Earlier--- On a plane headed toward California.

Amy: So do you understand the plan? Jenette: Brilliant. A trap no one would ever expect. Amy: After it's over though, remember to lay low. Xura can be... Uncontrollable. Jenette: How would you know if she's never really been in the field? Amy: Remember the chip I mentioned that's in her brain? Jenette: Yeah.. Amy: It analyzes her thoughts, emotions, power. It keeps her in check. Her brain kinda built around her chip. We pay high to see what's in that head of hers. If this plan works, she could get a little out of hand. Jenette: I understand. Should I quit the CIA after? Angelo owes me one. Amy: that would be wise. And if possible, get into the book she writes in.Jenette smiled.
Jenette: I just can't wait to see him again. - Back to our regularly scheduled writing -
Me: Jake... Who is this? A dark feeling dropped like a boulder on me. Could Jake be... Cheating? The thought made me shudder.
Jake stuttered and then he did something I least expected- he hugged the girl. I think he was actually crying too.
Jake: Jenette! I thought you were dead! I cleared my throat and gave Jake a look. It was like I wasn't even here.
Jake: How- what- where were you? Jenette: I was made into a slave. I earned my freedom and I was searching for you. I met Matthew when I heard him talking to someone about you. After their little reunion, Jake actually noticed me and instantly stopped hugging her.
Jake: *ahem* it's really nice to see you. Xura, this is my old friend Jenette. She used to go everywhere with me. And one day, she was going home from another country and she was caught trespassing and they wouldn't let her leave! So she became a slave, bought her freedom, and left. Me: Wow. Sounds like you've been through a lot. Jenette: More than you could possibly understand. She smiled and reached out her paw. Her eyes glittered. I took her paw and shook it.
Jake: Do you want something to eat? He put her arm around her. Jealously rose in me like a storm.
I took off my stupid cheerleading stuff started packing my briefcase.
I think Matthew noticed I was steamed and went upstairs.
Matthew: Xura. Calm down, it's okay. It's just an old friend of his. Me: Calm down?! What kind of friendship did they have anyway? I'm sure when he puts his arms around another girl in my home it's over.I pushed past him.
Me: I have things to do anyway. I shook my head. And went through the door without looking back. I could tell Matthew was trying to sympathize with me but I was too frustrated to care. I went on rooftop and changed:

I put in my com. and took out my laptop and headphones. I leaped a few buildings, then I spotted Amy in an alley walking slowly towards the fountain. She was on her phone like I predicted.
Me: Alright Nick. Time to learn her number. I used NSA technology I obtained earlier from shield to intercept her conversation. I got her number and I could only hear her side of the conversation.
Amy: I'm on my way now. She could be armed. She was a lot different from the last time I saw her. I'm almost at the location. The other side of the conversation was fuzzy and i couldn't hear it.
Amy: I doubt it. Maybe she's trying to prepare herself for something. It's unlikely she's a double agent. Alright. I'm at the location, I have to go. She hung up her phone And sat on the bench by the water fountain. I could see she had a track gun in her leather jacket. I half laughed. The trick was so new yet it felt so old to me since I used it today.
I called her cellphone and took out my voice disguiser. I quickly stuck an anti-trace button on my phone.
I used my nightvision goggles to watch her from where I was.
Me: Alright, Nick, your up. Tell me what to say. I could see her phone ringing, and she picked it up.
Amy: Hello? In a deep voice because of the voice disguiser, I responded.
Nick: Repeat what I say. Me: Your looking for me? Put your track gun in the fountain. Amy: Where are you? She looked around, but I was too far for her to see me.
Nick: You need to have control over the situation. Make her do what you want. Me: I ask the questions here. Do what I say and I'll come out. Reluctantly, she threw her gun in the fountain.
Amy: Now what? Me: Undo the weapon straps on your legs and throw them in there too. Amy: How did you- Me: Remember. I ask the questions.Amy did as she was told. I started climbing down the building and into the alley that was behind the direction she faced.
Me: Relieve your jacket pockets of the ninja stars. Kick them in front of you.Amy: I don't have ninja stars in- Me: Do as I say! Amy sighed and took the ninja stars out of her pockets and kicked them in front of her.
I was nearing her. I lifted my track gun.
Me: Step backward 5 paces. She stepped backwards.
