Scary stories (dont read if you are easily scared)

Now I am scared. Me and my friend, Jake, are home alone at my house and something extremely spooky just happened. We are actually babysitting our siblings while our parents are a party. We were sitting on the computer, just searching up random things. This was about 9pm I think, so obviously the kids were asleep and we were bored. We were just giggling about some stupid thing we had found when the power turned off. It was ghostly silent and pitch black. I shrugged and grabbed a torch, Jake following behind me, and I went outside to check the power box. I flicked some switches but nothing happened. We gave up and went to find some candles. I lit a few candles and burned myself in the process. I went to go and run some water over my burn but when I turned the tap on, only a drizzle of water came out. Now we were confused. I just stuck my finger in the ice tray while Jake went to find his phone and call his parents. But we couldn't find it. We couldn't find mine either. So we figured we would just sit around and something would happen. And it did. We were chatting about stuff when a cold breeze blew through the house and blew out the candles. The weird thing about that was we didn't open any windows. Suddenly, Jake whispered "Whats that?"
I turned around but I couldn't see a thing. I fumbled around for the torch and switched it on when I found it. He was staring at a place near the table. "What?" I asked but he didn't answer. Then I saw a flash of light zip across the table. I tried to follow it with my torch but I wasn't fast enough. I was definitely scared now, and so was Jake. We ran into the living room with the torch. That's where we've been for the past while. The dogs kept barking at something and we could hear something metallically. Then, suddenly the power and water came back on. Our phones were found sitting right next to each other on the kitchen bench. It's 10:30pm now and everything is back to normal. I don't understand what it could be! Any ideas? We've researched, obviously, but we could find nothing. I'm spooked now...

Well, shadow fox5, I am pretty sure it was a ghost or a spirit of some kind. Has anything happened like this before? Have you had a dream about that type of thing happening? I have heard of this happening, but it was only in families where someone has died. Has anyone in your family died?

I need these questions answered before I can come to a conclusion...

Well, once I was having my picture taken under a tree. When I looked back at the picture there was some weird dot above my head. it could have been a trick of the light but we were outside in the middle of the day. No, I've never dreamed about this kind of thing and yes, someone in my family has passed away.

The only answer I could come up with is this: The spirit of your family member might be trying to tell you or warn you of something.

The dot in the picture is one of the most common forms of spotting ghosts. They either show as a dot, or a faded human figure.

One story I made up..
There once was a 12 year old girl named Elizabeth whose parents told her not to answer the door if someone knocked while they were gone. One night they forgot to remind her..
It was 8:45 pm and Elizabeth's parents were gone at an italian restaraunt. Someone knocked. Elizabeth thought Mom and Dad are back pretty early! So she went to the door. When she opened it, an old man with only a little gray hair was standing on the doorstep. He was in a wheelchair asking if he could come in. "Sure," Elizabeth replied. She thought He's a poor old lost man! Mom and Dad won't mind if he comes in. The old man asked her some pretty personal questions and she anwered them with true answers!
It was 9:30 now. The old man opened up his bag in his wheelchair and pulled out some chocolate cupcakes with powdered sugar all over them. (Or so she thought..) "Want one?" He grinned a bit evily. "Sure," Elizabeth said, grabbing one. She took a bite and then suddenly screamed. "What's wrong, dearie?" The man asked, pulling off a mask, revealing the face of a killer..
When Mom and Dad got home there was no man in sight, just their daughter dead on the couch, with a note beside her, reading You should have told her to lock the door!
It turned out the cupcakes were covered in poison...

Hell I got a 7 year old blonde kid and a pervy 60+ old man. The girl trips me when I walk up my stairs and Ive already been in the emergency room 8 times since I moved here 1/2 a year ago. The old man watches me get dressed and undressed. Feel lucky you only got a ghost that tels bad jokes. Im in the house alone right now and there are footsteps upstairs and giggling. The dogs are in the living room with me, the cat in on my lap, everyone is out at town, all the doors and windows are shut and locked. I. Am. Terrified. The little girl is a crazy ass lunatic hell bent on killing me. You are lucky.
