Roll says... 7: Visit Thimble.
Eh, what the heck. You trot to Thimble's house. You don't bother looking for her - you just crawl underneath the porch and lay down in the least dusty area. Hardly a minute of contemplation passes before you fall asleep.
As you partially expected, Thimble is staring at you when you wake up.
"When did you get here?" she asks.
"Early this morning." You yawn. "What time is it now?"
"It's...late afternoon, I guess." She dismissively waves her tail before crouching eagerly. "I heard there was a fight over you!"
You stiffen. "I...suppose that's accurate."
"Well, what happened?" Her eyes sparkle. "Did you get to see something cool?"
"It wasn't cool," you say. Your voice is stern. "It was pointless and horrible."
"Ooh, then it must've been good." Thimble is practically dancing with how fast she's shuffling her feet. "Well, tell me what happened!"
You don't have the energy to keep up with her right now. You sit up and stretch. "It's not something to celebrate. Charlie killed a cat for challenging her authority."
You can't believe how disappointed Thimble looks. "I thought it was something like a full-scale war," she says. "Like, ten cats on each side, and you proving yourself in battle. Like all the stories."
You give her a funny look. "He had a group of cats, but they didn't get involved."
"Oh, boo!" Thimble says loudly. "Why didn't they charge in, alight with the fury of war, or-"
"In any case," you interrupt bluntly. "It was a complete waste of life and I don't feel like talking about it. In fact, I'd rather do literally anything than talk about it."
"Oh." Thimble frowns petulantly. "Well, then, I'll think of someth- OH!" She jumps in place out of excitement. "I have an idea! Two ideas, actually. How about this: help me hunt!"
Five reasons run through your head immediately to not do that.
It must show up on your face, because the little molly holds out a paw. "Hear me out. There's a bird that's been driving me crazy flying around my yard because he knows I can't get him, and he ruins my mom's plants."
"Your mother has plants?"
"Yep! And they're very pretty, and this stupid bird tears them up looking for bugs." She grins. "If he's gone, mom won't have to keep replacing them and laying out bird seed everywhere!"
You consider this. "What's your second idea?"
"My second idea is that we go out on the town!" Before you can even react, she quickly adds, "Think about it. You have complete immunity now; you can go anywhere. And I never get to see this place past my yard. Mom's always too worried for me, but if I'm with you, then I have complete freedom to go anywhere I like!"
"And get yourself killed over something stupid," you say dryly.
"Sure, but you can show me what not to do, right?" Thimble curls her tail eagerly. "What do you think, wanna do either?"
(OOC: Sometimes, players will be presented with choices that seem insignificant, but will have long term lasting effects. In order to prevent accidental mess-ups through ignorance, these choices will be marked by being italicized, as well as bolded. It is recommended to consider your options and their potential effects carefully before choosing one. For this first option, the choices will only have positive effects later on in the story, so don't stress yourselves too much.)
Teach Thimble to hunt.
Go downtown.