Amy: Now what? I aimed the gun at her head, and hung up.
Me: Turn around. Amy turned and smiled.
Amy: You got better. Whose teaching you? Me: hmph. Can't a girl learn on her own? It's only the cool new toys that make it fun. She laughed a little.
Amy: So you drew me out with your reverse physchology... What do you want? I lowered the gun.
Nick: Tell her you want to be a spy. Me: I want to be a real spy. I want to work for Thunder. Nick: Good job kid. Amy: I don't believe it. Why now all of a sudden? And why Thunder for that matter? Nick: Be careful here. Me: Life is getting tougher. I need something to keep me thinking straight. I don't want to be weak. And obviously, Thunder has a fierce fighting approach. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. Amy smirked.
Amy: and why should I believe you? How do I know your not a double agent. Me: Look at me. I'm weak. All I've got is a couple of toys that I have no experience with. I need to be something stronger, bigger. And if I was a double agent, I would've already shot you with this dart and turned you in. No one would've known, and they'd think you were dead. Nick: Kid, your pretty good. Amy: Alright. We have a flight scheduled to leave in 30 minutes. You ready? Me: Born ready. I took my briefcase and laptop as she got her weapons from everywhere they were scattered.
Amy: So.. Xura. How did you know about the weapon straps I have? Me: Any good spy has them, including me. They're useful when your dad tries to steal info from your computer. Amy smiled a little.
Amy: I never saw this side in you when I first met you. Me: What can I say? *shrugs* People change. I took the com. out of my ear and put in my breifcase.
I thought of Jake and that girl Jenette. People really do change... And quickly. I sighed and followed Amy to the private jet she had.
I sat in one of the comfy seats.
I opened my laptop. My screensaver was Jake and me at the football game. It angered me when I thought about Jake and Jenette. Who is she to just barge in my life and start stealing my boyfriend?
All the drinking glasses at the bar, which served coke only, in the middle of the plane lifted up. Amy didn't notice since she was on the phone with someone important in the back.
I realized I was using telekinesis! I slowly lowered the glasses to the counter without any effort.
that was strange... Just yesterday it was difficult just to lift Nick's frappicino... Does my power run on anger?
Amy came back from the back of the plane and noticed my puzzled look.
Amy: Everything okay?Me: I'm fine. It's nothing. Amy looked like she was going to walk away to another chair.
Me: would you like to sit? I motioned to the chair in front of me.
Amy: sure. She sat and opened her laptop. We sat in silence for a little while, working on our computers. I was looking through the classified shield files.
Me: So... What have you been up to since Russia? Amy looked up from her computer.
Amy: You know, the usual. Interrogating a French man, then a Russian man, and meeting a few people. Me: Ah. Amy: How about you? ... How's school? It was weird because we were the same age but so different.
Me: I'm graduating next month. Amy: I thought you were a junior. Me: Apparently, I'm a gifted student. I took a sip of my frappe I had gotten from the bar that only served coke *magic*.
Amy: congratulations. Well... That would make spying easier. Me: I suppose.Amy: You sound a little.. Disappointed. Don't you want school to be over? I hear that every teenager just wants to get out of school. Me: Not this teenager. I won't be able to see my friends and boyfriend everyday like I do now. But I guess I am trying to get away from my social life, aren't I? I took another sip of my frappe`.
Amy: I didn't have school like you and I'm not very familiar with the term "friend" can you elaborate? Me: Sure. A friend is someone you can trust with anything. You care about them and you appreciate their company. You talk and sleepover at each other's houses and just well... Hang out I guess. Amy took a sip of her black coffee.
Amy: Intresting. So do you train with a "friend"? Me: You could... But most people prefer to talk to their friends. I closed my shield documents and opened up Chicken Smoothie. I had to chat with Cassie via PM.
Me: How were you taught, Amy? Amy: To be independent, don't break windows unless your breaking in, and don't trust anyone. Me: Trusting no one seems so crazy to me. There has to be at least one person on the earth you can trust. Amy: No one. And if there was, she died. Amy didn't even looked phased as she said that.
Amy: It was probably for the better too. Spies shouldn't have deep bonds with people. You learn it the more you start to do it. People just get in the way... They give you something to live for. A spy has to be ready for anything... Ready to die any second. Her cold words made me shiver. I looked up from my computer.
