if we just labeled each story with a number and then used a random number generator to choose them, we could keep two or three stories up for a week and then rotate. how about you can only be chosen once within the next week, and it can't be the same story. I could work on this, if needed. (considering that some of you have other jobs/duties on cs.)

seems like an interesting idea. although i have some questions.

would it just be stories? or could it be poems, and other stuff like that?
or just a mix of all?

it wouldn't just be stories, it could be any form of writing (poetry, short stories, books, stories, etc.)

if you'd like you could help out, considering that it would probably get a little unruly after people start submitting entries.

They um... well, are usually females that are very self-sufficient.

Listening to any kind of music works for me.
I don't exactly listen to music that's really inspirational or meaningful, but it always seems to help.
It just kind of gets me.. excited? I don't know how to describe it.

I've created three female characters in my writing that are young, spirited, witty, ride horses, and wear pants (they live in the western 1800s).

most of my characters are stubborn, and usually have an alternative sense. it really depends on what im writing though. i usually make other characters that are the complete opposite, just to change things up.

I agree, I don't think inklings needs more heated arguments
we are a nice community ;3
But if we do those recognition ideas in a way that everyone gets some exposure, then I think it'll be alright
for example; maybe we could make a list of completed stories on CS by peeps and link them somewhere for people to read
if they like those stories then they can check out the ongoing ones that those authors have
it's not anything like awards or stuff
but it could work

for you guys who really want you characters to be drawn but you can't draw them yourselves
