The past few moons had been stressful for the entire clan, but Applepaw could sense things where more stressful for the medicine cats. She sat at the back of the den where their nests where kept, her tail tightly wrapped around her paws. With snow covering the ground it was almost impossible to find any herbs, yet when they went out they always managed to gather something. Applepaw let out a small purr as she watched Ashfang and Twigstorm move about the den sorting herbs and getting rid of ones that where no longer good. They had informed Applepaw to just sit and wait until they where ready to head out to gather herbs. She didn't mind it to much as they had plenty of experience and if she where to help she would just make it even more chaotic. "I'm sorry Applepaw. I promise it's not always like this. Once we get done we will all go out. Just hold on a little longer." Twigstorm called over his shoulder, flashing his apprentice a reassuring smile. Applepaw just let out a small chuckle and gave him a small nod, understanding everything completely.

As time passed Applepaw moved from sitting to lying down in her nest, her eyes moving back and forth as she watched Ashfang and Twigstorm move about. A light misty fog slowly crept into the den causing Applepaw to sit up and tilt her head curiously. The other two medicine cats seemed unphased by it, as if they couldn't see what Applepaw was looking at. Out of the mist stepped a large stocky grayish blue tom with stars in his pelt. His hazel eyes looked down at Applepaw, something about his prescience made Applepaw feel safe. "Applepaw, thank you. For bring Twigstorm's light back." The tom meowed, his voice deep and full of wisdom. The way the starry cat spoke and looked, Applepaw could only think of one cat. "Stormcloud..." she meowed, the tom's name just rolling right off her tongue. Stormcloud smiled slightly and nodded before speaking once more. "Silent shadows wheel above. To divide the divided is to conquer all. Blood stains the roots and never shall it fade. Until fur and feathers run the lake red." Stormcloud meowed, taking a step back into the mist as he slowly faded away. Applepaw sat there confused, before jumping to her paws.

"Guys! I think the Dark Forest just gave us a prophecy... From Stormcloud!" She meowed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As soon as Stormcloud's name left Applepaw's mouth both Ashfang and Twigstorm dropped what they where doing and whirled around to face her. "What!?" Twigstorm meowed, swooping over and scooping Applepaw close to him. The small she-cat couldn't help but let out a meow of amusement before nodding. "Well I'm pretty sure it was him. Large stocky grayish blue tom with hazel eyes. He was so happy to see you doing so well Twigstorm." she purred. Twigstorm's eyes saddened for a moment before returning to their bright sparkling self. Rolling his eyes a bit Ashfang then gently separated the pair before speaking. "Please, tell us the prophecy Stormcloud sent us." Ashfang meowed. Applepaw gave a small nod and cleared her throat a bit. "Silent shadows wheel above. To divide the divided is to conquer all. Blood stains the roots and never shall it fade. Until fur and feathers run the lake red." she meowed. The three sat there exchanging looks among themselves confused about the strange prophecy that was delivered. The trio disused the prophecy for the whole day, even when they where out gathering herbs.

A New Era

Play Me While Reading
Don't forget to grab the tissues

After returning from his patrol, Hazestar found prey waiting for him at his den. He smiled, knowing that one of the apprentices was kind enough to take the time to set a piece off to the side for him. His clan had grown to be his life line... his family. Hazestar let out a small sigh as thoughts of his family entered his mind, saddening him for a bit. It had been rough since the death of his parents and separation from his siblings. It had been moons and slowly he had begun to give up hope on finding them, but something would always restore his hope, reminding him to keep looking. "Haze!!" A female voice cried out in joy, snapping the tom out of his thoughts. Turning to face to see who called his name, Hazestar was then tackled by two bodies, knocking him to the ground and lying below the two bodies. On top of him lied two familiar faces of two cats he could never forget, Lily and Viper. "Sup' bro?" A male voice meowed, smiling at Hazestar and gently poking his nose before climbing off him. Lily then scrambled off Hazestar and stood next to Viper, a large smile on her face as her sparkling eyes gazed at him.

Although it had been a long while since they last saw each other, Hazestar could never forget his litter mates. "I-I can't believe you guys are actually here... I've searched for so long." the gray tabby tom meowed, tears of happiness forming at the corners of his eyes. "And I thought Lilybriar was the baby." Viperfang teased, causing Lilybriar to gently nudge him in return. "Wait... Lilybriar? A clan name? You guys are from a clan?" Hazestar meowed curiously. "Yeah! When searching for you we came across this clan that took us in and gave us a home. Unforteionatly they have disbanned, leaving us homeless once again. We never gave up hope on you... We just... It was hard with out you Haze." Lilybriar meowed softly. "I understand. I was chosen to start this clan here. I, Hazestar would like to fully welcome you home to HazeClan." Hazestar meowed proudly, giving each of his litter mates a gently nuzzle. "Please. Feel free to explore. I am off to eat dinner." Hazetsar meowed, polity excusing himself from Lilybriar and Viperfang, the two cats giving him a small nod understanding how much stress was put on him as a leader.

In a way it had seemed like just yesterday that he was visited by two starry cat siblings, Arrowstrike and Ivywing. Back then Hazestar only remembered Ivywing touching his nose and feeling an agonizing pain rip through his body as he was granted his nine lives. However he was in such a daze he could never fully recall the events that happened that fateful night, until now during his final moments. It wasn't just Arrowstrike and Ivywing back then, but actually his parents and the two siblings. Each one giving him one life at a time one by one until finally his final life was given to him by his mother Sky. Both his parents then no longer looked frail and hungry, but healthy and happy. Since then Hazestar would see them every once in awhile in his dreams, happy to know they where no longer suffering, but now looking down upon HazeClan and guiding the clan from above. Hazetsar began to dig into his prey, unaware of what lied hidden inside until his body began to grow numb and unmovable. Unable to move, Hazestar looked at the half eaten prey before, unable to find anything but knew something was off. It wasn't long until Hazestar slipped into a deep sleep, his heart race slowing way down before finally coming to a complete stop.

Upon the end of his small flash back a single tear rolled down the tom's cheek, his eyes opening slightly to see a strong brown starry pelt standing in front of him. Before Hazestar stood Owlstorm, his once loyal and strong friend. Owlstorm smiled softly upon the leader, his eyes however full of sadness. "Hazestar... It's to soon... but it's time. I've come to guide you to the after life my friend." the tom meowed. Hazestar rose to his paws and stepped forward, pausing to look over his shoulders. Behind him lied his motionless body, no signs of life lingered in the den now. Sighing heavily Hazestar returned his attention to Owlstorm. "I-I can't Owlstorm. I have cats to watch over and guide. It won't be the same if I'm in the stars. I'm sorry Owlstorm, but your gonna have to return to the Dark Forest empty paw... Besides, I'd like to say goodbye to Lilybriar and Viperfang... It's a shame I didn't get to spend much time with them... I mean we just got reunited." Hazestar meowed, his voice cracking a bit. With a small shake of his head, the gray tabby got his emotions under control and gave one final nod to Owlstorm before fading away.

