Surprisingly, Pete put a wet rag to my cut, and the blood dried and stopped within a few minutes. But why had he helped me, after he had hurt me so badly? I looked at him, and he noticed the strange look on my face. I looked into his eyes. And you won't believe what I saw. Tears.
Pete are you.... are you crying?
Pete wiped his eyes and growled.

But he was. I looked at his eyes again, and he stopped growling, and cried more.
Why are you crying?
I was whispering. There was something in his eyes. Something.... different.

I don't know how she escaped, but she was there, I turned around, and she was gone!
