The First Challenge!



In a field, not a singular living creature can be found, other than the grass beneath your bare toes, and a singular golden tree. The sky is gloomy this day, only a sliver of light pushing it's way through the canopy of clouds as far as you can see.
Somehow, this tree has survived, mercifully being granted the light it needs to thrive.

The challenge is to write a 1000-1500 word story, using the picture above as inspiration
You must follow all forum rules, and all work must be your own

Thanks for accepting/adding me Quick question, is there a time-limit on the weekly prompt? c: I've been wracking my brain for three days (at the least) and finally got something done today!! but it might take me a little while to post it - I can (and will) bump doing that up higher on my list of priorities if there's a limit, though c:

I've been thinking of changing it to maybe 2 monthly prompts, so that gives everyone plenty of time to write something if they'd like, and new ones will be posted every 1st of the month.

If the promp ever changes, but you haven't finished yet, you're always more than welcome to post it when it is finished and I will add it to the table of contents