Me: I suppose that could be true. But it pays to have friends. People for when your falling off a cliff, they'll grab your hand. Amy: My colleagues would do that for me. Me: What if they were getting paid for your death? Would they pick you up then? Amy: ... I suppose not. But colleagues nonetheless are better for spies than friends. There was a small silence.
Me: Hmph.. Friends are good for forgiving each other and keeping secrets. I can't say the same for colleagues. Amy heasitated for a moment and took a big sip of her black coffee, then all of a sudden, she dropped it!
Without even controlling it, my telekinesis stopped it midair. Amy's eyes widened. I was moving it without effort and I made a surprised face.
Amy picked up her coffee cup and scooped up all the mid-air coffee into it.
Amy: What was that? Me: That was totes weird. Amy: I would ask what "totes" means but I'm so stunned by what happened I can't even comprehend it. Me: Me either. I went back on my computer, unphased.
Amy: You don't look as surprised as me. Me: What? Me? No It was super amazing what happened. Amy: You know something, don't you? Me: Maybe. I took a sip of my frappicino. I was just going to tell her that it was a tool I got that lifts things in air on demand.
Amy: What happened when you met doctor charm?Me: Doctor Charm? How did you know about her? Have you been stalking me?! Amy: She works at Thunder now. She told us she met you once, wanted to use you for a project. It was going well until all your colleagues- Me: Friends. Amy: -stormed in and ruined her experiment. She never specified the experiment exactly. Can you tell me? Me: I don't know. I only tell friends classified information... Not colleagues. I looked up at her with a bit of a smile. She took a moment of heasitation.
Amy: Are you asking me to be your friend? I shrugged.
Me: Maybe. Are you asking me to join a spy organization called Thunder? Amy: I could be. I laughed, and after a while Amy laughed too.
Amy: Alright, I'll be your friend. Where do I sign? It took me a moment to realize she was actually serious.
Me: Sign? You don't have to sign anything. Amy: But I thought I have to be your friend. Doesn't that mean I have to promise on paper to forgive you and trust you and keep secrets? Me: That's the thing. When you become someone's friend, you silently commit to be the best friend you can be, and I trust you to do it. Amy: Oh. That's intresting... Ok. Alright can I hear what happened? Me: Wait. First we have to make a secret paw-shake. Amy: A paw shake? She stuck her paw out and shook mine.
Amy: Like that? Me: No... Like this. We went up down, paw-bumped, held each other's wrists, and then jazz hands.
Amy: That's silly. Me: I can always know it's you when you do that. Oh! And because we're spies we should also have a code phrase to recongnize each other with. Amy: ... Like "Silly string" in Italian? Me: YES! Do you know Italian? Can you do it? Amy: Sure! It's sciocco stringaMe: sciocco stringa, huh? Seems easy enough. Lol. Amy: Lol? Me: Oh it means "Laughed out loud" it's just something you say when you hear something funny. Inbetween friends, of course. Amy: Alright. Lol. Okay. Now will you answer the question? Me: Sure. I explained everything that had happened.
Amy: so telekinesis... What if I don't believe you? I lifted her cup with a ton of effort. It looks like I calmed down.
Amy: That was not as strong as I remember... Me: I think it runs on anger or something. I can't really control it.Amy: What were you angry about? Me: Jake and some girl. All my feelings of anger came back and the tables in the plane started floating. I curled my fists in anger.
Amy: Wow. It really does run on anger, I can't wait to tell- Me: NO! It's a secret, remember? Friends keep secrets. Amy: But- Me: I don't want you to share it. Amy: Imagine being able to control it. Me: No thanks. I'll figure it out. All the glasses from the bar started floating up too.
Amy: Alright. The tables slowly floated down. And I let the glasses float down too.
Amy: Do you want to tell me about this girl? Me: Not really. In a nutshell, Jake loves her. I can tell by looking at them. Amy: What's her name? Me: Jenette. I curled my fists and broke a glass at the bar.
Amy: Maybe we should talk some other time. Me: Maybe. I smiled. It seemed like Amy and i might be destined to be friends. Hmmm... I should probably leave you on a cliffhanger....
Plane: EMERGENCY!!! Me: What's going on?!Oh there it is. Bye diary, let's hope I live!
