"I am not perfect, nobody is. I know that nobody can be perfect at what they do and sometimes you mess up, everyone has messed up in their life or said the wrong thing. But I always try to be as perfect as I can be. I try to be nice to everyone, and sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. I am definitely outgoing, since I have had a good experience with new things, I met my best friends trying new things. I also started dancing because I tried something new and dancing is the best thing in my life right now. I like to think that I am funny, I'm not mean when I make jokes, I just find something funny out of thin air I guess. Also, I am actually very smart. I got all A's in school and I was top of the class, I would never admit that because I really don't want to be known as the smart girl that everyone goes to for answers to homework. I am very weird, I will say anything. If I think It I will say It and I am not afraid to say it either, I sometimes don't think before I speak and it gets me into trouble. I will say what I mean and sometimes not think about the consequences that my words might have. I am sarcastic and sometimes people start to hate me for it but I know that my real friends know that I am joking. I laugh at things that happened yesterday and live carefree. But I can sometimes be judgmental, I don't try to. I just look at them and see their imperfections and judge them on them. Obviously I don't really have any imperfections. I am as close to perfect as anyone can get. If I give you a few pointers on how to be better and more like me what's wrong with that?"

Hello darling.. they call me Karma.

Karma is a four year old lioness in her prime, she is strong and athletic.. able to take down a smaller zebra by herself. Karma was never really too interesting in joining a pride mostly because of her short temper and willingness to fight over almost anything. Karma, to the few lions that know her is kind of a force to be reckoned with. Other lions tend to stay away from her once they see the nasty scar on her back leg, she got it from fighting with a water buffalo... it hit her with his horn and cut open her leg. Of course, Karma wasn't one to give up and eventually to the animal down.. after a long fight. At the end she was exhausted and hurt and couldn't even work up the strength to eat. After a few hours rest she ate and then was on her way again never really skipping a beat in her life. Most lions assume it's some sort of scar from battling with other lions. Everyone tends to think the worst of her,even though she can have a soft side. Yeah she can go from nuzzling and watching over someone's cubs to killing another lion for trying to hurt her but that doesn't make her bad it just means that she knows how to survive and nothing will get in the way of her surviving. Karma is not the hugest lioness ever and definitely not the smallest she is about forty-eight inches tall and around two hundred and thirty pounds.

Alyssa and Renegade are both two broken souls that eventually fixed eachother. At fourteen years old Alyssa had already been in and out of 10 foster homes. The 11th one was the one she landed in permanently. She landed with Terri and Mike Olseburn they took her in and gave her a reason to keep going ; Renegade. Renegade back then was a two year old thoroughbred stud colt. The people around the barn called him "terror" "worthless" anything that they thought would discourage Alyssa enough to give him back to her foster parents. Some people might have though "wow they are crazy giving this fourteen year old girl who knows nothing about horses this hot headed thoroughbred colt." And they were right, but that didn't stop Alyssa from trying. The first thing she did was got him gelded, then she got him to trust her.. It only took what seemed like a few thousand carrots. Everything after that was easy.. by the time he was a three year old and she was fifteen he was just starting to be ridden. Terri and Mike only really saw Alyssa at nights whens he got back from the barn and Alyssa finally felt a since of permanence in her life. She is now sixteen and her still-at-times-hot-headed-thoroughbred, Renegade, is now four. Alyssa proved everyone at the barn wrong but never rubbed it in, but that didn't stop her from scheduling to have the ring to herself when the girls who teased her were in the other rings... or maybe that was just a coincidence. Alyssa is still somewhat of an intermediate rider and Renegade is still more or less "a little better than green broke". He knows all the cues and everything gut he will just sometimes choose.. not to do them.

Some people might describe Alyssa as a "hipster". But in reality she just wears what she thinks will look good together, she believes that buying an outfit together is too mainstream and you could just mis match and look just as good. Alyssa is independent, but not so much so that you never see her. She would prefer to work alone rather than in a group so that all of her ideas can be utilized instead of having four different kinds of ideas and mismatching them together. As you already know, Alyssa is sixteen... was born on the fourth of July, she is kind of sick of her birthday theme always being the fourth of July but since it has been consistent it almost feels ritual. Alyssa doesn't know barely anything about her birth parents and doesn't like to talk about them. Despite her past she remains a rather cheery person. All in all the is a girl you would want as a friend, loyal, caring and understanding but can also does have a bit of a mean side. She can hold a grudge but eventually she will get over it, she is a forgiving person.

Renegade is as you already know, a four year old thoroughbred. He was registered at one point and sold as a promising yearling but rough handling and constant fear made him scared of anything that moved. A piece of straw could move towards him and he would be afraid. He was tried to race as a two year old but was too afraid of everything, he sold in a claiming race and didn't work out and so was sold again... this time to slaughter. However he didn't make it to the slaughterhouse which is the fate for so many other horses... A lovely woman named Terri came and brought him to a huge stable, from there a younger girl.. named Alyssa came and has taken care of him ever since.
