NEW ENTRY!!!! :O (oh, btw, this re-introduces a new, OLDER character!!!! [guess who!!! {NO YOU CANNOT TELL ME!!! xD}])
We were in the air, as if we were flying. Slowly, I looked down. Below us was water, and a small island. I set another shaky paw in front of me. I saw someone flying down below. I blinked, confused. Instead of concentrating on whatever I was (like trying to stay on this weird thing...?) I focused on the thing that was flying around, and suddenly, my world fell. My screams echoed around me. Mardu froze, and looked down at me. His eyes widened and the dumb dog tried to run to me. I couldn't hear anything he was saying. My friend's gaze drifted down to me, and I understood what he was saying. I shut my eyes, trying to picture Mardu, when something grabbed hold of me. My eyes shot open and I looked behind me.
Its green eyes stared at me, an evil gleam creeping out. Before I could scream, he clamped a paw over my mouth, and grabbed a small spray bottle. He shot it at me, and let me go. I fell, past the clouds, and past the island, straight below the water. Then, it started.
I looked down at myself when I woke up. I was a mini-me. Oh my gosh. Was this a... Flashback...?! (Ihavenoclueok)
Another tiny puppy jumped on me. I let out a small squeak.
Hey! Magofik! Not cool!The puppy laughed, his brown eyes sparkling with laughter. He looked like a mini Mardu.
White paws cuffed Mardu's ears. Their laugh echoed around the room.
Defokia! Magofik growled, whirling around to face the white dog. She laughed, getting off him.
Get off of Jaghoal! she growled, standing up. One paw was in front of her, and she held her head up high. Her beaming bright purple eyes were narrowed, but held a small gleam of laughter. Then, she couldn't help it anymore. She collapsed from her pose onto the floor, and started laughing. I laughed, too. My eyes sparkled, and then flicked the small pointy end of my tail at Magofik's nose. He sneezed, letting my tail go. Defokia and I started laughing harder than ever.
A large creaking sound filled out in the room. We all stopped laughing, and turned around. There were two large, mahogany oak-wood doors, engraved with gold designs. Three dogs walked in.
Dad? Who're they?I narrowed my eyes at the dogs, and then stared at my "dad" (which, by the way, looks like a mutated dog and rat). The brown dog with a book looked over at Defokia curiously.
Is it her? she asked.
The other brown dog shook her head, laughing.
No. She smiled.
Jade.I blinked, looking up at the sound of my (English, I'd guess) name.
Yes? I asked, slowly padding up.
"Dad" looked at me.
You chose her, and not her sister? Her sister is more-Silence. Yes, I know this isn't my place to interrupt you king, she said "king" with such a big distaste, I was afraid for her,
but I chose Jade fair in square. She holds talents I'm sure your other daughter doesn't. The dog held the king's gaze like stone. He sighed and gave in.
Very well. Allie, you know what you have to do.Allie laughed in glee.
Yes I do. She opened her book and pointed at me, and started chanting. Slowly, I started feeling foggy.
Allie stopped chanting, and I shook my head slowly.
What... happened? I looked at the three dogs and the two puppies with me.
Who are you?Defokia shrieked in rage.
You made her lose her mind?! YOU CRUEL-SILENCE! the king roared. The three of us shrank back. The tan dog padded forward slowly, and nudged me back up.
It's ok, Jade. My name's Ginger. She started to say something else, but then Allie glared at her. Ginger sighed sadly.
Come on Jade. You have to meet the Others. She forced a small smile.
But... But... Who is everyone?Ginger sighed.
When you're older, I'll tell you everything. I promise.I nodded slowly.
O-okay... I muttered. I slowly padded out with her, and gazed back at the other two- Magofik stared after me in horror, and Defokia sighed sadly.
Why her...? she seemed to whisper sadly, before the huge oak doors slammed.
Mist shimmered around me before the scene changed. I was in the HQ, training. Nyx, Gwyn, and a different dog was there. I was a bit older, about ten.
Nyx blinked.
Wait. I thought that-No. Don't worry You'll get used to it. She turned to Gwyn, who had raised her paw.
Yes, Heather?It's Gwyn, she uttered darkly, before looking up.
That doesn't make sense though, Miss Moonfeather!! How can one feel like something is happening, like, fore say, you're falling out of the sky, from an invisible layer which you can walk on? Say as your falling to the water, past an island, a dog comes out of nowhere, and sprays you with a potion to make you see memories you've forgotten, and you start to drown, then the potion kicks in. How would you not drown?Moonfeather laughed, smiling.
Well... See, in that potion, contains a special ingredient, called Rosen Ivory, which lasts about forty-five minutes to an hour. That allows the dog under the potion to be able to breathe underwater, or act as a barrier in lava, or so on. Now, I must be going. Lucky and Jewel are here for your next lesson.Gwyn sighed in anger, and Nyx looked happy. I just blinked, passing it on.
Jewel and Lucky walked in the door, then the dream faded.
I jerked awake. I was underwater. I could breathe. Gwyn could tell the future. (Yeah, seriously random.) I saw one of the most important moments in my past. And.... I took a shaky breath. I didn't want to believe it. I wouldn't believe it.
