Oo, good luck! What's your novel about?

Oh dear... that sounds like a problem; what's up with it?

I am new to this thread, so thanks for the welcome. And okay. Will do. I will avoid all carrots. why?

My novel is essentially about magic and faeries in a modern day, big city. It's like gang wars between fae courts and witches. (That's the best summary I can think of without getting too into it.) I wrote it last winter, and it just wrote so easily (I think it was the first time that i didn't experience writers block) but when I reread it, it was kind of ehh.

My big problem now is that I need to find a way for Ben (my protagonist) to interact with (and become indebted to) Kyran (the main antagonist) but right now I have it with Ben becoming Kyran's apprentice and it reads really dumb and feels forced...

Bleh.

Awh, thanks! I'm glad the idea sounds interesting. I haven't posted it anywhere yet because I'm afraid that it's not good enough
but it's also 332 something pages long, and there's a bit of rude language in it, so I couldn't possibly post it on CS x.x

I may post the bit that i need help with though, I'll have to take a look. o3o

I'm sitting here wondering if he left like just left or died (obviously this but I'm hoping its not so yeah) and it's making me so upset because I could never handle if one of my best friends died and so I'm just a hot mess, so congratulations you really have pounded the nail on emotional writing!

Thanks, I hope it was good I guess. Also I left little context clues to what really happened, but you can decide what happened for yourself. I was kind of hoping this would connect with people, but ya.
Now I need to find something happy to write about! (my mind is in a darker place at the moment, but i'm still writing a humorous story most likely all the characters have a piece of me in it).

So I went on the WolfQuest site to relook at my nanowrimo novel (bad idea, content is horrible, what was I thinking, that was 7 years ago, ack) and found TWO other stories I started, so now I'm like.....should I move them here to CS and continue working on them?? Would anyone read them? Both are about wolves (obvs) but if I get some interest, I'd love to share them.

I've been taking the MBTI test for my characters guys, it's actually really fun. I just feel like that's a nice little thing for an author to be able to tell readers their favorite character's personality types.

I've done that! I have their results written down somewhere but I'm not sure where...
I also did Mack's twice, prewar and postwar, to take PTSD into account. She went from being extroverted to introverted, from what I recall.

Also I don't know why but I just rememebered a tiny idea I had about a sort of introductory chapter I wrote a while ago. It was about this girl who was totally fine with there being an apocalypse, but she was NOT fine with messing up her braces. She wasn't going to have bits of wire and jangling metal in her mouth. Her quest is literally to find a dentist, and maybe find some friends along the way save some people yadda yadda. I'd love to post it and get some thoughts but I don't know the post limit on this forum and I'm still a bit iffy on whether the apocalypse is an appropriate topic for CS, ya know?

Speaking of old works and mortification . . . . I was reading though my idea folder, and I opened up the very first story I started seriously writing on a computer (about four kids from seperate worlds {one of whom lies about being a "goddess in training," but then she finds out she actually IS a goddess} who were brought together to stop some evil) . . . . . . . Gods, no. I just - agh, did I really write this way back then?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