It wasn't long until Hazestar's spirit appeared in front of a black and white tom who was making their way back home. "Badgerstar." Hazestar meowed, smiling gently at the other leader before him. He had met the tom cat many times at gatherings, but only earlier today did the two toms decided to make their clans allies. "I know we only just saw each other... However..." the gray tabby meowed pausing for a brief moment. "However now... Now I have come to say good bye... Shadowripple will make sure to keep our ties strong. She's an excellent deputy and will lead HazeClan well. Take care my friend." Hazestar meowed, smiling as he vanished once more.

Hazestar's next stop was in ForestClan, to say goodbye to Applestar. ForestClan was his clan's first ally and what made Hazestar begin to understand the importance of bonds with other clans. If it hadn't been for Honeystar and ForestClan, HazeClan wouldn't be as kind hearted and helpful. They changed the way he looked at things, but never judged him for how their system worked and who they believed in. ForestClan was an all around a well respected clan that cats could rely on. The gray tabby let out a small chuckled, remembering how worried he was when Applestar took over, but he had no reason to. The cream tabby tom was doing well and leading ForestClan honorably like his predecessor had done. Not wanting to put it off any longer Hazestar appeared in front of Applestar, causing the cream tabby to jump slightly. Hazetsar just chuckled and gave Applestar a small smile. "Before you say anything... I know. It's too soon. However, Applestar you have come such a long way. You've made Honeystar proud. I'm proud. I'm sorry to say, but this is the end for me. Take good care of ForestClan and remember even though I'm gone, HazeClan always has ForestClan's back if needed. Good bye my friend." Hazestar meowed, gently touching noses with the other tom before disappearing into nothing. Where two stood now only one remained.

Hazestar stood in front of Redstar, not yet allowing himself to be seen by the other tom. This was his final good bye before he could start watching over young Cardinalpaw. This final one was going to be the hardest, the last heart wrenching stab to his emotions, the one that made him regret not telling Redstar how he truly felt before he died. With a shaky sigh Hazestar allowed his spirit to be seen by Redstar. Before the red tom could say a word Hazestar pressed his nose against the other tom, soaking in Redstar's touch one last touch. "Shhh..." he meowed softly, pulling away and gazing at the tom before him. "It's a shame... I never got to tell you how I truly felt Redstar." Hazestar meowed, his voice shaky, but full of love and emotion. "You where always the one... I never fully understood the way my heart fluttered around you... Not until a few moons ago. Just know it never bothered me that you where such a 'loving' tom." the gray tabby meowed, slightly chuckling at the word loving, hoping Redstar understood what he meant by that. "I'm so proud of you, Redstar... I-I couldn't have asked for a better ally, a friend, and a companion... I." Hazetsar meowed, his sentence breaking off at the end as his emotions hit him like a wave. Tears streamed down the tom's face as he looked at Redstar, his eyes sad yet full of love for the cat before him. "I love you." he meowed. Hazetsar slightly chuckled, giving his head a small shake. "Funny how it took me so long to tell you that. Just remember Redstar. I have always loved you and always will." he meowed, his voice echoing as he faded away.

Hazestar took time to linger in limbo for a bit, letting the tears he had shed in front of Redstar to stop before he went to visit Cardinalpaw. Redstar's good bye had been the hardest on Hazestar, and yet he had to push onward to tell Cardinalpaw that he would be watching over him and sweet little Ploverkit. With a heavy sigh Hazestar appeared in front of Cardinalpaw, starling the young apprentice. "Do not worry Cardinalpaw... For I have known you since you where a tiny kit. I do apologize that I never was able to make it back over, until my time was up. However I shall be here for you and Ploverkit. I'll always be watching over you. Just call out to me and I will appear." Hazetsar meowed, smiling proudly down upon Cardinalpaw and Ploverkit. Then finally with Hazestar's goodbyes done and his message to Cardinalpaw was said, the once strong powerful leader faded into thin air still smiling as he vanished.

---

It had been too quit that night, Hazestar had missed that night's patrol report. Shadowripple frowned a bit after she finished hearing how the last patrols went, concerned for Hazestar. The tabby tom never missed night patrol reports and with him clinging to his last life it was even far more concerning. The dark gray she-cat rose to her paws and padded quickly over to Hazestar's den and peered inside. "Hazestar?" she meowed, slowly padding into the den. There before her in his nest lied Hazestar. It had been some time since Shadowripple had truly seen a peaceful expression on his face and now it was there once again. However this time the peaceful looked seemed off, holding a dark secret behind it. Cautiously the she-cat padded forward and pressed her nose against the tabby's cheek. Hoping to find warmth, all she found was a still cold lifeless body. Shadowripple's green eyes widened in a mix of emotions a small cry escaping her lips. She was normally composed and level headed, but now she stood there a flood of emotions washing over her. Hazestar was fine that morning, but now he lied lifelessly in his nest. Anger, confusion, and sadness seemed to hit Shadowripple the hardest, the she-cat shook her head trying to grasp what had happened.

Giving a strong shake of her head and flinging a few water droplets away from her eyes, Shadowripple made her out of Hazestar's den and jumped up on to the High Rock. As she stood there gazing out across the camp her heart broke for her beloved clan. So many cats looked up to Hazestar, respected him and treated him as not a leader, but as a friend. Spotting Viperfang and Lilybriar not far off, Shadowripple just shook her head once more in sadness. Hazestar's litter-mates had finally been reunited with him after many moons of separation and yet now he was no longer here. Clearing her throat softly, Shadowripple then called for all cats to gather below the High Rock. "I." she began, gazing down at her clan mates as they looked up at her. "I have terrible news to report... Hazestar... Hazestar is dead." Shadowripple manged to get out. As soon as the words left her mouth it didn't take long for cats to break down, among them where Lilybriar and Viperfang. The duo sat close together a shock of disbelief on their faces as tears fell from their eyes. "I-I know we must grieve, but I want to say these words now while his spirit is still close... Although they had their differences they respected one another... Buzzardflight shall be my deputy... I shall head to the Ancestor tree now..." Shadowripple meowed, gingerly jumping down from the High Rock.

