You'll never get better if you don't get crits. Saying you don't like crits because your writing is bad.... well.... you won't get better. XD I'm awful, in the beginning I didn't take crits well, but now I tell readers to be as harsh as possible, and I've gotten better. So would you. ^_^

Honestly I learn best through experience, just writing a bunch of junk and then I keep going until it gets a bit better and so on. Critiques usually make me cry and get discouraged about my writing and then I just usually don't write for a while and abandon whatever characters were mentioned in the critique, I just don't take criticism well, just a personality fault really, I can't help getting upset over little things... I abandoned this story so long ago XD, it seems even more pathetic now that I've written a 50,000 word story even though that isn't written very well...

Psh. Experience isn't enough, I learned that awhile ago. You teach yourself the same mistakes over and over again unless someone tells you it's wrong, likewise to tell you how to make it better. Trust me, you'll take crits better with time. I did, although admittedly they never made me cry. Even so, honestly, they're just trying to help you, that's a serious overreaction. You get harsher thins in school!*you can't tell me this isn't true XD*
If experience is helpful, experience in taking crits is helpful. It is. You'll need it in life. ^_^
...time for me to sleep.

I know, it's not like teachers and my parents haven't told me time and time again that I have issues with overreacting to things... Eh, I know a lot of the issues with my writing and I'm too lazy to fix them and partially hoping no one will notice, which is mainly why I get upset when people point them out. I obviously can't know all the problems though but with new ones that I learn of through critique I usually just abandon the story instead of fixing it, it makes me sad to continue with things I've gotten criticism on, reminds me of how terrible a writer I can be at times. At least it's better than my writing in 4th grade which was similar to something that should have been written by a kindergartner, seriously, I misspelled everything then, had no plot, used almost no adjectives and each sentence started with "then" XD.

As obviously you don't like this conversation, I have one last comment.
aibo7m3 wrote:"it makes me sad to continue with things I've gotten criticism on, reminds me of how terrible a writer I can be at times."
All writing gets crits. The best authors get crits. Crisism is the key to getting better. Of all stores the one with the
most criticism are the ones to continue, if you want to get better. Unless of course it's a cliche-ridded hopeless story. Which I doubt anyone but kindergartners write. ^_^
So, yup.
