I woke up to burning sunlight on my face, It felt like I had just woken up from some sort of dream..But I couldn't remember it. Not one detail.
BUt I knew it was there..just burning in my mind. Making me break into a cold sweat, What was wrong with me? "errr....no...i...can't...remember...Sh*t!"
I needed to get to a hospital, I knew what was wrong with me....I was going through Withdrawl. No, that is a lie! Don't believe it Amanda...
It isn't true! It is a bunch of...oh my god! I was curled into a ball on the floor. Trying to convince myself that this wasn't happening. I couldn't be!
........nose bleed, ah...no, no! Just stop!
♠
This may not make any sense, the character is obviously crazy and I am still working on it.
(And sorry for the language by the way xD)

I've always wanted to have one in my story because it would add some awkward funny scenes I think, but I don't know how people would react to him/her. Any opinion is appreciated. ^.-
I love having LGBT characters, and it's not limited to just gay characters. I've written all sorts of sexualities and gender identities, it adds a whole lot of diversity to the character list and if you're going for a book with a fluffy, romantic feel, a romance between queer characters can be just so sweet and happy from my experience.

I don't care what orientation, ethnicity, or gender a character is. If I can relate to them and understand their decisions, I'll like them. The only problem I can see is if the ONLY thing that the character does is getting into funny scenes, with no other traits or plot relevance. Also, if possible, look up some of the articles and stuff people have written on gay characters. It seems a lot to do, but I have found it helps as it allows me to see the various ways I can write a character and see if I'm not falling into some old cliches, such as killing off the character at the end to "redeem" him. If nothing else and the character isn't well received, you can always revise.
I actually have one wolf character (long story) who pretty much slapped me in the face and said "Guess what, genius? I've been in love with my same sex best friend for years. Write it in!"

deadpool.Haha, that's funny! (about the wolf character) :3 I pretty much agree. If they are a reasonable character in the plot, then it doesn't matter what sexual orientation/gender/race they are, in my opinion. Heck, it may even add some edge or effect to them!
I was listening to some music one day and came up with the plot of a futuristic setting. Basically, each person has these things called "Lovestones" embedded on their right wrist at birth, and by legend, when you hold hands with your true love, both of the stones will glow red. What I was actually thinking is that deeper into the plot, you find out that when it glows red, it actually means you're polar opposites/not meant for each other, while if it grows green then you're actually meant for each-other. Extremely rough and I know there definitely are some hard edges and weak points in it, but overall, just as a quick overview, what do all of you think of it? Would you read something similar?

How to put this... I don't want to read about homosexual characters that are
defined by being queer. They should be
complete characters, who happen to have one part of their personality be that they are not hetero-normative. There are so many stories I've read and watched where they included a token character who was basically a gay person with a few traits added on to make them look like a whole person.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.