Shadowripple stood among her clan mates, her heart aching for their lose. However she had no time to waste knowing that it was very important to make it the Ancestor Tree soon. She would grieve alone that night when she returned to sit vigil, but now was the time for her clan mates to grieve, she needed to remain strong for them. The dark gray she-cat made her way to the camp entrance, taking once last look at her clan before disappearing out of the camp. Shadowripple made her way carefully to the Ancestor Tree knowing if she rushed it could end up disastrous, unaware of the danger that lurked in the shadows behind her. The hidden figured watched as Shadowripple made her way along the path to the Ancestor Tree, their green eyes watching the dark gray she-cat move about. A smirked formed on their lips, watching their 'prey' get closer and closer to the Ancestor Tree, waiting for the perfect time to take their 'prey' down.

With a heavy sigh Shadowripple stepped up to the Ancestor Tree, her green eyes firmly locked on the amber pool of sap. One lick of it and she would be lulled into a peacefully sleep and whisked away to gain her nine lives. Many others would quickly take a small lick of the sap, but not Shadowripple, she hesitated. "Am I really ready... Hazestar... I could never lead the clan like you..." she meowed, hanging her head a bit, tears welding up in the corners of her eyes. "Tsk. How weak." a voice behind Shadowripple meowed. "You know. I never approved of you becoming deputy. Now hear you are getting ready to become leader. Your not strong enough Shadowripple." The cat meowed. Shadowripple turned to face the voice, her eyes widening in shock as she recognized that cat before her. Before she could speak, the figure pounced and the pair fell into a hissing ball of fur and claws. It wasn't long until the other cat got the upper paw and swiftly slashes their paw across Shadowripple's throat. The dark gray she-cat stumbled back, blood poring from her opened wound as she staggered back and fell to the ground. "Buzzardflight..." Shadowripple chocked out, using her last breath before fading away.

Upon Shadowripple's last breath a booming voice echoed in Buzzardflight's ears. "A prophecy.. Please." Buzzardflight scoffed, rolling his eyes and making his way back to camp. He knew with what he had done and the prophecy being about him, the ancestors wouldn't give him his nine lives. However no cat needed to know that, and thus x would be the down fall of HazeClan until two heros came to light. Buzzardflight wasn't worried though, as he had a plan to make sure nothing would happen. He would rein over the clan for many many moons to come, not hesitating to kill a cat to put them in her place. Smirking to himself, he entered camp and quickly jumped on the High Rock. "Shadowripple has fallen and now I Buzzardstar shall lead us into greatness!" He meowed. The clan stood in the spots, shocked by the events that where beginning to unfold before them.

Upon hearing Buzzardflight's announcement many cats gasped in shock, unable to grasp the fact of what was going on. Shadowripple had left in full health, but now turned up dead. Letting out an annoyed hissed, one brave soul stepped forward from the crowd. "You lie!" the gray tabby hissed, his ears pinned back to his head. Normally this quiet tom kept to himself, but after the lose of his beloved mate Cloverpool, Wrenfeather had grown a bit more stern. He was determined to keep his kits alive by any means necessary and now with someone threatening that he had had enough. "Many of us know how you truly felt about Hazestar and how you felt about him making Shadowripple deputy! You. You killed her didn't you!?" Wrenfeather yowled, glaring at multicolored tom before him. A blanket of silence fell over the clan as Wrenfeather spoke, their eyes wide in shock and some mouths a gap.

In a blink of an eye Buzzardstar leaped down from his position on the high rock and came nose to nose with Wrenfeather. "You? Of all cats, dare to challenge me Wrenfeather. Please!" the tom snorted, narrowing his eyes. A cruel smile crept across Buzzaardstar's face and with in one swift fluid motion the tom slashed open Wrenfeather's throat. Many gasps echoed through out the clan, but not a single cat moved as they where frozen by both shock and fear. The gray tabby took a few fumbling steps backwards before collapsing only a few feet away from Buzzardstar. "If any of you dare try to help him, you yourself will end up like him. Do not cross me!" Buzzardstar hissed, turning and disappearing into the leader's den. Silence falling over the clan once more, the faint shallow gasping breaths from Wrenfeather seeming to echo loudly through the camp.

Near by stood to young apprentices, tears streaming down their faces as they stood in shock watching as their father took his last breaths. The two huddled close together, trying to grasp the fact of what had just happened. Not to long ago had they lost their mother, and now their father. Almondpaw sniffled and hiccup, trying to steady his breathing but could only cry and gather short breaths. Next to him stood Warblerpaw, he himself sniffling as well but did his best to steady his breathing. Seeing the two crying apprentices, broke Bearclaw's heart, sad to see two of her closes friends' kits now orphans. Unable to bare the sigh any longer, the fluffy brown she-cat padded over to them, gently guiding them to the nursery. "Come sweet-hearts... Auntie Bearclaw is here..." she meowed softly, lying down and having the two brothers lie next to her. Bearclaw had promised to look after the pair in case anything had happened to Cloverpool and Wrenfeather and vise versa if anything happened to herself. The she-cat sang a lullaby softly to the two heart broken apprentices, eventually lulling them into a deep sleep.

With Buzzardflight, now Buzzardstar in control of HazeClan things began to slowly go down hill. The older tom made it clear he wasn't gonna put up with 'traitors'. He had demonstrated that when Wrenfeather spoke out against him, quickly silencing the gray tom and leaving Warblerpaw and Almondpaw as orphans. However now instead of quickly ending lives Buzzardstar had a more cruel way of killing cats. He declared it to be a more fitting and cruel punishment for traitors. During his rein, Buzzardstar wasted no time in selecting few cats to be his 'elite' force. That force consisting of Adderstrike, Marigoldthistle, Lynxheart, Blizzardstorm and Crowstrike. They where treated nicer then the rest of the clan with a few stipulations like Badgerstrike and his family, but everyone else where deemed unworthy and looked down upon. Although he didn't approve of half-clan cats, Buzzardflight made arrangements to have Alpineblossom to carry Swiftheart's kits of RainClan. He wanted heirs to 'his' clan and knew young Alpineblssom was blinded by lover and would do anything Buzzardstar asked of her.

Unable to take his cruel and hypercritical comments a small group of cats banded together to attempt to overthrow Buzzardstar. Lead by Juniperclaw, the small group made their way to Buzzardstar's den one night in hopes to catch the older tom off guard. The group saw no cat around, assuming their assassination would go smoothly. With a flick of her tail Juniperclaw lead the group in to the den only to be pinned down by Buzzardstar's 'elite' force. "Did you really think I would leave myself unguarded so easily Juniperlclaw? You where such a skilled warrior and yet you made such a simple mistake. Now it'll coast you not only your life, but the lives of these 'traitors' you lead." The tom meowed, letting out a small chuckle of amusement. "What are you gonna do? Kill us like you killed Wrenfeather?" Juniperclaw hissed, her eyes locking with Buzzardstar's. "Oh please. Your group and you won't get off that easyly. No you guys will suffer by starving to death. A slow and painful death for traitors like you." Buzzadrstar spat.

