But I do want any crit on this story idea if you guys don't mind

So, the basic plot is that dinosaurs never died out, only the huge ones (t-rex, brachiosaurus ect) died out. So people and dinos live together in a modern/Jurassic period time where they have tech and use dinos on an everday basis. The MC is a girl who is training a young veliociraptor to be a racing canadate.
But there I'm stuck, I don't want the main plot to be about winning the race, but I shy away from using any of the other drama
so
any ideas?

That sounds like an awesome story! I would totally read that.

Well, most stories are nothing without conflict, but that doesn't always mean drama. I have some conflict suggestions, unless you already have a conflict. I know this is a little cliche, but how about a rival who isn't against cheating to win the race?

I'm not sure, but if your computer is able to use bluetooth you must find a little program for that. But I have bad experience with bluetooth and computer. Mine never found other devices -.-
If your computer is quite new you should have a Microsoft Account and therefore be able to use OneDrive.
You should get access to OneDrive over your browser on your iPad too. So it should be working to upload/download files from there.

Haha new. Ha ha no. It's at least umm, five? years old. Not sure.
I'm thinking I'll just have to plug my IPad into it and go on from there. :D

@Free, sounds awesome!
Maybe you can make her not have a good relationship with her velociraptor and end up losing the race, but gets a friendship with the dinosaur. I dunno

I'm miserable right now. I haven't written anything for a whole week and seem to be either out of ideas or out of muse to write any ideas. I'm going through serious withdrawal and feel like bashing my head against a wall.

I need help. Like serious help. Can somebody, somehow, inspire me, please?

Hmm, have you seen the scene challenges or one shot challenges. They might give you some ideas.

Yeah, I have. It helps with nothing, sadly.

Probably going to try and persuade my mom to walk on the beach with me. Last time we did that, we were both inspired to create a novel together (something we've always talked about doing). Of course, my muse of that died two days after it came. Maybe it'll return on the beach walk.

Not going to expect it, though. Most of the time the thing that first inspired me no longer inspires me the second time around.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. It's appreciated.

To me music is always a great inspiration.
Not sure how familiar you are with it, but there is a genre called "Trailer Music", it's often called "Epic Music" too.
If you just search on youtube for "Epic Mix" for example you will find lists of playlists and mixes (often over several hours) filled with really great music. It's always freaking awesome and helps me a lot to get in mood to write something fantasy-like.

      Other than that: Nature.
Go out, take a walk. In the forest. Or make a small trip (like take a train and get to a place you can reach in one hour) and walk around there. Sit down in a cafe and just watch the people. What I do like (since I'm sitting a lot in trains) is to think of what the people I see there do, what they work as, about their families - this can me a source of inspiration too.

Reading a book and/or watch a movie may help too^^

(woah, there's a mod in my thread i feel special :O *gets out the good plates*)

I agree with nan, music has always been incredibly helpful aspect of inspiration to me
whenever I was suffering with writer's block. I often find myself scrolling through youtube
trying to find songs that match what I'm writing. my writing tends to have a very depressing
but inspiring aspect to it, so I often find myself listening to songs like this this etc. there
are plenty more but some of the videos are more explicit/mature than I feel obligated to
      share on cs e3e

like I said, if you're writing a more sad part of your book, I wouldn't listen to incredibly upbeat
or joyous music, because I find it messes up my train of thought, if that makes any sense at
      all cx

Thanks for the advice. I often use music to inspire me, and listened to some songs that have inspired me in the past last night. Still didn't work, but I'll be sure to try out the trailer music and see what that does for me.

The nature tip seems really interesting. Mom isn't in the mood to go walking on the beach today, sadly, as it is 86 degrees out there. Might be able to convince her to do it later in the day. I could go take a walk down to the park all by myself, that's the closest bit of nature we have around here. Makes me miss the house we used to live in that was in the middle of nowhere. The park is beautiful, though, might make a trip down there after it's cooled down a bit and I'm done with my chores, LOL. Ooh, people watching, I love doing that. Though I don't do it often, as I don't want to look like a creeper, LOL.

Yeah, I've contemplated reading a book or watching a movie. It just makes it a little harder for me, because if I do get inspired by the material, then I have to spend most of the inspiration period making sure I'm not being a total copycat, LOL.

Thanks for the advice, too, echo. I, personally, find it easy to write ad scenes with upbeat music and vice-versa. Though, I guess that depends on your definition of upbeat. While I'm not in the mood to write a sad scene, I'll keep your suggestion in mind. :)

What do you mean by that? Sorry, I'm a complete derp and have no idea what that's supposed to mean.
