I still have no idea what happened yesterday. Like, Arianna and Kris fought. They almost killed each other, meaning murder would have happened on school grounds. But most importantly, why were Zavier and Scarlette not partnered?
(Yes, I know, I have my priorities straight.)
I managed, though, to hold my curiosity until today. Since I knew Scarlette wouldn't be particularly receptive to talking during class, I had to wait for a gap between periods, wherein I scrambled to the Outcast HQ and waited. Around ten minutes passed before Zavier walked in, alone. Though he seemed to be in a bad mood, he quickly hid it upon noticing my presence.
"Hi, Z!" -Me
"Hey, Thalia." -Zavier
"So, yesterday-" -Me
"Is this about Scarlette? Not much to say; we managed to have a thirty-second argument." -Zavier
"... How?" -Me
"I happen to be the master of arguing."
I chuckled at his mildly sheepish expression, then paused, hoping he didn't find that offensive. He didn't, of course. Or if he did, he didn't show it. He laughed with me instead, all remnants of awkwardness gone. I am so charming.
We stopped short, however, as the door opened and Kris entered. He tossed his scythe roughly onto the ground next to the others, taking a seat opposite us. Needless to say, I was surprised. He'd never bothered coming until now - I wasn't sure why, but I assumed it was because he thought of us as below him, somehow.
Silence descended upon the room, and I decided to speak.
"Apples-" -Me
-then Arianna entered, with the same mildness as she had on the first day, and a sense of ironic grace to her. Although her hair was in disarray, only barely held together by her taut headband, and her cloak was crumpled, her demeanour had not changed. Her head was held high, and her step gentle, almost deliberate.
Why, exactly, she would be so elegant, I have no idea. The
"Hey, you two. I was hoping I'd find you here." -Rose
"What's a Popular doing in the Outcast HQ?" -Me
"I'm the ruler of the school. I can go where I want to go." -Rose
"But this is our space!" -Me
"Hang on, I, like, have something I'd like to show you. To tell you how much I really care."
She dug into her bag (which she was totally carrying this whole time, despite no mention having been made of it), pulling out a sheet of paper and handing it to me with a half-lidded gaze.
"This is a picture of all the damns I give." -Rose
"... It's blank." -Me
"Exactly. Now then, Kris, Arianna. What was up with yesterday's fight?" -Rose
"We were sparring. We got carried away. There's little to say." -Arianna
"I take that to mean you want to get expelled?" -Rose
"Is that a threat?" -Arianna
"Uh, yeah it is? What, did you think we don't have school rules? That we just run around doing what we feel like? *pause* Actually, I do do that. But you can't." -Rose
"I suggest you join Kris. I've heard he is on a quest to become a hated tyrant, and surely you would be able to help with that. Already you have partially succeeded." -Arianna
"As if I would ever willingly stand near you for more than five seconds." -Kris
"That's exactly what you're doing now." -Rose
"No." -Kris
"Anyway, don't change the subject. I was asking you about yesterday. Answer me." -Rose
"... You are quite possibly the most eloquent person I have ever met." -???
"Hey, wait, Khairul?" -Me
He had been peeking his head into the door, and he withdrew upon noticing me. I watched as he almost skipped away, his tailtip disappearing behind the wall, wondering why he was so happy. I mean, the past two times I saw him, he was all emo and stuff.
I diverted my attention back to Rose and the rest, mid-conversation. Kris was firing off sarcastic remarks, Zavier was looking like he really needed some popcorn, and Arianna was sipping from a water
"Yeah, take a guess at it, why don't you." -Kris
"Hm... Arianna seemed oddly eager to see you (shush, yes, I know that, despite not even being there, because it's convenient) when she found out you were at the gym, which implies she was trying to stop you from working out for whatever reason, the both of you attempted to kill each other, and you clearly and openly hate each other." -Rose
She paused for a few moments.
"She's your ex-girlfriend?" -Rose
It was at that moment that Arianna choked on her water. Zavier and I rushed to help her, but she waved us off.
"That was nowhere near the truth." -Kris
"Are you sure? 'Cause I totally ship it." -Rose
"Do you people frequently try to kill your loved ones in this place?" -Kris
"Well, no, but we do try to kill those we used to love." -Rose
*wheeze* "You have weird practices here..." -Arianna
"Pfft. Are you kidding me? I have a device in my pocket that can access thousands of pieces of knowledge, images, and text. Everything that is meant to be seen can be seen. It can communicate over metres; miles, even. I use it to play Summoners' War." -Zavier
"Well, yes, but you are an idiot."
A knock on the door, and another dog entered. On her head was a little, tiny, adorable blue creature-thing. I instantly rushed towards her, nearly cracking her skull as I stared at the thing. The dog herself was knocked back by the force of what was basically a pounce, and she shrieked in alarm.

"OH MY GOSH THAT IS ADORABLE" -Me
O_o "Woah there, Tha. Calm down." -Zavier
"I totally am already calm but that is so cute I must have it." -Me
"... Please get away from me..." -???
Realising I was acting kinda crazy, I backed off, though I didn't take my eyes off the blue thing standing on her head. Rose finally took notice, sliding in front of me.
"Oh my gosh, Thalia. You can't do that, especially not to a Popular." -Rose
"It's fine... Am I in the wrong room?" -???
"Yeah, you are. Populars Headquarters is upstairs. Take a left turn, third door." -Rose
"You're a Popular?" -Me
"Yes. My name's Elven. Why?" -???
"Since you are, logic leads me to believe that I should hate you." -Me
"... Seriously? You hate me, and because of that, you decide to judge people based on what I think of them?" -Rose
"Well, yeah. It makes perfect sense." -Me
"I'm... just going to leave now."
And she edged away, gently closing the door with a small [I]click[I]. A hush ensued, in which we just stood, sat and stared. From a window, we could see most of what was happening outside - mostly people walking past. Nerds and Jocks, Emos and Populars, just going about their day-to-day lives. Zavier broke the silence after some time.
"Uh, hey, hate to ruin this moment and all, but where'd Kris go? And Arianna?" -Zavier
"... Crap."
(Yes, I know, I have my priorities straight.)

idk. Did I portray Elven right?