With a flick of his tail, Buzzardstar's elite force rounded up Juniperclaw, Nightshadow, Cobweb, Lichenpelt, and Ferretcress. "Take them to the Elder's den. Make sure to have guards inside and out so they can't escape. As for you Blizzardstorm, you may take a nest in the warrior's den until the prisoners die off." The calico tom meowed. The elder tom gave a small nod before exiting the leader's den with the other elite force members and prisoners. Buzzardstar made his way to his nest, settling down and smirking to himself. "It's no longer your clan." he spat, his eyes closing gently. "It's mine now and there's nothing you can do Hazestar." Buzzardstar meowed softly before drifting off to sleep.

---

Early the next morning with things growing tense and Buzzardstar becoming even more unpredictable Jayfur could no longer just sit by and watch things unfold. With so many cat having relationships and helping other clans out he knew their lives where in danger. Determined to do something about it Jayfur spoke to his siblings about it, deciding that the mountains up near GroveClan would be the best place to hide. Although they loved Jayfur, both Batwing and Raveneyes declined to go with him, promising to stay back at camp and hold down the fort while he and Marshpool and the others where gone. The four cats jumped into action rounding up Bearclaw, Turtledove, Dappledwillow, Pineshade, Inkfire, Heronstrike, Starlingflight, and Panthertuft. Raveneyes and Batwing watched as the group began to leave, Marshpool and Jayfur being the last two to go. At the last minute Panthertuft decided to stay behind, letting her mother and best friend go to safety while she stayed back to help Batwing and Raven eyes. The group made their way north, making sure to roll in mud, leaves, and herbs to hide their scent from future patrols.

Once they where sure that Jayfur and the others had made it to their safe spot, the three warriors made their way back to find Buzzardstar and his elite force waiting for them. "It seems like every cat takes me for a fool. Thinking I'm not going to notice a large group of cats are missing from my clan. Now I know you three had something to do with it as you guys seem very fond of half-clan cats. They taint our blood lines yet here you are letting it happen. Now either tell me where these cats went and you walk away with a few cuts and bruises or one of you are going to end up like that traitor Wrenfeather." Buzzardstar hissed, his eyes glowing with anger. With a single flick of his tail, Buzzardstar's elite force surrounded the three cats trapping them. Panthertuft let out hiss her fluffy fur standing up on end as she prepared for the unknown. Knowing there was no escape possible unless the group's hide out was given away or one of the three paying the price with their life, Raveneyes stepped forward. Batwing and Panthertuft both protested, but quickly fell silent when Raveneyes gazed at the two she-cats and gave a small shake of his head. "Then it looks like you'll have to kill me." Raveneyes meowed, holding his head and tail high. Although deep down he was scared to die, Raveneyes knew that his death wouldn't be in vein. The black and white tom knew one day his death would be worth it. Upon hearing Raveneyes' remark, Buzzardstar nagrly lunged at the tom, pinning him down and looking him in the eyes. "If it's death you want it's death you will get!" the calico yowled, slashing Raveneyes' throat wide open. Buzzardstar leaped off the black and white tom and padded away, flicking his tail to have his elite force let Panthertuft and Batwing go. "Let that be a lesson to the two of you. Now Marigoldthistle and the rest of my elite force, take this traitor's body and dump it. Let him die alone, and Batwing, feel free to bury that traitor by yourself once he takes his last breath" Buzzardstar hissed.

Upon showing himself to Cardinalpaw and explaining to the young tom, Hazestar disappeared from sight once again. However he remained close, padding through QuickClan camp only to end up right next to Redstar. The gray tabby tom sat next to Redstar, his heart aching for the red tom beside him. He desperately wanted to show himself to Redstar, tell him how he would always be there if he called, but Hazestar knew it would only cause the tom more pain then anything. He had to let Redstar live his life, force him to get over losing him. For now Hazestar would do what he could by watching over Redstar's kits, offering them guidance when they needed it. With a small sigh Hazestar pressed himself close to Redstar, knowing the other tom had no clue he was there. "I'm sorry to have left you Redstar... Just know even though you can't see me I'm always here..." Hazetsar meowed, knowing he was only talking to himself.

Later that day after spending time close to Redstar, the gray tabby padded out and found his way over to the nursery. Their he spotted sweet Ploverkit and protective brother Cardinalpaw. Letting out a purr, Hazestar padded in sitting down next to the pair as he watched the kits move about. Although he had given up on resting in peace, to him Hazestar saw this as more of restful peacefulness. He was able to look over the ones he loved although he was no longer in the real world. Soon things began to take a quick turn, when Privetfang and Zinniebelly went into labor. Sensing something was off, Hazestar remained watching as the tragic events unfolded before him. Once everything had settled back down Hazestar frowned, grieving for QuickClan and the loss of one of their queens and a kit. With a heavy heart Hazestar watched as more events began to unfold in QuickClan, powerless to do anything now.

---

Paranoid even more then the past few moons, Buzzardstar decided to show everyone who was still in charge. He had passed back and forth in his den for sometime until finally he stepped out of his den. Taking one look around the camp the calico tom shook his head and jumped up onto the High Rock. There he stood, feeling powerful and in control, a crooked smile forming on the tom's face as he stood there. Letting out a yowl to gather the clan, he waited until everyone old enough had gathered below. Buzzardstar scanned the crowd of cats, picking out five cats that he didn't deem worthy anymore. They hadn't done anything outstanding the past few moons nor seem interested in growing the clan anymore. With a flick of his tail, Buzzardstar's elite force where up front and center waiting for his instructions. The rest of the clan stood there in confusion and worry as they had no clue what the calico tom planned next.

"Lynxheart. Come." Buzzadrstar instructed, motioning for the fluffy tom to join him for a brief moment. With a small nod of his head, the tom joined Buzzardstar on the High Rock. The pair exchanged a few whispers before Lynxheart gave a small nod of their head and joining the rest of the elite force down on the ground once more. Once back down among the rest of the small group below the High Rock, Lynxheart told the remaining cats what Buzzardstar had informed him of. Each cat gave a small nod before splitting off and rounding up Cloudripple, Feathermist, Fernclover, Meadowhawk, and Claybranch. Once the five cats had been shoved up front and below the HighRock, Buzzardstar joined his elite force on the ground, facing the five cats. "Now you may not think you have done nothing wrong, but you couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm tired of this clan having cat's who are either giving half of their full potential or aren't even trying to make the clan thrive with kits. And with that..." Buzzardstar meowed, a crooked smile forming on the calico tom's face before he quickly lashed out and ripped open Feathermist's throat. The white she-cat quickly fell to the ground, blood pooling out around her and staining her bright white fur a dark red. Many cats began to panic and cry, chaos ripping through the clan wave after wave. Letting out an annoyed hiss Buzzardstar turned towards the panicking group. "Enough! Or you'll starve and end up like these pitiful cats!" he yowled, quickly shutting up the majority of the clan. With a small nod Buzzardstar flicked his tail, allowing his elite force to kill the other four cats as the clan looked on.

