Also, when you've been meaning to work on that novel you're working on....but you've been putting it off o\for over a month...

haha right?! I put so much off and lose motivation so nothing ever gets worked on...oops!
The thing I've found is...the longer you put it off, the less and less you wanna do it. If you just make yourself do a little bit every day...sometimes you'll be excited to write.

My fiction class this semester is definitely giving me that push to write everyday. I've been trying anyway. over the summer I worked out in the woods all day, by the time I got home I was too exhausted to even move from my bed. It was super hard to write every day then. If I don't write, I try to read.
"You wanna make yourself useful?"
"Not particularly."

Reading is crucial to good writing!

Ever since I've started writing, I've begun to see that I learn a lot just by reading a good or bad novel. Just the other day I was reading something, but I couldn't enjoy the story because the dialogue was written terribly...I found myself re-writing the book in my head. On the other hand, I was reading this old story (1800's I think) called "Bichu the Jaguar", and it was REALLY good. I learned a lot from reading it.
