious figure standing behind her, leaning against the wall with arms crossed. Seeing as he wasn’t there before, and a ceiling tile near him is out of place, he’s our most likely candidate. Not to mention he just sorta looks like the type of person to stab someone’s girlfriend for no reason. Pointing the knife at him, I yell,
Me: “What the hell, dude? Why’d you just stab one of my girlfriends?”
He’s speechless for a moment, taking in the whole scene before he’s able to formulate a response.

Mystery Stabber: “Wow, uh,” [throat clear] “Hello. I’m Silver. Sorry for the, ah, rocky start. And sorry for stabbing your girlfriend. But I’m here to deliver a message. And it seems the only way to get through to you people is through brute force.”
Me: “Excuse me? I’d be more than willing to hear out whatever anyone has to say.”
Aldorf: “Uh..”
Me: “And, ‘you people’? Sounds pretty strawman-y to me.”
Aldorf: “Uhh...”
Silver: [chuckle] “Really? You’d listen to a Giftless?”
Aldorf: “There it is.”
He said that as if Silver announcing that he was a Giftless was supposed to immediately make me hate him. I haven’t even heard the term before, but I assume it’s someone without magic (or something to that effect).
Me: "Really, dude? As if happening to not have magic immediately makes someone worthless? There's more to people than just their capability for magic."
Aldorf: "Oh, well I just meant-"
Silver: "Wait sh______________
