Yeah, the staff is a little...negligent. I've never personally had a problem, mostly because I stay away from the forums and just focus on my lair, but I've heard a lot of issues raised about them.

But hey, I can't complain much, especially when you can have dragons that look like this:

Stunning dragon- wow. I noticed the August 13th registration window and was like "I'll go do that" then forgot about it until August 24th then I was like "heh oh yeah..."
