[[I tried and therefore nobody should judge me....
Classical music and dice being thrown set the scene, along with the hollers and drunken laughing coming from all sides. This certainly wasn’t Jackson’s kind of place, his brother’s maybe, but definitely not his. He sighed, looking down at the glass in his hand, the translucent brown liquid very slowly rising as the ice melted in it. He shouldn’t be in such a place, it wasn’t right. Turning around in his chair, he looked out at the crowd of people, and there, between two very attractive women, sat Caine. Caine, the elder and more confident of the Kenzy brothers, threw two more chips into the centre of the table before glancing at his younger brother at the bar and winking, natural cheeky smirk on his face. Jackson couldn’t help by roll his eyes and turn back to face the bar, glass placed back down on it with a small thump.
About five minutes later, a plate that held some strange looking dried meat was placed in front of Jackson. He looked up from his glass, brushing his blonde locks from his face to see possibly one of the most amazing girl’s standing behind the bar. She looked like somebody who should have been on stage at a ballet. She looked back at him with large chocolate brown eyes, her almost black hair tied up tightly in her a bun atop her head.
“Octopus Jerky.” She said in a voice so soft and sweet it could have been an angel’s. “You look like you could use a pick-me-up. Give it a try.” That was all she said before she turned away and strolled back down the bar to other waiting customers. ‘Octopus jerky?’ he thought curiously, looking down at the plate before him, hand moving to grab a piece. Well, why not? It wouldn’t be the first strange thing he’d ever tried?
