I kinda wrote one too. It is not as good as Xela's by far, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

While it may be short, it should suffice.
Dear SJ,
Shay and I sped out of Nox City in his truck. I don't know where we were going, but as long as it was far away from the Elites and that darned city, it was okay with me.
"So... where are we going?" I asked, staring out the window at the blur of scenery. The sun had set and night had taken over. Stars glittered high above, while the moon was so bright it lit up the world. Shay didn't even have to turn on his headlights.
"There's a place in the mountains that I call mine," he said, not daring to avert his eyes from the road.
"Oh," was all I said.
I wondered how far the mountains were from Nox City. Farther than my home back in my old town, that was for sure. Speaking of which... I thought about Mira, Mom, Dad... How were they?
And you know... Now that you mention it, the police never really came looking for me, did they? I was sure Mom probably called the authorities after I refused to tell her where I was. The FBI always has equipment that can trace a phone call, even a cell phone. So it really made me think....
The truck swerved violently to the left, jerking me out of my thoughts. Before I knew it, the windsheild had shattered. Shards of glass rained down on Shay and I, cutting the sensitive flesh on my wings and causing me to yelp.
I quickly opened the door and got out. Shay did the same after turning his truck off.
"Lux! Come look at this!" came his voice from the other side of the truck.
I ran over to him as fast as I could, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the creature lying in a puddle of blood in the middle of the road.
Shay glanced up and down the road; no sign of any other vehicles.
"This road is rarely ever used at night," he'd said earlier.
"Oh my dog..." I said, peering down at the animal.
It was a light brown speckled she-dog with long, dark green hair. She also had dark green wings that matched her eyes.
"Are you okay?" asked Shay when he saw that she'd stirred ever so slightly.
The stranger sputtered, blood spraying onto the asphalt from her parted jaws.
"F-fine," she stammered. "Owww..."
Her eyes drifted up until they locked with mine. It was a hollow, eerie look that sent chills chasing each other up and down my spine.
"Lux," she whispered.
"W-w-who are you?" It was my turn to stammer now.
"Gon," came her unsteady reply.
I shot Shay a confused look. He only shook his head, sighing and muttering something about "elementals."
"It means Earth," he said.
"Yes," Gon said, sounding slightly perkier. "And I've been looking all over for you, Lux."