I started walking around slowly. The water's gravity pushed down on me. Even though I could breathe, I couldn't fight of the gravity, or swim. I jumped up slowly, and the water held me for a split second. I started slowly falling, and I got an idea. I jumped again, and before the water could pull me down, I kicked with my back legs with all the force I could muster. Slowly, I started gaining height, but I was going slow. I started paddling slowly with my front paws, and I gained height faster. I paddled and kicked with all my force and as fast as I could. I started gaining altitude, and saw a faint outline of the sun. There was my goal. I tried to kick faster, but I was starting to get tired. I slowed my pace down with regret, and sighed.
About ten minutes later, I was almost at the surface. I tried to breathe but water rushed down my nose, instead of around. I tried to hold my breathe, trying not to gasp for air. Trying not to cough.
The surface was an inch away. I kicked with all my might, and broke the surface. I gasped for air, coughing.
JADE! Mardu shouted. I turned over to him, and he dove in. He swam over to me, and I grabbed his arm. He swam back slowly, and made it to the sandy beach. Ever so slowly, I stood up, and coughed out more water.
I'm fine, I lied. Mardu nodded slowly, trying to act convinced. His eyes brightened and he grinned.
Jade! Follow me, there's a surprise for you on the island!That got my attention.
What?! I called out, grinning. I ran to him. His eyes sparkled.
Follow me! they seemed to say.
We ran to the center of the island, when...
JADE! a girl's voice cried out. I shrieked, as a dog shot over to me and gave me the world's biggest hug.
Gwyn! I breathed, hugging her back. I looked up at the Others. I smiled, seeing the last Ten. Their spirits were smiling. I didn't notice Gwyn had let go of me. Nyx, Kantaka, Lavender, Hunter, Charm, Ivy, Fern, and Danzi all ran over to me, calling out my name.
What happened?! Kantaka demanded.
Tell us!I shook my head, laughing. My eyes shone.
I'll tell you later.Then, I looked up again. Charm was smiling, wider than I'd ever seen her.
Charm, it seems like if you smile any wider, then you'll blow up!We all laughed at that comment.
Well, that's just it... She motioned for someone to come over.
T-Tiff...?Tiffany smiled at me.
Welcome back, kid.I laughed, moving away from my friends, and faced the spirits. Nine.
Still not yet...? I whispered, staring at one in particular.
She shook her head.
Not yet, she whispered sadly.
Another spirit stepped up.
Yet, there are still some friends you haven't met yet... Come on with me. Her eyes shimmered.
Well come on. Her eyes shimmered at me. I took a step forward, and started to walk over to her, when I was pushed to the ground, and saw Fern running over to her.
Hazel! she cried out.
Hazel smiled, laughing.
Fernblizzard.The other Ten members ran over to their mentors, saying hello. Mardu smiled at me, but I could tell it was pained. I gave him the same smile. He walked over to me as I stood up.
There's only nine of the previous Ten... Where's the last one?Hazel looked over, giving a sharp glare at Mardu, making the two of us recoil.
She's missing, obviously.I looked at Mardu and gave him a small, quick hug. I let him go as I spoke.
I'll be right back. I promise.I ran after Hazel, and froze as she came to a stop.
There were seven dogs, and I recognized four of them.
I know you four, I said softly, walking up, standing to Hazel's right, a little in front of her.
You're Hybrid, Adriena, Mist, and Taylor.Taylor smiled.
Actually, it's Amy. She laughed.
Amy/Taylor looked at her friends. Adriena smiled.
And it's not Adriena. I'm Fireivy. Fireviy/Adriena flashed me an amused smile.
Yeah, and my name's not Mist. Mist laughed, her eyes sparkling.
Name's Secrecy. Secrecy/Mist smiled at me.
And I'm not Hybrid. Hybrid smiled at me, her eyes gleaming.
'Name's Alex. Hybrid/Alex smiled at me.
And these two, Bob and Ron, are Amy's brothers.Amy looked like she was about to punch Secrecy when she mentioned her brothers.
Bob's green eyes gleamed.
I'm Bob. This is my brother, Fred.IT'S RON! All of us laughed, and Hazel suppressed a smile.
That joke never gets old!And I'm Fox, the last dog said.
I smiled at him, then turned to everyone else.
I'm Jade.They smiled, then I heard laughter above me. I saw everyone else running downhill to me us. I laughed, smiling as Mardu accidentally bowled into me.
Mardu's eyes sparkled.
C'mon, Jade!He grabbed my paw, and I laughed, running after him. We reached the middle of the island, and he pointed above us.
That's the "city" isn't it?He smiled, and nodded. I sighed.
Mardu, there's something I need to tell you...So I told him the small clip I had of my past as a young dog. His eyes widened as I spoke.
Jaghoal... he whispered, staring at me. His eyes were brimmed with that one single memory.
It's Jag, or Jade, now, I teased, playfully smacking him. He laughed, and I grabbed his hand.
C'mon let's go back. I grinned at him, and he laughed.
Alright, Jag he teased me. We laughed, and I pulled him down the slope.
And that is the end of this book!!!
