.:Knock, knock, knock...:.

"Hurry up!!"
Nick was waiting in his old, beat up car, his fingers tapping against the steering wheel while he waited for his girlfriend, Lilith. It was October 25th and a costume party was going on at Huthford Hall. Nick was just in a jogging suit, his Nikes with a silver streak down the side thumping against the base of the car floor in a bored rhythm.
"Sorry! I had to finish doing my ha-... What kind of costume is that?" Lilith said as she got into the car, pulling her fake tail into the car and putting it onto her lap before she shut the door behind her. She was looking at Nick with a disgusted look.
"I'm a runner." Nick shrugged, turning the key and turning on his car, pulling the car out of the driveway. "What about you?"
"I'm a cat! Can't you tell?!" Lilith pouted, tucking at her kitty ears and pulling her seat belt into place.
"No I can't..." Nick muttered while in response the car sputtered.
"Fine... How about some music?" Lilith said, then reached for the drawer where Nick kept his CDs. She would rather listen to some music than this old car's polluting potential, both environmentally and noise wise...
With an awkward chuckle, Nick sighed. "CD player's broken."
"That's just great. What do we listen to then?"
"The radio works." Nick said, leaning over and turning on the radio with a flick of a switch.
The road to Huthford was damp. The fog was thick to a four meter radius and the headlights were barely working. The radio sputtered to life, and the only station that was working played this.
ATTENTION... ATTENTION... zzzt... The Hangman has escaped from the custody unit on Jacklyn Avenue.... Vtshhhh.... All nearby persons are advised to... Zttt.... shhhhh....... The announcement was drowned in static then stopped all together... The radio had died.
Liliith was scared. They had to pass that road to get to Huthford. They were just coming across it now, Lilith's fingers and hands crossed that this car could get them there and back safely.... When the car died....
"Oh no... Ooooh no.... W-What if that guy is still around here? What if-"
"Relax, Lil." Nick smirked, acting very nonchalantly about this. "It's just the battery. There should be a gas station just four blocks ahead."
"Four blocks?! Y-You're not going to leave me here alone, are you?!"
"Relax. I've got my runners. I'll be there and back in no time. Besides, you can't run in those." Nick chuckled, but Lilith still wasn't happy, clutching to Nick's hand with a look that said, Don't joke about this... With a sigh, Nick gave Lilith a peck on the cheek and smiled. "There's a blanket in the back. Hide under that and keep the door locked until I come for you."
"But how will I know it's you?..." Lilith said worriedly, lowering her head in fear.
"I'll knock three times. Just like this." Nick said as he opened the car door just behind him and knocked on the roof of the car. Knock... knock... knock... "Keep the keys. It'll be safer." Nick said, then put the keys of his old car into Lilith's hand.
With a nod, Lilith watched Nick get out and jog up the road, soon vanishing into the fog. Lilith then closed and locked the doors of the car, climbing into the back seat and covering herself with the blanket, hiding between the rows of chairs.
It felt like she was waiting for hours. She heard rustling and dripping from outside.
Knock....
Lilith was just about to jump up with joy, but she remembered that there had to be three. "Come on... Again..."
Knock...
"One more time..." She thought, squeezing her eyes shut.
Knock......
"Nick!!" Lilith thought with joy, just about to throw the blanket off, but she froze.
Knock......
Lilith froze and trembled, not daring to move. "N-Nick?..." She said quietly. No answer... Just knocking on the roof of the car.
Knock....... Knock........ Knock.....
With every knock, Lilith felt like a bit of her insanity was being taken away from her bit by bit. Then suddenly, there was a police siren, followed by voices and then the flash of a light through the fog. She could see it through the blanket and pulled it off, looking up. There were two police officers signaling her to unlock the door and come out, so she did.
"O-Officer Jake... Where's Nick?... D-Did you see him?" She asked, frantically.
The officers exchanged uncertain looks and lead Lilith to the squad car. "... We will explain later... Just don't look behind you..." Officer Jake said very lowly.
Lilith nodded, but she couldn't resist. She only took two more steps before she turned her head to look. She couldn't believe her eyes and fell to her knees in tears. Hanging by a rope around his neck just above the car was Nick... His body swinging and his Nike tapping against the roof of the car.
Knock... Knock... Knock...

It's Nick!!!NO he DIED!(Just kidding :) )

Nah, I never knew him....>_< Ok, I think someone requested....Third Time Is The Charm? Ok.

