This will probably the main character for my new diary. I just need something to write in other than the Dalek.

Any names for the character or Diary?
I made this on Pixlr, too. I just need all the items except for the wings and wig...

Well, I better get trading! xD

Bump; here are some world-building questions. I had all of them answered with long paragraphs for both my universes, but then I closed the tab and lost all of them. Now I am too frustrated to do it again.

What forms of magic/powers appear in your not-diary?
Across the universe of my stories? Practically any type of magic I can think of. In my actual not-diaries, Summer almost never talks about magic, Rane's diary is based around them, and Miollee talks about it occasionally.
zHow do they affect everyday life?
Pets basically can use magic whenever they please, and they are usually used for fighting or house-hold tasks.
zAre there any laws related to them?
You can't do stuff like blow up cities or anything that harms the population. This is why drama happens so much.
zHow common are they? Does this vary from region to region? Practically EVERY single pet has a power, even if it's just organizing everything with their mind. Not everyone chooses to use them, though.

Wouldn't harming the general population be against the law in general, though? Unless you mean there's a specific punishment when using magic. If so, that's a really interesting law. Elaborate, please? o3o

To answer my own questions (Apolloverse is the Lychee, Longan, EoM, and Beaker; CelestialD, meaning Celestial Diaries, is the Planet):
What forms of magic/powers appear in your not-diary?
Apolloverse: There are six types of spirits roaming the world - earth, water, air, fire, light, and shadow. They aren't exactly malevolent, but they're not benevolent either. It's, like, complicated. They control their respective elements, and sometimes, they possess unused bodies, retaining their abilities in the process. Also, spirits can give mortals powers.
CelestialD: Apart from the Six Spirits (yeah, the concept of elemental spirits shows up a bunch), which are basically gods, and the Artifact Sextet (I plan to change their name soon), created by the Spirits, none.
Most of its characters actually have latent magic, but until the fabric of the universe weakens, it will completely prevent anyone from using it.
zHow do they affect everyday life?
Apolloverse: In Alinia, a lot. It never rains, because the government has made a deal with the water spirits. Now they basically manipulate the water cycle to plop water straight into the reservoirs. In exchange, they promise never to pollute the water.
CelestialD: The Spirits don't. However, one of their Artifacts allegedly kills some people who will do evil, before they turn evil. This seems to mainly result in kids suddenly dropping dead. Naturally, parents in some villages bring up their children very carefully, so that they don't turn evil and get blasted by the Artifact.
zAre there any laws related to them?
Apolloverse: The government doesn't even dare trying to contain the spirits themselves, but there are strict laws imposed on the mortals with powers. Earth magic in particular, due to its majorly powerful abilities. More powerful ones have the ability to manipulate life, which is majorly majorly majorly illegal. Also, harming people in general is outlawed. That goes even without magic, but using one's powers to do it will reap you an even worse punishment. This is because it's considered... disrespecting the spirits, kind of. Which is strange, seeing as they wouldn't care if you committed mass murder as long as you don't disturb nature.
CelestialD: You. Do. Not. Disturb. The Artifact Sextet. No, not even then. Even museums will pretty much be laughed at if they try to get it.
zHow common are they? Does this vary from region to region?
Apolloverse: Alinia has the best relationship out of many countries with the elemental spirits, so they have the most people with powers. Even then, though, it's rare. Maybe about one in every eight hundred people have it.

If you end up using magic to harm the population, you can end up with limited power even if you previously were the best magician ever. Harming the population. If you didn't use magic, that would probably get you locked away in antimagic prisons, which don't allow you to use magic at all.

Basically, harming the population with magic would make you have to practice EVERYTHING again, whereas just harming the population would get you sent to jail, and while you are in jail, you cannot use magic at all.

zWhat forms of magic/powers appear in your not-diary?
There's, of course, elemental magic: wind, shadow, so on. However, elemental magic is quite rare, I'd say, and not many animals know about it.
However, flight is rather common among most dogs, and it's not surprising to be able to fly in this world. However, you have to have some kind of wings to fly - artificial wings can be made, but they would wear out, unlike naturally-made wings. Wings have evolved to become stronger - but still hollow enough to get a heavy mammal to take flight.
There are also 'small' powers that live on in several families. Breathing underwater, telekinesis (only with small objects, and at a close distance), potion making (though not exactly a power), etc.
Shapeshifting is a very rare ability to have at birth - however, an animal could train hard to master this. However, the art of shapeshifting is forbidden.
zHow do they affect everyday life?
Most animals don't know about them.
However, powers pass on from generation to generation in certain families. For example, a fire elemental could use fire to cook their food. A wind elemental could pick up objects (that a natural wind can pick up), and so on.
zAre there any laws related to them?
Again, as said, not many dogs know about them. If they are used to hurt the population, destroy property and so on, it would be as if they had done it 'by hand' - if a fire elemental started a fire, most animals assume they used a match or something else. Shapeshifting, however, could equal to ten or more years in prison - maybe even a lifetime in prison. They would also have to drink a specially made potion which would weaken the power - the strongest potion would completely destroy it, with some after effects.
zHow common are they? Does this vary from region to region?
The 'small' powers would be called uncommon - however, they pass from generation to generation. Elemental powers are rare - shapeshifting is very rare. Potion making and flight is quite common among the locals, though.

Anyways. (Well, that was fun.) I could start another diary except for the Hawk. Except I also have the 'Secrets Revealed' thing to write in. And of course, I semi-quit the Rawst Berry. That was a failure. Oh, well. I'll have to think about it...

I'm just going to ramble on about random things.

A random 'diary' idea of mine is having all the characters based off elements of the Periodic Table. Their personalities could be based off what the element actually does.

About 4 pages back, Splashtail suggested about doing an Undertale diary. When I saw it, I was like: Um, okay. Is Undertale that really popular game going around? Now, I'm like: Undertale? DID YOU SAY UNDERTALE?! *searches it* YOU DID SAY IT! I'd love to see an Undertale diary! I've never played the full game myself (only the demo) but the internet is a very... informative source.
