Chapter Five ~ A simple Miracle

When I woke up again, still felt awful. I didn't even think about eating, I knew that anything I swallowed would come back up in a minute or so. My skin was still as pale as a ghost, but I mist've cooled down by a degree or two.

After a few minutes, I stood up. My stomach churned with my movement but I tried to ignore it. It was actually pretty hard to think about it, for all I could picture were those two people from the dream. Why couldn't it have been a different girl? I thought, knowing that I had never seen someone as beautiful as the girl from my haunting dream.

After a few minutes, I began to walk. The forest actually seemed to be thinning out a bit, there weren't so many trees and it was much more of a clear path.

After about three hours, I saw it. A house, Inhad actually crossed the hundreds of miles of woods and reached the next town. I wish I knew how far I had walked, I could be in a whole different state!

Suddenly, the door swung open. A girl dressed in heavy snow clothes walked outside. I jumped behind a rock, and landed with a loud thud into the snow.

"Hello?" The girl said in a gentle voice. I heard snow crunching under her feet as she walked towards me.

"Hai!" I said, and I popped up all the way to my chest.

"Wholy shi - (Your scheduled program has been delayed by two seconds) The girl shouted and fell back into the snow. "Who are you?" She said and stood back up, brushing the snow off of her hat.

That was when I saw her face.

It was her.

The girl from my dream.

"Hey, um... I kinda think we're not supposed to be together." I said, hoping I didn't sound too dorky. "Why is that?" She responded and placed her hat back on her head. "Don't you need help, aren't you freezing?" She continued. Not only was this girl super hot, she was probably the nicest person I've ever met.

"Oh... Um... -" "No, it's obvious you're cold, it's the middle of February and you're naked. IM cold, and I'm wearing like five layers of clothing. Why don't you come inside, my family is getting valentines day gifts fir my younger sister, my older brother went too, so it would only be you, I and Nugget." "Nugget?" "Oh, he's my cat." I nodded my head in response.

"Why are you so shy... Oh yeah." The girl said, her cheeks then turned a bit pinkish in color. "Don't worry, I also have a little brother who's a bit... Odd. I see "it" all the time." She said, I guess she wasn't too disturbed by my appearance, while I really didn't want to show myself.

"Come on, I'll try not to look." The girl said and turned her head, then started walking back towards the door.

I stepped out from behind the rock, but quickly pressed my hands in front of my anatomy when she looked back towards me. I then walked over to the door.

As soon as I walked in through that door, it all changed. The house was warm, a small fire blazed in a fire pit by the wall and I could smell a lot of deserts, probably for valentines day.

Valentines Day!

That's February 14th!

My birthday was really soon.

"Hey, is it 2011 or 2012? I lost track after about a year and a half." The girls jaw dropped. "You mean... You've been loving in the woods for around two years... And you're still alive!?" I nodded my head and sat down on the rug by the fire. Suddenly, I felt the heat from my sickness rush through my body and I quickly moved away from the couch. I felt myself begin sweating again and my body heating up.

"It's 2012." The girl responded. "Hey, what's wrong?" She said and walked over to me. I didn't respond, I was panting like a dog, except for my toungue wasn't sticking out. "I'll be right back." She said.

A few minutes later, she returned with a towel you used when you get out of the shower. When she handed it to me and I wrapped it arond myself, I figured out that she had dunked it into cold water. "Does that feel better?" She asked, and I nodded my head. "That's good." She then stood up and walked over into a small kitchen. Once she was there, she opened up a light wooden cabinet. She came back a few seconds later with a thermometer. "Put this under your toungue and hold it until it beeps. "She said and handed it to me.

I stuck the thermometer under my toungue and waited for it to beep,which took about two or three seconds. I then took it out from under my toungue.

I was about to look at the numbers on the tiny box, but all I could see was a red glow before the girl grabbed it from me. She stared at the little red glowing screen and frowned. "Is something wrong?" I asked. "Hey, why don't you come upstairs, it's a lot cooler, no fires. "Okay." I responded, and then followed her upstairs.

"Hey, um, why don't you get some clothes on?" The girl said. "My brothers stuff will probably fit you, he's a bit on the short side and is only a grade ahead of us." "Okay." I said. She then walked out of the room.

A minute later, she returned with a pair of blue jeans, a pair of underwear and a white t shirt. "Sorry if you don't like plain colors, we don't "usually" have guests that come in naked. I noddd my head and put everything on.

I couldn't believe it.

I was finally wearing SOMETHING, after bing completely naked for like two and a half years. "Um, thanks." I said. "Hey, er... Wait! Um, I never got your name." I said, looking at the girl. "Oh, yeah, I'm Amber, you?" "Dane." "Isn't that a last name? Like there area bunch of people and movie stars with the last name Danes." "Nope, that's my name. She smiled.

I read it, the dream was pretty scary, I actually thought it was the real thing!
