My form is nearly done. All itneeds is personality and history, which should be typed in tonight if nothing unexpected comes up. It's on Page 2, by the way. C:

sophia rosetti
❝ you said i'm arresting, you said i had heat

    it starts with a picture ;
    sophia rosetti is an enigma. at nineteen years old, she still doesn't know where she belongs or what she wants to do with herself. coming from an italian-american heritage, she has the thick, glossy hair of her father and the sharp brown eyes of her mother. the mellow italian accent that she picked up from her childhood in sicily is rapidly disappearing from her speech, but it is attractive and sophia knows it. during the third month of her senior year at her highschool, in an epiphany-like moment, sophia realized that what she really wanted to do was go back to europe and work for an architecture firm in denmark, though that was something more easily said than done. she'd been working towards a medical education ever since she memorized her multiplication tables, and it had certainly paid off - she'd already been promised several scholarships to local universities where she could practice the sciences, and hopefully get into medical school by her second year. in the end, she was unable to reach a firm decision and reluctantly enrolled in a bio-med program of a university six hours away from home.

    i run a mount to meet you ;
    in terms of personality, sophia is as convoluted as they get. she likes things simple and straight-forward, with no tricks or surprises, and while her brain can compute things in seconds, she's unorganized and can easily lose her cool under stress. nevertheless, in highschool, she was one of the academic powerhouses - a nerd, to put it more simply - but was friends with some of the most socially influential students of the school. her reluctance to break rules didn't exactly help build friendships with some of the rowdier individuals in her friend group, though, and she was quickly distinguished as a chronic goody-two-shoes (aka another person to be disregarded). while sophia has no lack of fire - she doesn't like holding back in arguments - there's something else to be said in terms of self-confidence. she cannot make decisions without questioning herself first, and even then it is hard for her to come to a conclusion. this also ties in with her studying habits; she likes being walked through difficult problems or theories step-by-step, to make sure that everything is perfectly clear to her. in terms of social habits, this personality quirk of hers makes it easy for other people to affect her opinion or course of action.

    the only thing that her indecisiveness prevented her from doing was playing sports. not many expected sophia, the all-around bookworm to be an avid soccer player - but ever since she was introduced to the sport at the tender age of 7, she was hooked. in fact, it's the only sport that she can play without seriously injuring herself and probably everybody else within a meter radius of her; although her skill in net-wall games is passable, she absolutely cannot play racquet sports, unless she wants to smack people in the face. sophia also enjoyed a two years of basketball when she was in grade 9 and 10, but quit once the school tournaments began to clash with her extracurricular soccer practices.

    she's always honest when it counts and trusts others more than she trusts herself, but that's how sophia rosetti was brought up and that's how she'll stay. though sophia can't say she doesn't like a liar (she's told enough white lies to write her own novel), she can say that she doesn't like it when people are over-manipulative. and it's true - while she can stand the zealous jocks, the crazy partiers, the rule-breakers and the preppy, giggling girls that make up her circle of friends, she will never abide the schemers or the bullies. in the company of such people, she will be nothing less than contemptuous.

    when i knew the storm had come ;
    sophia's closest friends have also been her family. although she doesn't have any siblings, her parents have always been supportive of her and her decisions. sophia's mother, annika mccowan, who grew up in miami, florida for the greater part of her life, is bright-eyed but sharp-tongued, with a talent for siphoning secrets out of anybody. though annika can hold on to pieces of gossip like there's no tomorrow, she has very bad reasoning skills and isn't very responsible. the things that sophia loves about her mother are her laughs and jokes, as lame as they are. sophia says that her mother has the sort of personality that can relax the tension in a room immediately, and with her bright blue eyes and dimples, annika's smiles are prettier than anything.

    david rosetti is the name of sophia's father, and it is from him that sophia draws most of her features. he is tall, dark-haired, and much too handsome for a man of his age. having lived and worked in italy for more than a decade, his italian accent is present whenever he speaks; he also has a habit of throwing in various italian phrases into his speech whenever he can't articulate the english equivalent. he's very smart and highly analytical - he was at the top of his class in university, and moved to america, and later on canada to pursue different job opportunities. family is very important to david rosetti, and this much is demonstrated by his yearly visits back to sicily to visit his grandmother, and the frequent dinners he takes his wife out to. (though sophia doesn't have any qualms about it, she does think it's a bit too much at times.) he also has quite the ego, and sophia likes to pick on him because of this; the two often have heated debates about different topics at the dinner table, while annika sits back and laughs at their antics. he's a lot more lax than sophia's mother, and is generally content with letting sophia go out with her friends whenever she wants, as long as she gets back at a reasonable time and it doesn't conflict with school or family events.

    on sophia's sixteenth birthday, she was surprised with a new addition to her family: a loveable and absolutely adorable golden retriever and labrador retriever mix. luther became one of her closest companions after a year or two of training; sophia whole-heartedly thinks that she has the friendliest dog in the whole city. after realizing that luther really liked going long walks and runs, sophia began taking her dog out to soccer practices, where he could run along the field as much as he wanted to. to this day, sophia believes that getting luther was the best birthday present she'll ever receive from anybody, and she absolutely loves her parents for it.