It was dark. It was light. It was dark. It was light.
The blinking lights of Maggano Cafe could drive the lonesome midnight customer insane out on the long expanse of road leading to California. Jamie Lundda was one of those midnight customers, but not an insane one. Her car had popped a tire, and the Cafe owner's brother had offered to fix it. Tomorrow morning.
There was no one else in the cozy little dinner that could have come out of an '80's movie. Jamie sat in a booth on the back wall, looking out into the dark night. An hour or so after Jamie had been in the cafe, it had started to rain. So now she could only see a few feet past the neon light coming from the window. When she had first seen Maggano Cafe, she had questioned the fact that it was the only place for more than 60 miles. And that there was a graveyard right next to it.
Jamie could see the graveyard in the dark, about 4 yards away from the cafe. She shivered.
"Where ya' hedin' to, ma'am?" The waitor said in a thick accent from behind the counter. Jamie looked up.
"California. Where else could this road lead?" She said, smiling. The waitor shrugged.
"Dunno, never bin on it. I wis brought here was I was still young." He said, turning to the oven when a young man in a black trench coat walked in. Something Jamie noticed about this man was that he showed no sign of being wet, or of ever being wet. She looked outside to make sure it was still raining, and it was. Then she realized there was no cars beside hers. How had the man gotten there?
"Whats ya' name, pahtnah?" The waitor asked the man as he sat down on a stool at the counter.
"I don't know, but you can call me third time is the charm." The man said in a deep, scratchy voice. Jamie looked away from the counter when the man turned to look at her. "Whats your name?" The man asked.
"Jamie." Jamie said.
"Jamie. Jamie? Jamie. I love that name, Jamie." The man hissed quietly. Jamie shivered, refusing to look at the strange man. Out of the corner of her eye she saw him turn around to face the waitor. But Jamie could still feel his eyes watching her.
The waitor and the man, third time is the charm, started to talk. The strange thing was, the waitor never looked at the man once. Jamie had an urge to look at the man in the black trench coat, but she wouldn't let herself. Soon it became overpowering, so she bit her lip and looked out into the rain. She gasped in horror. She had seen a face outside the window, staring at her!
Jamie, scared of the Cafe and the man, got up from her booth and walked to the door. Then she slapped her forehead. She was a moron! She had left her keys in her car. Jamie, then feeling very smart, pulled out her cellphone. She would call a tow-truck that would take her away from this creepy place. But when she dialed the number, it came up as if she was in a dead zone. Then the battery died.
Jamie bit her lip, then ran out the door into the rainy night. She noticed a light behind the graveyard, and she decided to see what it was. At least it would keep her away from the strange man. She went around the graveyard until she saw the source of the light: a little cottage no bigger than a tool shed. Jamie knocked on the door, and a little old woman answered it.
"I'm Helen." The woman said, smiling.
"I'm Jamie. Glad to meet you. Thanks for letting me come in." Jamie replied.
"I couldn't let you stand out there all night, now could i?" Helena said with a soft chuckle. Jamie laughed a bit too, feeling happy to be with someone who seemed normal. "Now, why were you running away from that dinner, dearie?" Helen asked. Jamie frowned.
"There was a scary man there. I got frightened so I ran, then I saw your house and I thought.....I would see who you are." Jamie admitted. Helen nodded in understanding.
"You should never travel these roads. Never. The only way to escape the man is to look him in the eyes, but not when he askes you for a third time. All right?" Helen said, as if Jamie had asked how she could escape. Jamie was confused.
"What? Why?" She asked. Helen shook her head.
"Go now, then you can escape." She said. Jamie began to get angry.
" I can leave right now if I wanted to!" She growled, not understanding the matter of life and death. The urgency in Helen's plan for Jamie's escape.
"Do it before midnight, or you will haunt this place with us." Helen said. Jamie then found herself back in the cafe, staring out the window. The man was sitting across from her, leaning toward her. She could smell his foul breath and hear his heart beating.
"Look at me Jamie." The man said. Jamie didn't hear him, she was wondering if it had all been a dream. She couldn't see the light of Helen's house from where she sat. What had happened?
"Look at me Jamie." The man said again. Jamie ignored him.
"Look at me Jamie." He said again. Jamie hadn't heard him say it the first time, and she thought this was the second time. She looked at him, then gasped in horror. The man had no face! His head was empty and smooth, like a pale human colored rock. Jamie screamed, bursting into tears. Blood ran from her eyes instead of water, and she cried out in pain.
"Third time is the charm isn't it? We all have to die some time, don't we?" The man said. Jamie screamed, then ran out into the rain. She didn't know she had been hit by a car on the road until she walked back into the cafe.
It was dark. It was light. It was dark. It was light.