Once Buzzardstar retired to his den for the day, the calico tom lied in his nest and smiled to himself before slipping into a light nap for the day. The tom then opened his eyes to find himself in the Dark Forest face to face with a familiar gray striped tom facing him. With a heavy sigh Buzzardstar rose to his paws and glared at the cat before him. "What now Hazestar." the tom meowed, putting a lot of hate into saying the tom's name. Hazestar just shook his, frowning at Buzzardstar before stepping close and glaring at Buzzardstar. "Your ruining HazeClan... Killing innocent cats for no reason." the gray tabby meowed. Buzzardstar went to speak only to have Hazestar glare at him more and move even close towards him. "Your down fall is coming Buzzardstar. When that day comes I'll be the one to take you to the Forgotten Forest." Hazetsar hissed, before both him and the dream vanished. Once awake Buzzardstar lied in his nest alone, Hazestar's last words haunting him.

---

Later that day during sun high, Lightpaw slipped out of camp to get some air. She had just become an apprentice and was now facing the cruel hard life under the rein of Buzzardstar. The tom had just had five cats killed in cold blood, because they weren't 'good' for HazeClan any more. The young she-cat passed back and forth her thoughts racing as she wondered when the day would come for when she wasn't 'good' for HazeClan anymore. Slowly but surely the more she thought about it the more Lightpaw began to worry until finally she began to have a panic attack. Confused and scared, Lightpaw couldn't walk straight and ended up collapsing in the shade of a bush. There she lied, shaking as tears streamed down her face, the darkness of emotions closing in around her. "N-no..." She meowed, shaking ehr head and closing her eyes tightly, trying to hide from the darkness that had began to cloud her mind.

"Lightpaw." a familiar voice meowed, before a warm body wrapped up around her. "Lightpaw... It's me... Hornetpaw." the tom meowed, his voice soft and soothing. "I'm here for you. It's okay. It's okay." He purred, gently brushing Lightpaw's side with his tail. Hornetpaw waited for a while until slowly Lightpaw's shaking stopped. Finally Lightpaw opened her eyes and peered up into Horentpaw's eyes. The two apprentice lied there together, their eyes locked on one another. They had grown up together, forming a close bond since their early days. Now here they lied so close together, Hornetpaw's scent mixing with her's Lightpaw became intoxicated and infatuated with the tom before her. He had been nothing but kind and sweet towards her and now he was being her saving grace in a dark moment. Sensing Lightpaw had began to feel better, Hornetpaw smiled, gently touching his nose to Lightpaw's and purring. "I'm glad your feeling better now Lightpaw." Hornetpaw purred. Lightpaw lied there stunned, her heart racing a mile a minute as the tom showed such strong affection towards her.

Still unaware of the whereabouts of a paw-full of his clan, Buzzardstar had grown even more paranoid than before. Although Rookwatcher had joined only a few moons back the calico tom found stability and comfort in the other tom. It didn't take long until the two toms bonded quickly and soon after became mates. The toms adopted both Cloudykit and Zipperkit along with the Alpineblossom's two kits she just recently had. He was proud of his little family, but also scared cats might take the chance to over throw him by using them against him. "I'll show them." Buzzardstar hissed, his tail lashing back and forth as he paced around his den. Rookwatcher had left that morning to be with Alpineblossom, awaiting the arrival of the queen's kits along with spending time with Cloudykit and Zipperkit. Upon thinking over everything one last time, Buzzardstar gave a small nod and left his den. Upon exiting his den, the calico tom was met by both Marigoldthistle and Lynxheart, two of his more trusted elite force members. Buzzardstar whispered to the both of them, before all three cats gave a small nod and Marigoldthistle and Lynxheart took off.

Buzzardstar made his way up to the top of the High Rock, perched there at the top as he waited for his elite force to round up the cats he had instructed them to gather. Before him the tom smirked as he watched the group of cats below gather and stand confused below the High Rock. "Now you may be wondering why I had you gather here and the rest of the clan stay put. Well..." Buzzardstar began, his smirking forming into a sinister grin. Below him stood fourteen confused cats, panic slowly beginning to sink in. "I've decided that you all are no longer needed. Thus, Lynxheart you know what to do." Buzzardstar meowed, flicking his tail. With that Lynxheart lunged at a cowering Pigeonwhisper, pinning the young warrior to the ground and slashing open her throat. A few yowls from the other cats erupted as Buzzardstar's elite force began to attack the others. Although there where many, the elite force some how managed to over power the group of cats, taking each cat down one by one. It wasn't long until the bodies of Gullecho, Browntiger, Rainsong, Mossystone, Littleflame, Tumblecloud, Milkfur, Monarchwing, Quailtuft, Brackengaze, and Aspencreek lied motionless on the ground around Pigeonwhisper's lifeless body.

Only two remained left standing, both heavily wounded and struggling to stand. By now Buzzardstar jumped down to join his group, smiling at what they had done, praising them as he passed by. "Now you two may wounder why your left still standing. It's because I wanted to be the one to end your lives. Ashfang." Buzzardstar meowed, pausing after saying the older medicine cat's name. "I never did like you. Filling cats' heads with hope. Other then that the only reason you stayed around was to to make sure Twigstorm had been fully trained and help with Applepaw's training. Now there doing well with out you and those two week cats wouldn't dare stand up against me like you." the tom meowed, stepping forward and slashing Ashfang's throat. The large and proud gray tom crumbled to the ground in a heap, his last breath escaping his mouth shortly after hitting the ground. "Then there was one." Buzzardstar meowed, turning to face the black and white queen. "B-Buzzardstar, but why. I.. I gave you kits. I love you." the she-cat meowed, her eyes full of fear as she gazed upon the calico tom. "The thing is, I never did." Buzzardstar laughed, stepping even closer to the she-cat. "Alpineblossom. You where used my dear. You gave me two more heirs and thus you are no longer needed. One of the other queens will raise them in your place." And with Buzzardstar's final words to the queen, he pinned the she-cat down and slashed open her throat. "Clean this up." Buzzardstar meowed, flicking his tail before heading towards the nursery. There he was greeted by his love Rookwatcher, the two toms exchanging a tender moment. "Come meet our two new kits. Although young both Zipperkit and Cloudykit have taken a quick liking to the two new kits." Rookwatcher purred.

