You decide on the house with a porch. If you go under it, you should avoid detection, and it should be quite cool, perfect for a nap. You head off across the road.

It's big, certainly, much bigger than most of the other houses here. All of them are rather extravagant, which makes you wonder why this place is so much more than the other suburb. Regardless, the only thing you can hear that causes you any worry is a dog barking somewhere. This neighborhood is quiet enough that you can hear how far away it is, so you disregard it and tuck yourself into the furthest corner you can, curl up, and sleep.

Despite it being a little dusty, you sleep like a log - when you wake up, it's already late in the afternoon. You yawn, stretch luxuriously, and look around, feeling refreshed.

A small grey cat stares at you from less than a fox-length away.

You freeze in surprise, temporarily unsure of what to do or say. Thirty seconds pass of complete silence.

It's a molly, you can tell - she looks younger than you are, probably too young for the vets to have gotten to her. Black spotted markings stand out on her fur, and her two front paws are white at the toes, with her back feet being white up to the hock. Two dull green eyes stare at you from a tilted head, ears twitching once or twice.

She doesn't seem aggressive - in fact, she looks quite pleased to see you here. You take another second to think of what to say.

I say to the molly, feeling confused,"Uh... hello." It was rather odd that this cat seemed happy I was here. In this area, I would've expected a stranger to try to drive me off.

Who is this cat? And why is she just standing there? It might not be a bad idea to practice asserting some authority. "Don't watch me when I sleep

"Can I help you?" I ask. This molly doesn't seem very aggressive so there's no reason to scare the poor thing.
