Chapter 15

It was only two in the afternoon when our movie marathon ended. I really enjoyed it, although only three minutes into Children of the Corn, the third movie, Kendall and I ran out of popcorn and couldn't get more because it kept interrupting the movie, according to Madelyn. "Hey, why don't we practice for your Robobank Arena performance?" Madelyn asked, getting up. I shrugged, and she led Kendall and me to a room the back of the house, and it was the game room. There was a small karaoke stage, an xbox, wii, pool table, and so many other things. It was awesome! "So.." Madelyn said, hooking up the microphone, "What song?" I thought for a moment, then knew which one. "Leave the Pieces." She nodded, and pulled up two chairs and Kendall sat down.
I walked up onto the stage, and took a deep breath, imagining myself at Robobank. I began to strum the guitar, and began.

Before my alarm clock could go off, I shot out of bed like a ninja. My feet hit the floor, and I was met by a zombie in the mirror of my room. I was still in my outfit from last night, and my hair was all over the place. Something smelled funny, and I smelled my arm, and cringed. I checked the clock, it was 6:30. Good, no one hasn't taken a shower yet so all the hot water is still on. I grabbed some clothes, and rushed to my bathroom and showered.

I got out, dried my hair, and dressed in one of my favorite outfits. The shorts were a light blue, and I put on black flats. Then I put on a pretty floral shirt, and a black quarter sleeve jacket that flowed to my bikini line. Then I put on some mascara and eye liner to make my eyes stand out. Today I was going to impress. Yes, today was the first I were to perform at Robobank in Bakersfield! When I walked out, a clattering noise from the kitchen. Curious, I crept downstairs to see Kendall pacing and whispering something to Madelyn when he noticed me.

"Kendall?" I asked, reaching the stairs. I was met with a pair of arms wrapped around me, Kendall's chest blocking my view. "Hey, Ari-boo!" he said, "Let's go shopping!" Madelyn suddenly said, and whipped me around and dragged me out the door, not letting me see the living room and kitchen. For wearing heels, Madelyn sure has a grip! I wonder where she's taking me...
