Sorry I haven't been writing in the past few days. Something.... Er.... Odd happened.
I fell asleep, exhausted. I woke up three seconds later, and saw myself. Glancing at myself, I saw I was still the same., yet I was floating.
Whoa.... I whispered. What am I?
You are what Ancient Egyptians called a ba.
I turned around. You!
Smiling, they responded. Yes, me. I am Dream Catcher, keeper of good and bad dreams. I control whether or not you return alive from your dreams. If you do, then you will remain sane or-
Insane. I get it, I interrupted. So, why am I here?
He sighed, and shook his head. Follow me, he said softly. He grabbed my paw, and I didn't glare at him. I was too curious. We vanished and reappeared at an oasis. This way, he said, jumping down from the air. I followed again, curious. He walked into a tunnel that lasted for what seemed like a lifetime. Suddenly, it opened up.
Whoa.
'Whoa' is correct, Dream Catcher commented. This is the Egyptian afterlife, or what they thought it'd look like. He lead me through the hall,and we stopped at-
My old home.
He nodded. This is just a mirror image. Look closer.
I squinted my eyes. I soon saw what he could see. All I see is.... Is.... Nothing but lava, darkness, sand, and a bit of purple.
He nodded, and said, You are correct. Ginger, we are in the Duat.