The Final Battle

With all the most recent deaths and Buzzardstar growing more and more paranoid Panthertuft had decided enough was enough. After the murders of the moon before the fluffy she-cat rounded up a few more brave cats that held more of a personal grudge against the crazed calico leader before slipping out of camp to join up with Jayfur and his group. Although many cats where ready to fight to take back HazeClan, Panthertuft only recruited those who where mostly driven by revenge. Almost all the cats in the group had lost someone dear to them thanks to Buzzardstar and thus they where more fired up than most. With the cover night, Panthertuft lead her group out safely, making sure not to raise any suspicion from Buzzardstar or his lackeys.

With Batwing in the lead and Panthertuft covering the rear, the group made it safety to Jayfur and the others' hideout. Upon entering the make shift camp they had built, the warriors rested up for the battle that was coming. Today was the day they would rise up and take back HazeClan. Panthertuft let out a heavy sigh as she rested, unable to sleep with everything just right around the corner. "I know your worried, but we will win this." a stripped cat meowed from behind Panthertuft. Lifting her head to see who was speaking, the fluffy gray she-cat smiled softly at the familiar sight of Starlingflight. "He's gotten a few more followers though..." Panthertuft meowed, letting out a frustrated sigh. "Yes, but their the younger warriors who don't know any better. However that won't stop any one of us from killing if we have too." Starlingflight meowed. Panthertfut sat up, starring at her best friend in aw, surprised to see the once timid tom to be actually composed and determined. "Starlingflight..." Panthertuft whispered. "I know... Me being so forward like this, but I'm tired of us living in fear. Who knows who will die next. It's time we fight for our clan." He stated, holding his head high as he spoke.

As night faded into day, the sun slowly began to rise higher and higher into the sky. When the sun reached its highest peak in the sky Panthrtuft, Starlingflight, and Jayfur met up to discuss their plans. "The time has come... We'll leave the queens here and send a patrol to fetch them after the battle. If... If we do not succeed I have spoken to GroveClan's leader and they have promised to give them shelter. However I have faith that we can take back our clan back and make it great again." Jayfur meowed. With a determined nod both Panthertuft and Starlingflight rose to their paws and stood alongside Jayfur. "Today we take back HazeClan!" Panthertuft yowled, railing up the rebellion party. Each cat let out a determined yowl in return before Panthertuft, Starlingflight, and Jayfur lead them on ward.

---

Yowls ripped through the air as mass bodies of fur collided together. "You dare defy me Panthertuft!? You really think you can win with these mouse brains!?" Buzzardstar yowled, lashing out and scrapping Batwing across the muzzle. Soon after Lynxheart jumped in, pinning the black and white female down. The two large cats wrestled one another until Batwing manged to slip away and disappear into the crowd of cats. "Look around you Buzzardstar. Your cats are falling already!" Panthertuft hissed, making her way between cats and heading straight for the calico tom. By then Batwing had conquered Lynxheart, ending the large tom's life before jumping back into battle. Blizzardstorm had also fallen to the paws of Warblercall and Almodnfall, the pair of brothers teaming up to take down the angry elder. Buzzardstar stepped back, shoving a young Clifftalon in front of him before slipping away. "Coward!" Panthertuft called out, dodging the young warrior's claws. Clifftalon and Panthertuft began to fight, the large stocky warrior trying to use his size over Panthertuft.

With Panthertuft occupied with Clifftalon, Buzzardflight made his way to an unsuspecting Sheeppelt, quickly taking the young she-cat's life with one fell swoop. Leaving the she-cat to bleed out, the calico leader once again disappeared into the mass of fur and furry, using his troop to defend himself. Upon witnessing Buzzardstar kill her daughter, Marigoldthistle struggled to escape Sootpelt and Turtledove's clutches, running to her daughter's side. However by the time Marigoldthistle made it over to Sheeppelt, the young she-cat had already slipped away. Enraged by grief, Marigoldthistle took off after Buzzardstar challenging him by herself. Blinded by rage the orange she-cat fell at the paws of Buzzardstar, the calico tom's white fur stand with blood.

Back on the main battlefield more of Buzzardstar's followers had fallen along with another one of Panthertuft's followers. Slowly but surely Buzzardstar's force had began to dwindle. With Adderstrike and Rookwatcher detained and Clifftalon and Amberdrop fallen, only Buzzardstar and Crowstrike remained. "You have no one left. It's just you and Crowstrike. Your surrounded." Panthertuft meowed, glaring at the two cats before her. Letting out an annoyed hissed, Buzzardstar shoved Crowstrike in front to great a distraction. Letting out a yowl, Crowstrike tried to put up a fight, only to be quickly ended by Inkfire. With a small nod from Jayfur and Starlingflight, Panthertuft took off after Buzzardstar followed by Viperfang. As the pair chased after Buzzardstar they found their way down by the lake. Unable to out run any farther, the calico tom paused by the bank of the lake, trying to catch his breath. "Give it up Buzzardstar. The only places you can go is towards us or into the lake." Panthertuft hissed, slowly moving forward to close the gap between her and Buzzardstar. Viperfang stayed back making sure if the calico tom tried to dart he would be there to take him down.

Buzzardstar let out an annoyed hiss, stepping back a bit farther into the water behind him. Panthertuft was right, he was trapped and had no where left to go. With a few more steps forward Panthertuft had closed enough space between them to lunge at the tom. Upon colliding with the tom the two cats wrestled a bit before Panthertfut was able to pin Buzzardflight down. With water and sand soaking their fur the two cats glared at one another with out speaking a word for some time. "It's over Buzzardstar. Your end is now." Panthertuft meowed, forcing the tom's head underwater. Buzzardflight struggled for some time, until finally he stopped struggling.

