Kia looked at Justin, he had raised one eyebrow.
"What?" he said.
Kia rolled her eyes, she grabbed Dara's wrist and showed it to Justin. He glanced at the howling wolf symbol and his eyes widened,
"You found another were-wolf........." He whispered. He Looked around, Kia knew that he was checking for their parents, then he motioned for them to come in his room. Kia and Dara stood in the middle of Justin's messy room,
"Uh... Sorry for the mess........." He said.
Kia cleared the clothes off his bed and and sat down with Dara.
"So your a were-wolf?" Asked Dara.
Justin nodded, "I was born on the day of a lunar eclipse, like Kia." he said. "you do know that you need to keep this a secret, right?" He asked.
Dara pursed her lips and gave a curt nod. "I know what can happen....." They all were silent for a few moments.
Then Kia said "Hey Dara, how about I invite Lauren over and you meet her?"
Dara smiled "That would be great!"
They went to Kia's room, which is a big improvement compared to Justin's room. Dara sat down on a beanbag chair, and fiddled with a strand of her hair. Kia opened her cell phone and called Lauren,
"Hello?" Said Lauren
"Hi, It's Kia"
"Watsup?" asked Lauren
"Do you want to come over? I want to introduce you to someone" Said Kia
"Sure, I'll be right there"
"Bye"
"see ya!"
Kia hung up and turned to Dara. Who was now picking at a loose piece of twine on her skirt.
"Are you sure it's ok to tell Lauren?" She whispered.
Kia smiled "Of course, she kept my secret for years, she'll keep yours"

Kia sat in a beanbag chair, sipping soda and chatting with her friends.
"I can't believe your a were-wolf!" whispered Lauren excitedly to Dara.
Dara smiled "I know, isn't it cool"
Kia laughed and said in a very official voice "You are now officially friends with two were-wolves!"
They all laughed at this and Lauren threw a pillow at Kia.
"Now, lets get down to business, Who has a date for the dance tomorrow?" She asked
Dara blushed a bit "Austin asked me...."
"Luckyyyyyyyy!!" cried out Kia "No one asked me!"
"I think Robby might ask me. He's been staring at me" said Lauren
"Creepy......... but okay!" Laughed Kia

Kia got home from another boring day of school, she tossed her backpack to one side then ran upstairs. She glanced at her watch, three hours till the dance, that's plenty of time. She showered, dried her hair, then began to shift through her closet. As she searched she was muttering
"How about this? Naw...."
"Why do I own this?"
"This is Justin's! Whats it doing here?"
"No.... Just.... No"
"To ugly..."
"Why do I have so many pieces of Justin's clothing in here?!"
Kia tossed another one of Justin's shirts over her shoulder. Her mother was very scatter-brained sometimes. After a bit more searching, She found the right outfit. It was a loose white shirt with sleeves that reached her elbows. A long, pale blue skirt, with a silver bird silhouette. And a flower the color of her skirt for her hair. She put on the clothes, her back facing the mirror. When she finished, she closed her eyes and faced the mirror. She drew in a gasp when she opened her eyes, she was beautiful. Kia blinked several times, she had never been this beautiful............. Not in the fifteen years of her life. She smiled and walked with light, happy, steps down the stairs. Her mother looked up from her work, "Oh Kia!" She breathed. Just then, Justin thundered down the stairs, "Careful Justin! Your dad's working!" Said Kia's mother. Justin looked up and shrugged, but walked a bit quieter. When he saw Kia he smirked. "Big improvement." He said, Kia glared at him. They went to the garage and Kia got into the passenger's seat of Justin's car. Justin drove them to the dance and they walked to the Cafeteria. The school dances are awesome, colorful lights flashed on the walls, and the latest music blared from the amps. Kia rose to her tippy-toes and looked for Lauren's or Dara's blond hair in the crowd of people. Then she saw them, standing next to the punch bowl. She rushed over to them, "Hi guys!" She said, They turned and faced her, Lauren's jaw dropped in a gape, while Dara just stood wide-eyed.
"Oh my gosh..........." whispered Lauren.
"You're so pretty!" Cried Dara.
Kia smiled "Aren't you gonna dance with Austin?" She asked Dara.
"Yeah, he's just taking a break." Said Dara, rolling her eyes.
Then Austin motioned to Dara, "Oh gotta go!" She said, with a excited hop.
Kia watched as Dara ran off. She chatted with Lauren for a few minutes then a voice boomed on the loud speakers:
"Time to slow things down a bit..."
Then a slower song came on,
"The slow dance!" Yipped Lauren.
Kia smiled but she knew that no one would ask her.
A boy came up to Lauren, "You wanna dance?" He asked her.
Lauren nodded, glanced at Kia, then went off to dance with the boy. Kia stood alone at the punch table, taking small sips of her punch. Then someone tapped her on the shoulder, Kia turned around and nearly fainted, it was Jay. She looked at him in surprise,
"Do you want to dance?" he asked with a smile.
Kia froze for a few moments, then whispered: "Sure...."
She rested her arms on his shoulders and he placed his hands on her waist, and the swayed from side to side. Kia looked into his deep hazel eyes, they were so gentle. She gave a shy smile, and he smiled back. "I heard it's gonna be a nice full moon tonight." he murmured. "Really?" She murmured dreamily. A full moon that will be nice, Wait. A FULL MOON! Kia's eyes snapped open in terror, she tore herself from Jay's gasp and darted to the window "Kia? What's wrong?" He called out after her. Kia gasped, the sun was almost completely gone. She whipped around to find Jay standing behind her, "Whats wrong?" he asked, looking worried. Kia fumbled over her words. "I-I- I have to go!" She ran to the doors and shoved them open. She ran to the forest, I have get away!
Kia heard Jay behind her "Kia! Where are you going." Kia ran faster and darted into the forest. Thorns tore at her skirt and shirt, Kia felt the change coming, the full moon is the night when she has to be a wolf. She could hear Jay calling her, but she didn't stop. I can't morph now! he's to close, I... have to..... resist Kia kept running, but soon it was too much. Kia fell to her knees, breathing heavily. "No! I can't change.... not now!" She groaned. Kia Doubled over in pain, What?! The change isn't supposed to be painful! Everything seemed to be happening at once. Ears, Nose, tail, claws, muzzle. The change was coming to fast, Kia knew that she had resisted for too long. A painful tingling ran up her body as fur grew in, Kia resisted the urge to scream, tears of pain streamed down her cheeks. Another wave of pain washed over her, but then eased away. Kia was a full wolf, But the change had gotten rid of every once of her strength. She trembled, her breathing coming fast and shallow. Then she heard a shaky voice: "K-Kia?" She turned and gasped, it was Jay.
