That was one thing that always surprised me about the books - they never had a loner with a strange name that the Clan cats could react to. Then again, it ain't like there was much good about them...

Don't get me wrong, I am not 100% traditional. I have my Crimsonfox and Emeraldgaze characters, but all those examples make me cringe. Mine make somewhat of sense if I explained their backstory, but I don't plan to change their names even if they still don't count as traditional.

(Though I'm smart enough to not make characters with these names as fan cats or Arcaii will have heart failure)

I like the ideas that have been presented in Skyclan, but they aren't executed well. For example, the idea of letting loners/rogues/kittypets come without necessarily joining to see if the life is for them sounds pretty good [Yay for them actively adding to the gene pool as to not deal with the problem the main four clans have now], but they should've say, had a limit of one moon before having to decide, or something of the sort.