---

When Buzzardstar opened his eyes he was greeted by darkness and one familiar face; Hazestar. The two toms stood in darkness, standing only a cliff like area with Buzzardstar being the one close to the edge. "I told you I'd be the one to take you to the Forgotten Forest." Hazetsar meowed, smirking a bit. The gray tabby felt that justice had finally been served and that he could feel more at ease. Hazestar would be able to watch over his clan and allies, knowing Buzzardflight was no longer able to harm any cat. "It's funny how things work out Buzzardflight. I hope you suffer and rot for eternity." Hazestar meowed, his voice more dark and ominous then usual. The older calico tom glared at Hazestar, lashing out at the tom before him only to have his paws phase through the starry figure. The calico tom went to speak, but found for some reason could not speak, his voice seeming to have vanished. The gray tabby tom chuckled, rolling his eyes a bit before stepping even closer to Buzzardflight. "You can't harm anyone anymore. In the Forgotten Forest you can not speak. Doomed to wonder the woods unable to speak and alone forever. A fitting punishment for a cruel cat like yourself." he meowed, gently pushing the calico tom backwards. Buzzardflight stumbled backwards, his paws slipping over the edge. He grasped at the edge trying to hold on, but felt a gravity pull pulling him down towards the dark fading forest below. Unable to hold on any longer the calico tom lost grip and fell into the Forgotten Forest. Hazestar stood at the edge of the cliff looking down at Buzzardflight and watched the tom disappear in to the woods below.

---

With the battle finally over and only a few casualties on her side, Panthertuft sat below the High Rock with Jayfur and Starlingflight. "It's finally over... Now who will lead HazeClan?" The she-cat meowed, exchanging looks with her two most trusted friends. The two toms next to her gave looked at one another before looking back at Panthertuft and shrugged. "Since Buzzardstar never took a deputy I'm sure some of the senior warriors will get together and discuss who will be leading us now." Starlingflight meowed. Jayfur gave a small nod, agreeing with the other tom's remark. With a heavy sigh Panthertuft gave a small nod, knowing both toms where right. "Your right... Twigstorm, Applepaw, Turtledove, Sootpelt, Lilybrair, and Viperfang know what their doing. Who ever they decide is for the good of the clan." she meowed, her eyes wondering back to the group of six cats across the way.

On the other side of camp a small group of senior warriors along with the clan's medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice. The group of six cats sat together in silence until young Applepaw spoke up. "We can't just keep sitting here in silence... I know it's hard, but we need a leader. Someone who is willing to step up and make HazeClan great again." The she-cat meowed. Although still fairly young, the apprentice had grown quit a bit since her first day in the clan. She had found her calling and voice and was ready to help get her clan back to its powerful great self. Shocked by his apprentice's outspoken words Twigstorm sat there with his mouth slightly a gap in awe. Finally letting out a purr Twigstorm gave a small nod before speaking. "Applepaw is right. We need to discuss our options. I know there are plenty of senior warriors that could do a good job, but lets take the prophecy into consideration. Now with the hardships over we can agree that Buzzardstar was the threat the prophecy warned us about. Panthertuft, Starlingflight, and Jayfur being the savors it talked about. However with Jayfur's family in GroveClan I see him passing on any sort of leadership role. He's a great cat, but I think I'd have to put my vote towards Panthertuft. She's lead the majority of this rise up. I believe she should be our leader." Twigstorm meowed. Each cat exchanged looks with one another before each also giving a small nod. "My baby is gonna lead us back to greatness." Turtledove purred, her eyes shinning with pride.

Upon discussing a bit longer Sootpelt rose from his spot and gave the group one last nod before padding over to the High Rock. The fluffy tom gave Panthertuft, Starlingflight, and Jayfur a small nod before slowly making his way up to the High Rock. Once at the top, the fluffy tom perched at the edge and called the clan out from their dens, waiting for every cat to settle down before speaking. "So after talking for awhile Twigstorm, Applepaw, Turtledove, Lilybriar, Viperfang, and myself have decided on who our clan's next leader shall be. This cat has grown so much from when they where just a kit and now look at what she has done. Panthertuft, and many others stepped up and took back our clan. We have decided that Panthertuft shall lead HazeClan into a new and brighter era for us." Sootpelt meowed."Although once apart of Buzzardstar's group, they did surrender before the battle. Both Adderstrike and Rookwatcher did not cause harm to anyone and where just acting to stay alive. If any cat dares harm them or treat them differently they will be punished. However with out further a do, let's welcome our new leader and send her on her way to the Ancestor Tree." The wise old tom meowed. Upon finishing his speech the tom made his way down back to the ground and gave Panthertuft a small nod and smile, the clan chanting Panthstar echoing in his ears.

---

Earlier that day Panthertuft had been voted by six cats to become the clan's next leader. No cat objected to her becoming leader when Sootpelt had made the announcement that day. With a gulp, the fluffy dark colored she-cat stepped forward towards the Ancestor Tree, full of excitement but also nervous. "There's a reason no cat objected to you becoming our leader Panthertuft. You have done well over the past moons and lead us greatness once again. Don't be nervous." Starlingflight purred, gently nudging his friend forward. With a shaky sigh Panthertuft gave a small nod and stepped forward, entering the hollowed tree. Before her flowed a small waterfall of bright amber sap into a small trench in the ground. Stepping forward, the she-cat bent down and took a small lap at the sap before lying down in front of the small trench and closed her eyes.

When she awoke Panthertuft found her self surrounded by many starry figures, many of them looking familiar while others must have been before her time. However out of all the cats around her a total of nine cats sat closer to her, each one waiting patiently for her to get her bearings. Before her sat nine cats that had impacted her life greatly, now they would do so once again by granting her the nine lives of a leader. "It's good to see you again Panthertuft. You have grown up to be such a wonderful she-cat." Quailtuft meowed, stepping forward first. Panthertuft was quick to close the gap between her and Quailtuft, excited to be reunited with her mentor.

Quailtuft had been a goofy she-cat and helped Panthertuft become the strong cat she was today. It was thanks to the round quirky orange she-cat that Panthertuft was able to lighten up a bit. "With this life I give you guidance. May you use it to guide young minds to shape HazeClan into an even better clan than before." the orange she-cat meowed, gently touching her nose to Panthertuft's forehead. A soon as Quailtuft's nose touched her forehead, Panthertuft felt a shock wave of pain rip through her body.

Next one to step forward was Wrenfeather, Warblercall and Almondfall's father. He had died standing up against Buzzardstar, the one to fully spark the fire inside Panthertuft to take the old calico leader down. "I give you the gift of loyalty. Use it to always know where your heart lies." the gray tabby meowed, gently touching his nose to Panthertuft's forehead. Once again pain ripped through Panthertuft's body, but she remained strong, digging her claws into the ground to stay focused.

Followed by Wrenfeather was his mate Cloverpool, a shy yet sweet she-cat who died a moon before her kits became apprentices. The sweet she-cat gave a small nod and smile before speaking. "Panthertuft, with this life I give you the gift of justice. May you use it to always know what is right and wrong." She meowed softly, gently touching the she-cat's forehead. This time the pain that ripped through her body was more intense, causing Panthertuft to stumble back a few steps.

