Charlie's smile drops and she blinks. "Oh."

"I found some nomads who pointed me to someone that can bring me home," you explain. "As soon as my debt is paid to Jay, I'm heading off."

Charlie doesn't speak for a moment. Instead, she sits up completely. "S'pose I shouldn't be surprised. When exactly are you leaving?"

"Around midnight, I think. I need some time to get my directions sorted out with Pretty Boy, and then I need to prepare to go, but after that, I'm off." You give her a sheepish smile. "Sorry I didn't tell you before."

"I don't suspect you even knew," Charlie says. "Where're you going?"

"I'm heading southwest to a caravan," you say. "Or, I think it's a caravan."

"Didn't think those still existed," Charlie murmurs. She's got a far-off look in her eye - something's troubling her.