Jamie Lundda was one of those midnight customers, but not a bored one. A dead, insane one. Her car had popped a tire, and the Cafe owner's brother had offered to fix it. Tomorrow morning. A few minutes ago. There was no point now, as she and the strange man sat talking like old friends.
Yes. Third time is the charm.

I'm in my room right now all allone in the darkness and something just popped into my head. I shall call it, Chain Enjoy :P

Lanna... Calls an eerie voice... Running.... The pitter patter of her bare feet against the forest floor... All that can be heard is that and the sound of her own rushed breathing and her feet padding against the ground.... Then finally, the rush of ice cold water sweeping over her spine, but she is still dry... Fade away....
Bzzzt!!! Bzzzt!!! The alarm clock rang.
Lanna Kaine was a regular girl. She went to school just like any other day, but today seemed different.
Lanna snapped awake, her eyes wide and her lungs wretching for air. Her alarmclock was blaring and she slapped he hand down on the clock to shut it off.
"I'm up... I'm up..." Lanna groaned. That was such a weird dream... She thought.
Everyone would stare a her as she passed. "Poor girl..." They would whisper as she would walk by in the hall. "... It's just how it is..."
They were apologizing to her out of the blue, or fearing her and backing away. They would treat her too nicely or not acknowledge her at all.
By the end of school, Lanna was fed up with it and stormed up to her best friend, Paula.
"Paula? What happened? Everyone is looking at me so weird today..." Lanna said quetly with a frown, but Paula didn't answer. She just looked at Lanna with a tearful look and shook her head, turning and running away.
Something was terribly wrong.... What was so different today? Was it her hair? The way she spoke? Her eyes? What?....
On Lanna's way home, she couldn't help but belt out, "What is going on today!?!?!" in the middle of what she thought was an empty park.

".... Tonight something is sure to pierce through your spine....
... Something cold... Something dark... Something that will make you mine...."

A pleasent, but eerie voice... It sounded sweet and kind, but familiar... Where was it coming from? Lanna looked back and forth and saw no one, but she was scared. She began to walk again, not daring to look around any longer.

".... A little poem, a little rhyme.....
... A little death in little time..."

There it was again. That eerie voice that ran through Lanna like an evil glare into her soul. She broke into a run, covering her ears as she dashed. That voice... it was calling out to her.

"... Tonight, the prison is your dream....
... To make it true is one final scream..."

Again... She pushed her hands against her ears even harder, but the voice got through. It was hurting her and scaring here. What was happening?
She finally reached her house and shut the door behind her, breating heavily and huffing. The voice had stopped....
"Lanna... You look pale. Would you like some hot chocolate?" Lanna's mother asked out of concern, seeing her daughter run into the house like she had seen a flock of ghosts.
"No thanks, Mom... I'm... j-just going to go to bed early..." Lanna replied, trudging up the stairs looking absolutely ghastly.
Tick.... Tick.... Tick....
It was no eleven... Lanna was in her night gown, laying awake quietly as she stared at the cieling. Then the clock changed. 11:11.... In bed for over six hours.... At least she was safe and awake... Or she thought.

"... Run..."

That voice from earlier.... It was back. Lanna couldn't disobey the voice. She began to run. She burst out from her bedroom door, down the stairs and outside. Out to the forest that extented behind the house and out of the town. Running.... The pitter patter of her bare feet against the forest floor... So familiar... This feeling was so familiar.
My dream... Lanna knew it.... This was her dream coming true. All that can be heard is that and the sound of her own rushed breathing and her feet padding against the ground.... And that voice...

I welcome you to your final night, Lanna,
Take someone with you. I know you wanna."

Lanna could feel her feet getting cut from the forest floor. With a final, soft and pain filled breath, she said, "... Paula...."

----
Paula... Calls a soft painful voice... Running.... The sound of her shoes against the ground... She can only hear the rushing of the cars.... Then finally, the rush of ice cold water sweeping over her spine, but she is still dry... Fade away....
Bzzzt!!! Bzzzt!!! The alarm clock rang.
Paula Ryerson was a regular girl. She went to school just like any other day, but today seemed different....