Fourth in line was one of the clan's well known queens, Cloudripple. A fluffy white she-cat who had adopted many kits in need. She was sadly one of the first to fall victim to Buzzardstar. "With this life I grant you protection. May you use it like a mother who fiercely protects her kits." Cloudrippled purred, gently touching Panthertuft's forehead. Like the lives before pain ripped through her body, this one feeling more like a mother's strong love for her kits.

Next was Sheeppelt, a quirky she-cat who had join Panthertuft's group in the fight against Buzzardstar. She had sadly died young, but held no grudge against. "With this life I give you adventure. May you use it to venture far and wide in search for greatness." She purred, touching Panthertuft's forehead. With Sheeppelt's touch Panthertuft felt almost no pain this time around.

Followed by Sheeppelt was Frostsky, one of Cloudripple's many adopted kits. She had also been apart of Panthertuft's group before she too passed away during the battle. "I grant your this life with the gift of strength. May you use it to always have the strength through every situation." With yet another touch to her forehead, pain once again ripped through out her body. Gritting her teeth Panthertuft looked on, knowing there where only three more to go. The pain would be worth it in the end.

"Before I give you your seventh life will you pass on a message to Jayfur, Marshpool, and Batwing for me please." Raveneyes spoke. With a small nod Panthertuft then gave a small smile. "Of course Raveneyes." she meowed. "Let them know that I'm watching over them and to stay strong. Also tell them if they do anything stupid to have them end up here way before they should I'll personally shred them to pieces." The black and white tom meowed. Letting out a small laugh Panthertuft gave a small nod. "I will." she spoke. Giving her a small nod back Raveneyes stepped forward to give her his life. "With this life I give you friendship. May you use it to form strong bonds with many cats all around." he meowed softly. Her seventh life ripped through her body followed by a soft warm feeling.

Now almost to the end a small fluffy dilute calico she-cat stepped forward. Her green eyes sparkling as she came closer to Panthertuft. "Softpaw..." Panthertuft choked out, her eyes beginning to water. Many memories came rushing back to Panthertuft, overwhelming the dark fluffy she-cat with emotions. "Panthertuft..." Softpaw purred, her eyes full of love and sorrow. "I'm so proud of you... Look at you. You have come so far." the calico she-cat spoke. Panthertuft stepped forward, embracing Softpaw close to her as she reminiscing about the good old days. The young she-cat had been Panthertuft's first friend and first love. Sadly she had been taken away from the real world at a very young age. "Panthertuft... I love you. With this life I give you love. May you use it to love your clan and to one day find love again." Softpaw purred. The young apprentice's life ripped through Panthertuft like a strong forceful wave followed by a calm soothing warm flood. "I... I love you too." Panthertuft meowed, watching Softpaw walk away.

With only one life left and one cat left, Hazestar stepped forward with a gentle smile on his face. "Finally, with this last life I grant you leadership. May you use it well to lead others and the clan into a new era."the gray tabby meowed, touching Panthertuft's forehead with his nose. Agonizing pain ripped through the fluffy she-cat's body, sending her down for a brief moment before eventually rising back to her paws. "I hail you by your new name, Pantherstar. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and the Dark Forest grants you the guardianship of HazeClan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity. And finally... Thank you. Thank you for getting HazeClan back to its great and powerful self." Hazestar meowed. Behind him all of HazeClan's ancestors began to chant Pantherstar.

Letting out an annoyed hissed the white tom paced back and forth. He had one more skill to learn, but for some reason during his training sessions he kept failing. With everything slowly getting back to normal, Skull hoped that this time around he would be able to learn his last skill before being able to become a warrior. He watched his siblings with envy as they where sent out on patrols, each one of them becoming warriors long before he did. "These couple of moons I will succeed." Skull meowed to himself. With a small pep talk to himself the white tom trotted over to his mentor Tigerleap. "Let's go. I'm tired of messing up. Today I will learn the skills I need and become a warrior." Skull meowed, almost demanding his mentor to take him out training. Letting out a laugh, Tigerleap rose to his paws and gave a small nod. "Well some cat is determined to learn today. Well alright then Skull, lets get going." Tigerleap meowed.

---

In the nursery a small situation was going down, Oceansplash had decided to go back to being a warriot leaving her two kits alone. Both Kestrelkit and Frogtkit had just turned four moons and although they where becoming more lively, they still needed their mother. "Listen to me Turtledove. I don't want them. Take to Snakespots. He wants them. Besdies, he's old news. I'm done with him." Oceansplash hissed, glaring at the older warrior. The fluffy she-cat sat across from Oceansplash, her large fluffy tail wrapped around the queen's two kits. Both kits where crying, wanting their mother who clearly decided she didn't want them. The two kits couldn't understand why their mother didn't love them. "But Oceansplash... These kits love you and need you. You are their mother. Snakespots loves you. Your gonna break his poor heart." Turtledove meowed, giving both Kestrelkit and Frogtkit a comforting lick on the ears. "I don't care. I'm done." Oceansplash hissed, turning and padding out of the nursery. Turtledove frowned, gazing down at the two kits, her heart breaking fro them. She knew Oceansplash was difficult and kind of a player, but in the end Turtledove had hoped Snakespots and these kits would change her for the better.

With a heavy hear Turtledove spent the majority of the day comforting and taking care of Oceansplah's two kits. She had decided to take them to QuickClan later that evening when the sun wasn't beating down so harshly. "W-why doesn't mommy love us..." Frogktit sniffled, burying his face in Turtledove's fluffy pelt. Kestrelkit, being the first born tried to comfort her younger brother, snuggling up to him and grooming him. "Oh... My little stars... I..." Turtledove meowed, unable to answer the kit's question. Many times had she wished that Kesterelkit and Frogkit where hers, knowing she would have spoiled them and loved them like they deserved. "Don't worry though... When I take you to see your farther he'll be thrilled. He loves you and although you are not mine, I love you." She purred.

When the evening finally came around Turtledove crouched down, allowing Kestrelkit to climb up on her back and hold on. Turtledove rose to her paws and bent down, picking up Frogkit in her mouth. She had decided to make the journey to QuickClan on her own, knowing she'd be fine. Besides if she did end up in any trouble, the older she-cat had made the travel so many times she had come across many safe hide outs if needed. Although the journey was long the she-cat and two kits eventually made it safely to QuickClan. Once inside the camp, Turtledove set both Kestrelkit and Frogtkit down before introducing the two kits to Cyanslash and Falconflight. "These two toms are Cyanslash and Falconflight. My two dearest friends. They also are the parents of four of my beautiful kits. Their also friend's with your dad. I'm sure he'll be very excited to finally meet you two." Turtledove purred, exchanging an affectionate nuzzle with both Cyanslash and Flaconflight.
